They of all people should never have been displaced. The other tribes often acted in uncivilized ways which generated the phrase the only good Indian is a dead Indian.ultimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13624967903736347171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5548695401579410439.post-6885503410249307532010-05-31T23:21:39.891-05:002010-05-31T23:21:39.891-05:00"It's just like the Trail of Tears. The president didn't want all the Native Americans to die, he just wanted their land for the local white folks who were his constituents.

If the illegals would just leave, Joe wouldn't worry about them any more.ultimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13624967903736347171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5548695401579410439.post-1284382385708478692010-05-31T23:16:49.181-05:002010-05-31T23:16:49.181-05:00The Israelis may have been wrong this time but you...The Israelis may have been wrong this time but you have to keep in mind that what they were trying to do is stop the smuggling of arms to the Gaza Strip which end up being used to kill Israelis. Israel is a very small country located in the middle of its blood enemies -- people like Amadinejahd [sp]who denies the Holocaust.

Remember the Germans sank the Lusitania because they believed it was carrying arms and the were right.ultimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13624967903736347171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5548695401579410439.post-5449372482605054652010-05-31T23:15:36.870-05:002010-05-31T23:15:36.870-05:00Happy Memorial Day!

I also wanted to remind your readers of the many contributions that Hispanics made throughout the history of our great nation. According to Wikipedia,
“Did you know that Hispanics have participated in every conflict in which the United States has been involved, and over forty Hispanics have been awarded the Medal of Honor?”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Recent_additions/2006/July#15_July_2006
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Hispanic_Medal_of_Honor_recipients
I served four years in the military, including one year in Vietnam. The GI bill allowed me to go to college and buy a house. I have lived a long and prosperous life, and I am proud to call myself an American. All of this comes to a screeching halt, when I hear that Arizona passed a bill “1070” that discriminates against people that look like me, just because I happen to look like a Mexican. Well, my great-great-great grandparents were Mexicans. They lived in a part of Mexico that is now known as parts of Texas and several other states. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:U.S._Territorial_Acquisitions.png
If I were to visit AZ today, I would certainly be questioned for my papers. But if a white European tourist was walking nearby, he would just as certainly NOT be questioned for his papers. This is patently wrong. I want to send a message to AZ that really gets their attention. I want to reiterate the challenge made by many to boycott specific companies based in Arizona, such as: Budweiser (Hensley), PetSmart, Dial (soap), Best Western, U-Haul, University of Phoenix, Discount Tire and Fender Musical Instruments. Here are a few more companies:
http://nuevaraza.wordpress.com/2010/05/02/take-action-boycott-arizona-based-companies-heres-a-list/Anon4noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5548695401579410439.post-6398419514982179612010-05-31T23:11:59.873-05:002010-05-31T23:11:59.873-05:00As I have often said, we would welcome all Hispani...As I have often said, we would welcome all Hispanic citizens to join with us in supporting our immigration laws. You are welcome to our side.

I have also said who should have the greatest distance to travel to compromise and agreement: is it those who support our laws and want them enforced or is it those who do not. That pretty well sums up why it is so difficult to group together as a nation. One side gives precedence to foreigners over the wishes of their fellow citizens. The other gives precedence to the national interest, character, language and rule of law.

There is nothing wrong with studying foreign languages. I studied Spanish and German but neither was of great utility to me and my time could have better been spend on other subjects. But for some foreign language is their bag as interpreters at the UN, as international businessmen or students studying abroad. I just think it is extremely wasteful to have everything official printed in many languages, free interpreters provided to everyone, and all the other costs associated with multilingualism. Why would we want to continue doing that? It makes no sense.ultimahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13624967903736347171noreply@blogger.com
