ADL Names ANTI Hate Groups!

Hate Groups named by ADL: FAIR (including FAIR groups: "You dont speak for me" & "Choose Black America"), Minutemen, Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee , Alipac.us and more.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which monitors extremist groups and their rhetoric with regard to the immigration debate, has exposed a new development where some of the more mainstream anti-immigrant groups increasingly are adopting the tactics and rhetoric of racist groups and moving it into the mainstream.

"Under the guise of warning about the impact of illegal immigration in the rush to thwart the immigration bill from becoming law, some anti-immigrant groups reached for the playbook of hate groups," said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director. "They have taken hateful and racist rhetoric and brought it into the mainstream."

ADL's new online report, Immigrants Targeted: Extremist Rhetoric Moves into the Mainstream documents the rhetoric employed by groups that routinely position themselves as legitimate, mainstream advocates against illegal immigration in America.

A closer look at the public record reveals that many ostensibly mainstream anti-illegal immigration organizations – including those who testified before Congress or frequently appeared on news programs – promote virulent anti-Hispanic and anti-immigrant rhetoric. Some groups have fostered links with extremist groups.

The groups highlighted in the ADL report include Mothers Against Illegal Aliens (Phoenix, AZ), the Federation for American Immigration Reform (Washington, DC), Choose Black America, You Don't Speak for Me, Americans for Legal Immigration Political Action Committee (Raleigh, NC), Grass Fire (Maxwell, IA) and The Dustin Inman Society (Marietta, GA).

"The Ku Klux Klan and neo-Nazis were not the only ones who saw an opportunity in the national debate over immigration to sow the seeds of racism as a means to derail immigration reform," said Mr. Foxman. "While reasonable people can disagree about border control and the appropriate parameters for immigration reform, the debate has been tainted by the virulent anti-immigrant message employed by a handful of groups. The real victims in this are Hispanic-Americans and other immigrants who are being unfairly targeted, demeaned and stereotyped."

The report cites several key tactics used by anti-immigrant groups, including:
Describing immigrants as "third world invaders," who come to America to destroy our heritage, "colonize" the country and attack our "way of life." This charge is used against Hispanics, Asians and other people of color.

Using terminology that describes immigrants as part of "hordes" that "swarm" over the border. This dehumanizing language has become common. Portraying immigrants as carriers of diseases like leprosy, tuberculosis, Chagas disease (a potentially fatal parasitic disease), dengue fever, polio, malaria. Depicting immigrants as criminals, murderers, rapists, terrorists, and a danger to children and families. Propagating conspiracy theories about an alleged secret "reconquista" plot by Mexican immigrants to create a "greater Mexico" by seizing seven states in the American Southwest that once belonged to Mexico.

The Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913, is the world's leading organization fighting anti-Semitism through programs and services that counteract hatred, prejudice and bigotry.

  1. There is no end to your lies, false accusations and victimology is there, dee?

You bring up the same old drivel over and over under a new topic heading. Ultima and a few of us others have addressed every single one of your remarks before with truths you cannot deny. Does he have to do it all over again so you can once again bring the same old crap up again at a later date?

Your claims of racism and being anti-immigrant does not fit the majority of Americans for the rule of law and opposed to illegal immigration of which you choose to ignore.

Your ethnocentric, anti-American agenda borders on the psychotic.

  2. Pat, I am reporting what ADL published.

    Facts are facts!

  3. It's interesting that the ADL's list of extremist organizations apparently
does not include MEChA and the Brown Berets. The MEChA charter is sufficient to warrant its inclusion. So much for the fairness of the ADL list and assessment of anti-illegal strategy.

  4. If the rhetoric is in the mainstream, it can hardly be considered extremist. Foxman singles out a few terms in isolation without making any attempt to ascertain their validity. He also resorts to the use of the terms "racist" and "hateful" without justification.

WE are legitimate mainstream advocates against illegal immigration into America as all loyal Americans should be.

Whatever rhetoric is used, it is justified by the facts of the matter, 12 million illegal aliens and growing. There is nothing ostensible about the mainstream anti-illegal organizations. They differ from the pro-illegal organizations only in their points of view and loyalty to America.

Reasonable people can disagree about border control and the appropriate parameters for immigration reform, the debate has been tainted by the ADL and other pro-illegal groups that fail to recognize all of the legitimate reasons for opposing illegal aliens and excessive population growth. In their myopia, they have no regard for the future of America and believe we can and should take all who wish to come here legally or illegally. Under the guise of
anti-racism and anti-defamation, the pro-illegals are ready to sell our country out to foreigners and foreign interests.

The adverse impact of illegal aliens and excessive legal immigration is undeniable. That should be the starting point for a fair and balanced ADL analysis. The ADL sees a bogeyman in every corner because of horrors and excesses of the Nazis in WW II. It ADLs their brains so they cannot see any other point of view!

  5. This sounds a little like someone complaining that football teams adopted the West Coast offense -- because it was effective, or that political candidates have adopted the rhetoric and strategies of other politicos if they think they will work.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Because ADL reported something does not make what it reported a fact. The existence of its report is a fact but that's as far as it goes. The content of the report may be just opinion. Moreover, even if true, this does not justify the terms "racism" and "hate". If certain rhetoric works to further one's objective of trying to achieve a sane immigration policy that is analogous to the adoption of the West Coast offense by football teams because they want to win. It has nothing to do with hate or racism. But we know those terms are the stock in trade of the ADL.

  7. The key statement in this article is:
"While reasonable people can disagree about border control and the appropriate parameters for immigration reform, the debate has been tainted by the virulent anti-immigrant message employed by a handful of groups. The real victims in this are Hispanic-Americans and other immigrants who are being unfairly targeted, demeaned and stereotyped."

The problem is, you have groups like the Minutemen, particularly Schwilk´s SDMMs and groups like the alleypackers who are the most visible face for your side. Many of them are angry, violent terrorists and attack all Hispanics, including citizens.

I recognize they are not you Ulty. I think you and people like you can have a civil discussion with us on the Pro side and we can develop viable solutions. It is just that the extremists named by the ADL call everything amnesty and will not allow reasonable discussion by both sides to proceed. This is obvious to everyone.

  8. "...promote virulent anti-Hispanic and anti-immigrant rhetoric."

ADL loses when it chooses to use words like "virulent" and "anti-immigrant". The other side of those coins are "incisive" and "sensible". The ADL mistakenly labels incisive arguments and strategies to combat immigrations unarmed invasion and its deadly consequences as "virulent".

It mistakenly labels loyalty to one's country, treasuring our culture, language, unity, laws, flag, history and constitution as "anti-immigration".

The ADL has neglected to consider what has already happened in the U.S., the Little Kabuls, Little Havanas,Little Tel Avivs, etc. that fractionate our country and contribute to separatism. It places some sort of globalism and a global human right to immigrate ahead of what is best for America and what is in the national interest. That may be its primary interest but why should it be ours if it threatens our sovereignty?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Calling groups "Hate Groups" is the ADL's "schtik" ( (Yiddish) a contrived and often used bit of business that a performer uses to steal attention.)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well stated, Ultima. Why does dee and the ADL constantly choose to concentrate on a few rotten apples in the barrel rather than the loyal Americans who just want to protect the soevereignty of their nation and the rule of law? It just goes to show you how weak their arguments are that they have to constantly speak about the radicals on the other side of the issue to prove the validity of their arguments. Much of it is still lies anyway because the MM nor any of the other groups she or they mention condone violence or are anti-immigrant. The KKK does not mirror the sentiments of most Americans opposed to illegal immigration. More lies by the pro-illegal side. Also as you noted, why aren't any Hispanic radical groups mentioned? Only anglo and Black groups are mentioned.

You have and many others have proven that there are reconquista groups in this country of Mexican ancestry. She knows it herself, so why is she denying it yet again? It has never been a "secret", it is common knowledge.

How long will it be before dee posts this same tripe under another new topic heading even though we have dispelled all of these lies over and over again?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Pat,
You may disagree, and I defend your right to disagree, but you have never dispelled.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Dee, everything you have ever said in this entire blog has been dispelled mostly by Ultima. But I have dispelled many of your lies too.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Pat,
    No. You are incorrect.

First, this is an article from the ADL website as I have noted via the url in the original post, so you are not disagreeing with me, but with the ADL.

Second, you and Ultima are providing your opinions, as I have. We are all entitled to our opinions and as I said, I do defend your right to yours although I disagree with them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. It isn't just biased websites and sources that you are quoting, you are always interjecting these same erroneous remarks in your viewpoints. Having a viewpoint is one thing but making up lies to support that viewpoint is quite another.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Pat,
I am a trained researcher. I do not make anything up.

    I show my reference urls.

    No doubt about it!!

You, on the other hand, merely provide your opinion. (but I do defend your right to your Opinion)

    ReplyDelete
  16. There are groups that are biased and tell nothing but lies. These are the groups you support. No research is done by these groups they are merely expressing their opinions too and it is based on lies. Since you agree with their opinions then you are one of them.

Lie 1. None of the groups mentioned by ADL are hate groups. It is only their opinion.

Lie 2. Being opposed to illegal illegal immigration is not in most instances being xenophobic, anti-Hispanic, anti-immigrant, racist or being hateful.

Lie 3. The MM organization does not condone violence nor are they racists or a hate group. There are rotten apples in any group. They are not affiliated with the KKK or any other racist group.

Lie 4. The denial that reconquista groups do exist in this country. They do exist and you know and it is no secret.

lie 5. That Americans opposed to illegal immigration are targeting legal Hispanic citizens. This is about illegal immigration, not legal.

lie 6. The term "third world invaders" is coined towards illegal aliens, not legal immigrants. There are cities in America that do not resemble American cities anymore. They do resemble another country. That is what is meant by colonizing. That is undisputable.

lie 7. Immigrants whether they be legal or illegal that don't assimilate are changing our culture whether or not that is their intent. Another undisputable fact.

lie 8. That illegal aliens couldn't possibly be bringing in deseases into our country. It is obvious that because they come without health checks that there is a good probabiltiy that some do carry deseases. That is an undisputable fact.

These are the lies that you are also pushing and agreeing with. I know there are many more that you have spouted in here and everyone of them has been addressed in particular by Ultima. But you don't care about it because you have an ethnocentric agenda.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry Pat.

You are incorrect. In response to each of your points --

The ADL is an unbiased group which has utilized criteria to determine their findings.

    1. The ANTI groups listed are in fact hate groups.
    2. Understanding the History of Immigration in our great USA allows one to understand the basis for their findings.
    3. The MMs are among the most racist and hate mongering groups.
    4. There is no such thing as reconquista, only in the minds of the ANTIs.
    5. The ANTIs use terms like Mexifornia to attack American Hispanics and Racial Profile.
    6. Third World terms are Racist and drum up hate against ALL Hispanics, especially citizens.
    7. ANTIs were not made lord and master of OUR great USA and cannot set higher standards for Hispanics to prove their assimilation levels. Judge not lest ye be judged.
    8. Diseases? You have more diseases in your own shorts than most people who cross the border.

We are the land of the free, home of the brave and we welcome immigrants to our shores. What we need to do is come together to develop viable solutions to our immigration issues vs doing what the ANTIs do and create an atmosphere of hate and anger. The American public knows this and understands this more and more every day.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Just because the ADL used "their" criteria to determine whether or not a group is a hate group or not, doesn't make it so. It is just their opinion and are not basing it on real facts.

    1. No they are not!

    2. Understanding or knowing history has nothing to do with whether or not a group is a hate group today.

    3. No the MM are not a hate mongering or racist group. Where is YOUR proof of that?

    4. You have got to be kidding me! We even discussed the reconquista groups and named them for you and linked their sites for you to read and you admitted that there are some fringe reconquista groups out there. And now you are denying it?

    5. California is starting to resemble Mexico. I know I live here and that is where the term Mexifornia came from. Facts are not racist and neither is the term. Who is attacking Hispanic citizens or racial profiling other than by a description of a criminal given?

    6. Hispanic countries are not the only ones deemed to be third world in concept. Countries are classed by their economic and political makeup. There is no hatred towards Hispanic citizens unless they are enablers of illegal aliens.

    7. Who the hell said that anti's were Gods? We just expect our immigration laws to be respected and that immigrants assimilate into our society no matter what their ethnicity is. It has always been that way, nothing new here.

    8. Here you go with that reading comprehension thing again. I said that since illegals do not go throught a health check, there is a likelihood that some come here with deseases. How is that wrong? Especially since many of them come here from squalid and unsanitary conditions. I don't care how many deseases I may have in my shorts. If I did I would see a doctor. We don't need to import more deseases into our country by foreigners who don't even have a right to be here who may be cooking food in restaurants, etc.

You and yours will always be on the losing side. We may be the land of the free and brave but we still have immigration laws and for good reason. Rewarding illegals after breaking them does nothing but encourge more illegal immigration. When we have millions of illegal aliens here and many more crossing each day and our government not securing our borders there is a lot of reason for anger. Why doesn't it anger you? There will never be an amnesty (your solution to immgiration reform) and real Americans have spoken. Amnesty... dead. Dream Act...dead.

Dee, you totally disgust me and make me ashamed that you call yourself an American!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Pat, You should re read your post to see you are living in the land of Denial! The SDMM videos I have shown you are irrefutable evidence of their terroristic actions.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I heard Joe Scarborough make this comment today, "If Lou Dobbs is xenophobic and racist then 80% of american people are xenophobic and racist." My correction would be 80% of the ANTIs. This includes ALL people who use the term Mexifornia.

I guess you also fall in the 80%. That is the problem with this whole discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I have watched several videos with both the MM and SOS people at rallies. I saw no violence on their part. Maybe you should back up your lies with a link to a video of them behaving that way.

Sorry but it is 80% of ALL Americans opposed to illegal immigration and most are not xenophobic or racist and neither is Lou Dobbs. You never stop do you, dee?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Does this mean 80% of the Hispanics are disloyal? No, I don't think so but those who support the illegals may very well be disloyal -- owing their allegiance to La Raza or to foreigners rather than to their country.

The question in its most basic form is: How can one express his or her legitimate concerns about illegal aliens, unfettered population growth, creeping bi-lingualism, culture shock, flag desecration, lawlessness, increasing disease and poverty, 14th amendment babies, etc.without being labelled inappropriately as xenephobes, racists, bigots and nativists?

Even the ADL admits, "Reasonable people can disagree about border control and the appropriate parameters for immigration reform..." That is what the pro-legal forces are doing disagreeing with those who would sell our country out to foreigners and foreign interests. I have grave doubts that the American dream can be sustained if our country continues to be fractionated or balkanized into foreign enclaves with foreign cultures and foreign practices. (Germany is moving to outlaw the forced marriages typical of the Muslim communities there.)

I have no special knowledge about this problem and neither does the ADL. However, the ADL's credibility is in serious jeopardy because of its failure to include extremist groups on both sides of the argument. How can that be fair?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The truth speaks for itself Pat and Dobbs is, in fact, the worst!!

Here is the video showing the MMs terrorizing a legal migrant camp. It was videotaped by an MM.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTJLZD5tkbM

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ulty,
What this means is most ANTIs are in fact racist and xenophobes but they choose to be politically correct and hide their true motives.

Most PROs are true patriotic Americans who are seeking comprehensive immigration reform for our current broken policies.

Your very verbiage illustrates your true motivation. The labels do in fact stand because they are in fact the truth and the ADL agrees.

Reasonable people can in fact disagree on the solutions, but reasonable can discuss and search for viable solutions to the immigration issues.

What has been proven is the red faced anger and division does not work, as proven by the violent acts of the SDMMs.

The only ones with credibility issues are the MMs, Dobbs and the ANTIs in this 80% group.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It is my understanding, and this happened long ago, that there were a couple of possible MM members accused of vandalizing a migrant camp. I have never heard of a conviction. Also, as I keep telling you over and over but you can't get through your thick skull is that the acts of some bad apples does not make a whole organization rotten apples or that they condone such behavior. Same thing thing goes for your radical reconquista groups. That is not indicative of the whole Hispanic population. If I went by your logic though, the entire Hispanic population are reconquistas. You keep complaining that because some ilegals do commit bad crimes that the anti group are accusing all illegals of committing bad crimes too. You don't like it when it is reversed on you do you, dee? Can you understand what I am saying? SOME BAD APPLES DOESN'T NECESSARILY REPRESENT AN ENTIRE GROUP. Repeat it a few times, you might finally get it one day.

Where is your proof that most anti's are xenophobes, racists? It is just your biased opinion it is not fact. Just because we don't like your solutions to immigration reform does not make us those labels you put on us.

  26. I am Hispanic. I am an American. I am a Minuteman. These terms are not contradictory.
    By Al Garza
National Executive Director of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps

During my youth, I served this country proudly in the Marine Corps in Vietnam, along with some great Americans. I now have that opportunity once again to serve my country with other great Americans, through my role with the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. We are a volunteer organization filled with patriots who stand watch on our nation’s borders in support of the brave men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol.

We are motivated by the rule of law and the need to secure the borders of the United States for the sake of our children and our grandchildren. Like our Founding Fathers, we are willing to sacrifice our lives and fortunes “in order to form a more perfect union,” even when we are discouraged by the actions of our elected leaders in Washington, who often forget that they “deriv[e] their just powers from the consent of the Governed…”

Minuteman Civil Defense Corps volunteers do not engage in hate speech, bigotry, violence, vigilantism or launch unjust personal attacks against law-abiding citizens. In fact, we are commissioned to witness to the injustice of the “we hate America crowd” led by the National Council of LaRaza who have exposed their true motives when they threaten Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser for refusing to fire Frances Semler from her appointed post on the Park Board without cause; an action that would result in most private employers receiving an expensive lesson in employment law.

I urge the citizens of Kansas City to question the actions of the National Council of LaRaza, a group which claims to stand for civil rights, but extorts your Mayor with threats of defamation and boycott if their demands are not met—demands that a grandmotherly civic leader be terminated for her affiliation with a patriotic organization. I find their actions demeaning to all Hispanic Americans, and undermining of our civil liberty and patriotism.

After all, can any organization that encourages people to violate our laws truly claim to love America? Can you truly love America if one of your stated goals is to violently reclaim U.S. soil in the name of Mexico through a movement known as Reconquista?

Unlike LaRaza’s selfish agenda, our Minuteman mission is peaceful and responsible for saving the lives of hundreds who entered our country illegally and were left to die in the desert, be forced into prostitution or otherwise exploited for their cheap labor. Securing the borders is pro-immigrant. Minutemen volunteers are showing our federal government and fellow citizens the national security effectiveness for the protection of all that will result from the construction of a double-layered physical fence, and a simple increase in the number of Border Patrol agents and National Guard troops stationed on our borders.

As citizens, we have a moral obligation to provide immigrants a safe passage—by our rules—while also protecting the citizens of the United States from invasion, disease and criminal behavior. The immigration problems we face can be resolved when employers, elected officials, the judicial system and law enforcement agencies at the local, state and national levels work together to enforce all immigration laws.

Minuteman activities are inclusive, conducted by men and women, naturalized as well as native-born citizens, college students and members of the Granny Brigade who fill a void on a mission that continues to receive strong support from millions of Americans. Our volunteers will travel from all over America to the U.S.-Mexico and U.S.-Canadian borders next month for our national muster. They will observe and report illegal activity to the proper authorities. Furthermore, they will call, write and fax their Members of Congress to voice their opposition to the on-going lobbying campaigns advancing amnesty legislation.

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps conducts our activities for the “general welfare” of all legal citizens of the United States and the protection of all innocent human life. Can LaRaza really claim they do the same thing?

Did you contact the KC Star and ask them if this letter was ever sent to them?

Whether it did or did not is not the issue anyway. Mr. Garza is an Executive with the MM organization. These are his views. Do you really think he would allow the forum to put up a letter that he never wrote or weren't his views? You're unbelievable!
