McCain – The only Republican with a Chance of Obtaining the Hispanic Vote


Some of you may say, “Why should any candidate go after the Hispanic Vote?” Answer: They want to win.

But why Hispanic Votes? You continue to ask. Last election, they pandered for the Evangelical Vote. Why? They wanted to win. Some say the Evangelicals handed GW the Presidency.

By election time 2008, we will have 50M Hispanic American citizens in the US. The Candidates all know the Hispanic Vote is the Sleeping Giant and in 2008, the Sleeping Giant will Awaken and vote in our next U.S. President.

Most people believe Republicans don´t stand a chance obtaining the Hispanic Vote. Last week, I published a quote from Chris Matthew´s Hardball admitting the RNC has given up on the Hispanic Vote.

Why are the Republicans losing the Hispanic Vote? The demographic tells us Hispanics demand one word. What is that word? Aretha Franklin knew it. Apparently most Republicans do not. The word is “Respect.”

Here are some terms Republicans use which show Disrespect to ALL Hispanic Citizens:
1. Labeling their neighborhoods as Third World Countries. (e.g. Tancredo – Miami)
2. Labeling East L.A. and all of California - Mexifornia or Texas as Mexas.
3. Labeling Citizen Hispanic Children “Anchor Babies.”
4. Labeling any type of Comprehensive Immigration Reform – “Amnesty.
5. Voting down any form of Comprehensive Immigration Reform
6. Catering to those who use Derogatory Terms against Hispanic Citizens and who glom them in with illegal immigrants. These groups include: ANTI Groups, Minutemen, Tom Tancredo, R. Paul, other Hate Groups (including KKK, Stormfront, Nazis, etc.)
7. Not Listening to Hispanic Voters! Not attending events like the Univision Presidential debates.
8. Not willing to Compromise!

Of all the Presidential Candidates, most Hispanic Voters are lining up behind Hillary. A USA Today/Gallup poll found that Hispanics identify with Democrats by a margin of nearly 3 to 1. One reason is that the Democratic front-runner – Hillary Clinton – who Respects Hispanics and the Hispanic vote, is aggressively going after the Hispanic vote by racking up the endorsements of seemingly every Latino officeholder from East Los Angeles to the South Bronx.

Of all the Republican Candidates, most Hispanic Voters favor John McCain. Why? He is forthright. He is a War Hero (Most US Hispanics are Pro Military and enlist in the Military at a higher rate than other groups.)

McCain relates to Hispanics needs.

Here is an example: McCain has a history of appealing to Hispanics in Arizona and earned more than 70 percent of the Hispanic vote in his 2004 U.S. Senate re-election bid. For the most part, he stood his ground on immigration reform and took on the dishonest arguments of those who opposed it, such as the insistence that Americans would happily do the hardest and dirtiest jobs if the wages were right. McCain dared a roomful of angry union members in the Midwest to spend the summer picking lettuce in Yuma, Ariz., for $50 an hour, much more than the minimum wage most pickers earn. There were only a few takers, who apparently know little about picking lettuce and even less about Arizona summers.

John McCain understands the issues and he RESPECTS Hispanic Citizens and seeks out Hispanic Voter support.

If anyone from the RNC hopes to obtain the US Hispanic vote, they will have to understand the meaning of the word “Respect.”

    2. Why are we dividing ourselves up into ethnicities in regards to voting blocs? Don't we all put on our pants the same way? Ethnic politics is a divider in this country.

    3. What does illegal immigration have to do with legal Hispanic citizens and why do you feel in order to gain the Hispanic vote one has to reward immigration law breakers? Hispanics aren't for the rule of law then?

    4. So for the Republicans to gain the Hispanic vote they should instead align themselves with hate/racist groups such as Brown Pride, Mexica Movement, Azlantizas, Mecha, Lulac, NCLR, etc.?

    5. This is a question, if Hispanic citizens don't want to be lumped in with illegal aliens then why do they support and sympathize with them? Shouldn't they distance themselves from them instead? People are easily judged by the company they keep.

  8. Who the hell called Bernanke an illegal alien? The anchor baby term has been explained to you over and over too. Illegal alien parents have anchored themselves unto our country by vitue of the birth to their child here. That doesn't mean that these kids aren't U.S. citizens at least under the current interpretation of the 14th Amendment.

    I don't call anyone an illegal alien if they are here with papers. What are you talking about? But you don't come here illegally first and then seek the proper documents. That's doing it assbackwards and is against the law. However long it takes to do it the right way then that is the way it has to be done. We make the rules and for good reason.

  10. Rule 1: Life is not fair. Get used to it.
    Rule 2: America expects Hispanic citizens to show a little more loyalty to the national interest BEFORE they can expect respect. Ask not what America can do for you, ask what you can do for America.
    Rule 3: America doesn’t care about your self-esteem. Americans tell it like it is. The term “Anchor Baby” is no more disrespectful than “a ship’s anchor”. The have essentially the same neutral meaning. If Little Havana in Miami, Little Kabul in Fremont, CA and other such places do not resemble the countries of origin, citizen or not, prove it.
    Rule 4: If the future of East L.A., all of California and Texas doesn’t deserve the terms- Mexifornia or Mexas. You have to explain more logically why this is so. Moreover, you have to show why these terms are derogatory.
    Rule 5: Regardless of birthright citizenship, a person doesn’t become a real citizen until they earn it through loyalty to the national interest rather than illegal aliens and foreign interests.
    Rule 6: If any form of penalty is required, even if it is just a slap on the wrist, the mass legalization of illegal aliens may not be amnesty as defined in a law dictionary. However, this technicality aside, the common understanding of amnesty is anything which grants illegals the object of their illegality, the opportunity to remain in this country and work instead of returning to compliance with the law through self-deportation. This should be considered a second and equally valid definition of amnesty.
    Rule 7: If you think the pro-legals are tough on illegal aliens and their fellow travelers, take a trip to another country like Mexico, China, Russia, or Cuba and do a research paper on how they treat illegal aliens.
    Rule 8: If Hispanics think voting down the misguided forms of Comprehensive Immigration Reform presented so far, then we know where their loyalties lie. There is nothing magical about the word “comprehensive”; a systematic, stepwise approach that makes sure we have stopped the hemorrhaging at the border first should make more sense to any loyal American. Hispanics can begin to show that loyalty by supporting HR4088.
    Rule 9: Criticizing Hispanic Citizens and who support illegal immigrants is a part of good citizenship and loyalty to the U.S.. Too bad some Hispanic citizens don’t understand that and join in.
    Rule 10: A good politician should listen to all voters, not just the ethnic voters, and they should do what is best for all not what they think will cater to special interest voters or get them votes.
    Rule 11: Be nice to Republicans. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
    Rule 12: If you made the mistake of supporting illegals in the past, it's not the pro-legals” fault. Don't whine about your mistakes -- learn from them.
    Rule 13: Before the illegals thought of going Norte, America was founded, settled and developed by others. Keep that in mind when thinking about immigration reform. Before you think about the sins of Republicans who do not wish to cater to those who support foreign interests, try getting your own house in order.
    Rule 14: Before you think about compromise, think about the national interest rather than the interests of illegal aliens and their supporters

  12. Why doesn't Inivision have to have its own debates? Why not piggyback on the national debates and participate by asking to be a moderator and by submitting questions for the candidates.

    Here some questions they could ask:
    1. Will you legalize all of the illegal aliens in this country? If not, why not?
    2. Do you believe a new nation called Aztlan should be extablished in the Southwest?
    3. Should the federal government overturn all state laws that restrict welfare and education benefits for illegal aliens?
    4. How many HIspanics will you appoint to your cabinet?
    5. Will you appoint an HIspanic as head of the INS?
    6. Do you believe in the rule of law, especially immigration laws already on the books?
    7. What does national sovereignty mean to you?
    8. Do you support Official English?
    9. Do you support limiting birthright citizenship to children one of whose parents is a citizen?
    10. Do you believe Mexifornia is becoming the future? How about Mexas, Mexizona and Mexichusetts?
    11. Is Anchor baby a pejorative term or does it reflect reality?
    12. Are there any areas in our cities that resemble third world countries?
    13. Should population be allowed to grow without bounds?
    14. What effect does population growth have pollution, climate change, depletion of natural resources, extinction of species,and traffic congestion?
    15. Do you think every ethnic group in America should have its own forum for presidential debates?

  21. Well we certainly wouldn't use your scoring mechanism! I guess you do not have the words traitor and disloyal in your vocabulary. Anyone who is a citizen can do or say anything and they are still good loyal citizens. That's nutz! Technically, they are citizens under the law but that's as far as it goes. There are some good citizenship requirements that go well beyond the mere technicality of the law. I at least have much higher expectations.

    OMG I cant believe this!!
    So anyway just an update on my sister and brother in law..They were in Pheonix last night with the true coyote..We did speak to his brother and his brother told us to send another $2,000 to his mom and she would give it to the head man in Veracruz..so my husband dumb as can be borrowed money from everyone and with the uncles money we got $1500 together..Then we sent it to his mom...So the money is Safe because its going to Veracruz to his mother..

    So anyway this morning at 4 in the morning brother calls saying a bunch of guys with guns came and raided all the houses and took them to another location. my husband calls them "tumbladores" or something like that..so now these guys call and say that they stole brother and sister from the coyotes and they want $2,000 and they are going to let them lose in Pheonix..So Brother calls his wifes family and they send $2,000 to Pheonix.. So now I guess they let them lose in Pheonix and will have to find the way here...I have a feeling that the immigration will get them before they make it to Tennessee..

    How bad is immigration in Pheonix? Are they at the airports? Is it safe for them to get on a plane or bus? Or is it safer driving? Now I want them to get here because they owe EVERYONE money and they have to make it here so they can pay it back..

    I never knew it could be so complicated to get here!!! There are the people that frauded us, the real coyotes, and then theres even people that steal the people from the real coyotes and make money ..I mean everyones getting a piece of the pie..I really never knew this would happen..

    WOW - What a nightmare for your family!

    I don't think they can risk flying out of Phoenix. I would assume the airport has migra, just like they do in a number of the Texas airports if you are flying out. Besides, do they have IDs that will allow them to fly domestically in the U.S.?

    A bus would be safer I guess....

    brothers license already expired..But the true coyotes were going to put them on a plane because they have connections inside the airport..This is the same coyote my hubby used a long time ago and he came in on a plane from pheonix without id because I guess they really do have "connections" inside the airport..

    But I bet the immigration pulls over buses and do checks etc..I dont know how they are going to come here..

    My brother-in-law came on a plane from Houston or El Paso to Chicago a few years back. They somehow got him a Texas state id or driver's license, not sure which. I recently realized he still uses it in Wisconsin to get into bars and whatnot.

    I don't actually know if it's a "real" id - meaning someone working for the coyotes has connections in a DMV office and has these things made, or whether it's a fake, like the kind 20-year old college kids get to get into bars and stuff... It's kind of fascinating (and extremely corrupt of course) the whole coyote business.

We really shouldn't be giving out advice on the board about how to help people who have crossed the border, etc. Just remember that this board is a public forum and is read by various government officials. Call me paranoid, but given the current anti-immigration climate in this country it makes me nervous to see people post anything that could come back to haunt them.

These cases seem to be women that are American citizens that are having 'Illegal Immigrant' men as boyfriends and husbands and then sneaking in the rest of the males family from south of th border, and Dee wonders why we have third world enclaves. So you see Dee, citizen women, are helping to bring in the 'illegal immigrant' and his entire family. So, therefor, not all of it is Big Business inviting these thieving parasites here, but ignorant citizens doing it for what they think is love.

    It's interesting that you take exception to this statement. A birthright baby, regardless of ethnicity, has no concept of citizenship and may never achieve an understanding of it. Citizenship is probably not even PC these days.

    Are you suggesting that a person is demonstrating good citizenship and loyalty to his or her country if he or she chooses to favor foreigners and foreign interests over the national interest? Tell me it isn't so. It certainly isn't true in time of war. In that case it is called treason. You just haven't accepted the fact that we are at war, the war on terror and the war against immigration's unarmed invasion and its deadly consequences.

A little more loyalty to America would go a long way toward garnering the respect they think they deserve. It is a strange world in which this is not obvious to everyone.

    You've really gone off the deep end now, Dee. Even though there is ample evidence of your disloyalty to America, every mainstream pro-legal would stand with you to protest the detention of anyone who can prove his citizenship. With enough warning to enable to get together the necessary documents, I would be happy to prove my citizenship whenever called upon to do so. Your problem is you are lumping the illegals with Hispanic citizens again. Haven't you heard about false arrest? It is a way for any citizen who is falsely arrested to sue for damages. That's the right approach once it is established what is needed to prove citizenship. You are suffering from a bad case of paranoia again; better take your meds or if they aren't working see your psychiatrist for something stronger and make sure you take whatever is prescribed. We can't have people suffering from anxiety and paranoia running around the streets untreated. Settle down and try to be more objective and realistic.

    Being judgmental again are we? I don't think illegal aliens should be allowed to register or apply for citizenship and neither does Senator Dole. Look what happens when we let someone like Lupita into the country. Suddenly they are applying for citizenship or permanent residency status. Never should be allowed.

    Anchor babies is a good description for the purpose many of them serve. You really can't deny that. That's the way the system currently works. Can't you accept any term that describes reality?

    There is nothing wrong with telling it like it is. The emperor has no clothes.

    The Shuler bill is the only rational approach to border security and internal enforcement. I know that doesn't mean anything to you now that you have abandoned any reasonable semblance of a border security position but there it is.

    Your paranoia make it impossible for you to make an objective judgment of this bill. Anything less than CIR and mass legalization is anathema to you.     You claim I support a mass deportation act. That , of course, is a gross exaggeration of the Shuler bill, not unexpected given your paranoia. How distorted you made his photo that makes me think that you have a hidden agenda. Maybe a hidden Democratic agenda. So who has swayed your opinion and was it worth selling out your own people for? I work for Senator McCain and we both know who is telling the truth here don't we? Of course the borders have to be secured and even your own people here in the United States want the borders secured. The only ones who do not want the borders secured are the ones that have something to hide and do not want to take the legal route to gain access. So you can't have it both ways you must pick one.

    Actually, my whole post says McCain is the only Republican with a chance of obtaining the most Hispanic votes.
    I ask all viewers to use the Presidential Quiz at the top right side of my Blog page to determine their candidate of choice.
    You keep saying your own people? Who are you talking about? Hispanic Americans? If so yes, I am Hispanic and I am American. I speak my view. I don´t speak for everyone´s view. I do believe in Freedom of Choice. We all need to study the issues and decide for ourselves our candidate of choice.
    Of all the RNC candidates, I do like McCain best. I do believe he is an honest man, an intelligent man and a compassionate man. However, I do not support his stance on the war, therefore I may not vote for him. However, I am not 100% sure yet who I will vote for although I do lean left, primarily due to Iraq.
    One of the issues you and all candidate supporters need to understand is, Hispanic Americans are not idiots. We are not one person. We are every person. We are Americans first. Culturally, we are Hispanic/Latino. Don´t say “sell out your people.” That is ridiculous. We all have choices and you nor one candidate will fulfill all our needs or get all of our votes. If you want to get people´s dander up, you will by using this type of bullying technique. If John wants to win our vote, have him talk to us and ask us what we want, don´t have him try to get guys like you to strong-arm our votes. Sheesh!
