Young Republicans Silenced by McCain - Why Isn´t Fox (or media) Reporting This?

Young Republicans are saying McCain and his staff CENSORED them at the RNC Convention and made them take their "Build the Fence" sign down! The ANTI Immigration Reform Websites (alipac.us, firesociety, stein, malkin, etc.) are in an uproar that McCain made the YAFers take their sign down! They are even extending their anger to McCain´s running mate, Palin. (see video in Right Panel of this page) Why isn´t FOX or any of the MSM reporting about this?
The McCain strategy has changed. Rather than promoting the "Experience" strategy, their strategy is "Change the Subject"!
McCain DOES NOT want to talk about:
1. The War
2. The Economy
3. Immigration, the Wall, Immigration Reform
4. Bush, his years (and mistakes) in Office - (4 more of the last 8 years)
5. Women´s Issues, Education

Instead, all you hear Fox talking about is, (watching now)"Obama is rattled" "She is the focus of this campaign""Pigs and Lipstick""Obama is going negative"
The video (above right) clearly exemplifies their "CHANGE THE SUBJECT" strategy. They do not want to discuss the Immigration issues or policies. They do want to pander to both sides of the Immigration debate.
I suggest we promote a new strategy for McCain, FOX and the MSM. TALK ABOUT THE ISSUES!!!! Show this Video in the MSM. Talk about it! And let´s HEAR what YOU are going to do about it! Regardless of WHO you offend.
Here is what the ANTI sites are saying:
Young Republicans told to take down “Build The Fence” signs at Republican Convention
September 7th, 2008
Apparently John McCain doesn’t like to lie in his own poorly made bed. At the Republican Convention, a group of young Republicans created their own sign that said “Build The Fence” and soon after, McCain’s security detail ordered them to take it down. Funny how McCain didn’t have a problem with the “Viva McCain” signs or other signs written in Spanish. I think it’s clear what side of the FENCE McCain is on - and it isn’t on the AMERICAN side. I’ve been hearing lots of buzz about Sarah Palin - isn’t it great she is with McCain - now we should vote for McCain - blah blah blah. Well I will NOT soon forget.

  1. What makes me mad about this issue is the sneakiness of it.

The RNC secretly called down to security who went over and whispered in the ears of the YAFers and asked them to take down the sign.

It´s as if McCain was saying to both the YAFers and the Latinos, "Shhhh. We dont want to talk about this right now. We are on your side. We will take care of you AFTER we get elected into office."

  2. In the meantime, they are LYING to BOTH SIDES!!!

McCain does NOT want immigration reform. He wants to continue status quo. That way both ANTI and PRO lose and only Business and the Administration win!

  3. Get real, dee. This is about pandering for the Hispanic vote. Obama would probably do the same thing if a Democrat held up a similar sign. These politicians try to play to the entire voting audience to gain votes and yes they lie to everyone to win the election. Pity that in order for any politician to gain the Hispanic vote they have pretend to want an open, unsecured and porous border with Mexico. Says a lot about the Hispanic citizens in this country, doesn't it?

Who knows what either McCain or Obama will try to do in regards to illegal immigration and the employers who hire them after they are in office. Ultimately it is congress who makes those decisions anyway. Too many dummies out there think the president has more power than he actually does.

  4. Pat,
You are falling in to McCains plan.

He is whispering in the ANTI ear, "Don´t worry. Get me elected. I am on your side."

And he is whispering in the PRO ear, "Don´t worry. Get me elected. I am on your side."

The facts are, he is NOT on the ANTI side or the PRO side. He prefers the Business side. He will continue with status quo, allow business to reap the gains, and he plays us ALL for fools!

  5. Geez dee, what you said is exactly what I said. I said as you did that McCain like most politicians is making empty promises to both sides of the issue. You did read what I said, didn't you?

It isn't exactly the status quo anymore though now that the raids are occuring. Employers are being fined and jailed and the illegals are being rounded up and deported. That isn't status quo.

  6. Dee, your ability to reason clearly is destroyed because you see everything through a political party lens. Stop being so bigoted against Republicans and worshipful of Democrats.

If you would look at the record, you'd see that our *current* president is *for* comprehensive immigration reform but the Democrats, who control both houses of Congress, won't vote for it.

  7. I think that McCain would like to give all the undocumented workers in the usa citizenship.

I think that Obama would also like to give all the undocumented workers citizenship.

I would strongly advise all antis to vote for Obama. If Obama is president and he proposes an amnesty, the entire republican party will rally against it and it will be defeated

if McCain is president and proposes an amnesty, at least some republicans will be with him on it and it will pass.

If your only goal - your ONLY goal politically is to prevent an amnesty you should vote for Obama.

if you choose to vote for McCain because you like his tax policy or religious values, you are choosing to give in to amnesty. if preventing amnesty is all you care about, hold your nose and vote for Obama.

by the way, the above message is not endorsed by the obama campaign or the mccain campaign. neither will tell you the truth. only place to get the truth is Dee's blog (thank you Dee for providing a forum)

  8. What I object to about McCain is he is purposely being duplicitous.

Like both Pat and I (who agree for once) and Anon are saying is McCain is making empty promises to both sides, ANTI and PRO. The problem is, he is lying to the YAFers and saying "Shhhh. Put down your signs. I dont want to talk about this now, but I am on your side." While at the same time he is saying to Latinos, "Vote for me and I will give your side Immigration Reform just like you want."

The truth is, he is lying to both sides.

  9. Nelson,
Try to take off your McCain blinders please. (please dont take this comment negatively because I do like you.)

This is not a Republican or Democrat issue. The fact is, McCain and Obama both want status quo. They both favor big business and the global economy.

  10. Actually I disagree with the other commenters. I believe both McCain and Obama will try to enact CIR in spite of any promises they might make regarding secure borders. Some inefffectual work will be done along the border but with the full knowledge that it will never stop the hemorraging without strict internal enforcement without amnesty. That they will never do. So to that extent I agree that there two-faced and perfidious behavior is the greatest travesty of this campaign. With the prospect that the democrat majority in both houses will be consolidated and therefore increase the chances for the kind of CIR that has previously been rejected.

  11. ultima it sounds like you agree with me - vote for obama since when obama pushes for amnesty there is a chance of republicans defeating it

    ReplyDelete
  12. Let me try again.

I think that mccain will aggressively push for an amnesty as soon as he is elected

    i think obama will too

i am voting for obama since i think obama will fail to get an amnesty done but mccain will win at getting an amnesty

i want to hear from the mccain voters on this board - if you plan to vote for mccain why ???

I like McCain because he's against welfare for the rich (aka farm subsidies), he's pro-trade and he's pro-immigration. I don't get the feeling he'd "go along" with congress and its special interests as much as Bush did or Obama will.

Obama seems like he wants to redistribute wealth and give the federal government even more control over our lives. I don't really dislike him though. He has a better temperament than McCain and deserves credit for bringing education into the debate.

  14. I won't vote for either McCain or Obama. I will stay home this year and watch the results of the election and say a prayer for our country. We are screwed either way.

  15. Patriot, even if there is no amnesty, the population of the US will grow by 100 million due to the fertility of the LEGAL immigrants that are already here.

I am not trying to be rude here but the people that resemble you, patriot, will sort of be a small minority of the US population in the future

    not much can be done

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't believe that is true, anon. If not for illegal immigration from mostly south of the border and the anchors that they bore, we would still have a white majority country for many decades or more to come. But do dream on as I am sure you are relishing the thought of a "brown" country.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The idea of the US being a "brown" country scares me a little. Of course, I base this off the other "brown" countries.

    1. Mexico = sucks
    2. Honduras = sucks
    3. Guatemala = sucks
    4. Nicaragua = sucks
    5. Panama = kinda sucks
    ETC. ETC.

  18. It isn't so much about race as it is about losing our identifying culture and language and turning into another Latin American country. Why would any country want to lose their traditional identity and society, especially through illegal immigration?

  19. AZ,
Your comments are not making sense. You live in arizona. It IS a majority minority state. Whites are already outnumbered.

The latinos you see on TV are merely assilated. As I have been saying, it takes a generation to assimilate and all those on TV with hispanic surnames are 2nd generation. Thats all.

So what are you so afraid of??

    The Arizonian said...
All this talk of the racial majority becoming the racial minority makes me sick.

    The way I see things:
    Majority: US citizens.
    Minority: Non-citizens

The end. Pseudo racial groups are not to be considered.

Besides, for the sake of argument, the main growth in the "Hispanic" population throughout the entire US belongs to the "White Hispanic", as the Census bureau describes it.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Arizonian,
Now you are getting silly. Obama is PRO CIR. McCain is PRO CIR. The difference between the two is Obama is very outfront with his stance. McCain is not. He is even asking the YAFers to hide their signs until the election is over so he can play both sides against the middle.

    The Arizonian said...
The fact is, McCain and Obama both want status quo. They both favor big business and the global economy.

Please make a record of this......

  21. Arizonian,
As I recall, you joined my site because of your concern for McCain.

If you have any influence in his camp, I am extending an invitation for him to blog on my blog. Ask him. Then let the viewers and commenters decide whether they support him or not.

Maybe he can answer the question of why these YAFers were silenced.

  22. Ever see the movie idiocracy?
if not i highly suggest seeing it.

Basically, Canada goes out of their way to accept immigrants whose grandchildren will have high IQ professional jobs

The US goes out of its way to accept immigrants whose grandchildren will have lower iq type jobs.

In the future, Canada will evolve in to a successful country and the US will evolve in to (insert name of violent stupid failed state of your choice here)

the movie shows how it all plays out - i encourage all pros and all antis to watch it

this is the future of our nation here

    ReplyDelete
  23. Can you imagine the cries of "discrimination" if anyone suggested that we only allow in skilled and educated people who can help us remain competitive in a global economy? The ACLU would be out in full force.

We need to switch from an immigration system which favors "family reunification" to a point system which emphasizes skills and education. But watch who opposes this the most.

I didnt say that. Anonymous said that.

  26. Dee, it is available on netflix.

it will open your eyes - it sounds a clear warning as to what is happening to the usa.

After you see the movie you may still be very very pro immigration, but you may be in favor of immigration of the smart
