AS I PREDICTED: The Cowardly Lion Limbaugh Cowers to the Media Payback over his "Magic Negro" Lies!

Oh Woe is Rush, Woe is Rush!
He is crying, lamenting, woeing himself! "The drive by media is picking on me! Picking on me!"
Poor Limpbutt!!
I ALMOST feel sorry for him!
As the creator said, "You reap what you sow times 10!"
As for Limpy, I think he is getting it 10 times 10! Yet, he still has not learned his lesson!
Here is what he is saying! waaahhh!!
(I am sharing it so you don't have to go to his website!)
From RushLimbaugh.com:
COLETTA: Rush Limbaugh's latest dust up. The conservative talk king has been playing a song called, "Barack the Magic Negro" and now some critics say he should be fired just like Imus. Limbaugh's staff says he's been using the song parody for months and that the title is a direct quote from the Reverend Al Sharpton and that the uproar is unwarranted.
RUSH: It's not "a direct quote" from the Reverend Sharpton! We have been playing it for months, maybe weeks. It might be a month or a month and a half. Look, folks, here it is from March 19th -- I'm holding it in my formerly nicotine-stained fingers -- "Obama the 'Magic Negro' -- The Illinois senator lends himself to white America's idealized, less-than-real black man." This is the third piece in the LA Times that dealt with Obama not being "black enough." It's the left that's the racists. It's the left that looks at people's skin color and doesn't see it for what it should be or what it is. They notice it. They're the ones that are racists out there. The guy that wrote this is a black man. His name is David Ehrenstein. He "writes about Hollywood and politics," it says here, and the whole point of his piece here is: Who is this Obama guy? He's been around for two years in the Senate. Nobody can possibly know him well enough to be giving him all this idolatry. So he's the "magic negro." He fits white racists' need to assuage their guilt.
Poor Limpy! I almost feel sorry for him. Even his OWN STAFF is mis-informed!!
He forgets that the reference column was written by Ehrenstein in March, 2007, when Obama initially began his Presidential Campaign, long before his brilliant performance in the Presidential debates or his numerous interviews and close up discussions with the American people. The March 2007 article had NOTHING to do with Racism, rather the public's not knowing Obama well enough. (the debates cleared this up)
What Ehrenstein was talking about was the American Public not knowing Barack well.
Ehrenstein was questioning our knowledge of the man.
Limpy changed this question into something else when he had his Soundman make his CD. He made it ugly. He made it evil, ALL FOR PROFIT, right on his website, sold for $$! He introduced RACISM into the picture, and laughs, and ridicule, not only towards the candidate but towards the audience. US. The American People!
Limpy should be ASHAMED of himself!
Here is what he did:
1. He took Ehrenstein's March, 2007 article and twisted it to suit his monologue.
2. In 2008, he had his Soundman make a CD inserting an Al Jolsen "blackface" type racist voice mimicking Al Sharpton, upset with candidate Obama.
3. Limpy attempts to REWRITE HISTORY by suggesting Ehrenstein's article was from 2008 vs March, 2007.
4. His limp attempt at chastising the left for Racism, is actually Racism on his part for putting the racist "sharpton" immitating CD together!
5. The only Racist is Limpy! We know and understand Obama is a knowledgable and well informed, qualified elected candidate. Limpy on the other hand continues to raise these unsubstantiated accusations! He should be ashamed of himself.
I suggest Limpy read my FABLE! Then, perhaps HE will undstand what actually occurred!!

  1. Your going back all the way to April 2007 with the rush quotes from his sight?? Couldn't you have gotten something a little newer, like in the last few days?? Why the blaming of Limbaugh for what some supposed RNC candidate Chip Saltsman did?? This parody has been out for almost 2 years now, get over it already.

  2. The link to the David Ehrenstein piece.

    Obama the 'Magic Negro'
The Illinois senator lends himself to white America's idealized, less-than-real black man.

But it's clear that Obama also is running for an equally important unelected office, in the province of the popular imagination — the "Magic Negro."
    ....
He's there to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest.

As might be expected, this figure is chiefly cinematic — embodied by such noted performers as Sidney Poitier, Morgan Freeman, Scatman Crothers, Michael Clarke Duncan, Will Smith and, most recently, Don Cheadle. And that's not to mention a certain basketball player whose very nickname is "Magic."

Poitier really poured on the "magic" in "Lilies of the Field" (for which he won a best actor Oscar) and "To Sir, With Love" (which, along with "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," made him a No. 1 box-office attraction). In these films, Poitier triumphs through yeoman service to his white benefactors. "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" is particularly striking in this regard, as it posits miscegenation without evoking sex. (Talk about magic!)

Pretty much what you say Limbaugh has said and you have denied and called a lie. Is there no end to your ridiculousness??

  4. Silly Liquid.
Ehrenstein wrote his op ed in March 2007. He did not know Obama and was asking a question.
Limpy spun it and had his soundmake make a racist CD.
Salty sent this CD out a coupla weeks ago to the RNC suggesting these were the types of strategies going forward by saying "“I look forward to working together in the New Year."
    Read my Fable.
Maybe then you will get it.

  5. What is amazing to me is that you refuse to get it.

The good ole boys like Limpy and many of those in the RNC promote these racist tactics. Limpy guffawing and laughing, twisting the intent of the op ed.

The op ed was questioning the impact of someone they did not know in march 2007.

Then Limpy twisted it and spun it, suggesting "You only voted for him because he is a magic negro made up by a white man in a clear "step and fetch" it style. This fake negro is not a real negro so you feel safe voting for him. Negros are not really articulate and do not have families so the man in power made up this fake one. And you racist white liberals are the real racists because you are appeasing your guilt voting for this fake guy." This is what Limpy is saying! So on the CD he has a fake Al Sharpton magnifying mammy type style singing these racist rhymes. The CD is OFFENSIVE!! OFFENSIVE to All Minorities and Most Americans in general!

Then Salty MAILS it to the leaders in the RNC which suggests they continue these type of tactics in the future saying "I look forward to working together in the New Year."

How stupid can Salty be? They lost 97% of the African American vote. Was he shooting to lose the other 3%?

  6. So going back to the op ed. You skipped the 1st paragraph of course. Ehrenstein said Obama was running for President. In the op ed he said Obama is new and implied many did not know much about him. He also suggested Obama was also running for "Magic Negro." He never said he was one.

Then he goes into a detailed explanation of what a magic negro was by copying the definition from wiki (as you did in the 3 paragraphs).

The Rush had his soundman create a CD mammifying Al Sharptons voice singing these spun around RACIST lyrics! That is SOOO Limpy!!

Then for Salty to send out the racist CD to the LEADERS of the RNC, Ridiculous!!

    ReplyDelete
  7. The Republicans have never had the majority of the Black vote ever. Blacks and other minorities typically vote Democrat. Since there was a Black man on the ticket this election that just helped solidify the Black vote. This isn't rocket science here.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Please show the question you allude to that Ehrenstein says in his first paragraph:

"AS EVERY CARBON-BASED life form on this planet surely knows, Barack Obama, the junior Democratic senator from Illinois, is running for president. Since making his announcement, there has been no end of commentary about him in all quarters — musing over his charisma and the prospect he offers of being the first African American to be elected to the White House."

The only person "NOT GETTING IT" is you. Limbaugh used Ehrenstein's own words and spun nothing. Your fable is nothing more than the Stepford Wives movie, but then we all know you get your knowledge from fables and apply it as factual evidence.

"They lost 97% of the African American vote."

You think the song had anything to do with that?? It was nothing more then ethnocentric racism.

"Then he goes into a detailed explanation of what a magic negro was by copying the definition from wiki (as you did in the 3 paragraphs)."

I linked to the actual op/ed piece and all my info came from it. The wiki article is used in Ehrensein's explanations, at least get your info correct.

Might I suggest you read what Ehrenstein actually implies and says:
"But the same can't be said of most white Americans, whose desire for a noble, healing Negro hasn't faded. That's where Obama comes in: as Poitier's "real" fake son.

The senator's famously stem-winding stump speeches have been drawing huge crowds to hear him talk of uniting rather than dividing. A praiseworthy goal. Consequently, even the mild criticisms thrown his way have been waved away, "magically." He used to smoke, but now he doesn't; he racked up a bunch of delinquent parking tickets, but he paid them all back with an apology. And hey, is looking good in a bathing suit a bad thing?

The only mud that momentarily stuck was criticism (white and black alike) concerning Obama's alleged "inauthenticty," as compared to such sterling examples of "genuine" blackness as Al Sharpton and Snoop Dogg. Speaking as an African American whose last name has led to his racial "credentials" being challenged — often several times a day — I know how pesky this sort of thing can be.

Obama's fame right now has little to do with his political record or what he's written in his two (count 'em) books, or even what he's actually said in those stem-winders. It's the way he's said it that counts the most. It's his manner, which, as presidential hopeful Sen. Joe Biden ham-fistedly reminded us, is "articulate." His tone is always genial, his voice warm and unthreatening, and he hasn't called his opponents names (despite being baited by the media).

Like a comic-book superhero, Obama is there to help, out of the sheer goodness of a heart we need not know or understand. For as with all Magic Negroes, the less real he seems, the more desirable he becomes. If he were real, white America couldn't project all its fantasies of curative black benevolence on him."

    ReplyDelete
  9. The article is from March 2007--well before Obama had any success of any sort to speak of, fund-raising or electoral. Second, the song (from March/April 2007) is a criticism of that mentality that says race-baiters on the left are allowed to demean blacks that don't race-bait. Did you read the article? Did you see how it was sympathetic of blacks being challenged to defend their authenticity? Did you catch that it was written by a black man...

...who also has his authenticity challenged on a regular basis?

    ReplyDelete
  10. The hysterical rush to protect the messiah Obama from ridicule only proves Ehrenstein’s point. And the parody is as much, if not more, a satire of race-mongering demagogue Al Sharpton than it is of Obama. But then we all know, with out race baiting, you would have no argument.

    ReplyDelete
  11. My gosh Liquid. Do you not read your own posts.
This is a March 2007 article.
In his very 1st paragraph he states the obvious, as I said. Barack Obama is running for President. You reprinted it yourself. Exactly as I said!
Then his 2nd paragraph ponders the "Magic Negro" question. HE does NOT say he is an MN. He merely says he is running for it.

Squirm and spin as you will. Anyone reading this clearly understands, in March 2007, Obama is new to the Presidential political scene and this guy is op-eding the unknown.

THE Op Ed was Written on MARCH 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    For Heaven's Sake!!
Long before the American Public really got to know him as a Prez candidate and the debates.
The Op Ed was based on NOT KNOWING him. We ALL got to know him since them with the debates, town halls, etc.

  18. Liquid, Silly Liquid,
Of course I knew he was African American. He as well as others from one of my blog favorites, Black Commentators.com, questioned Obama's newness and authenticity.
Everyone was questioning, "Who is he?" at that time. Including me.
In this Op Ed he did NOT say he was a MN. He only said he was a running for it.
Then 3 paragraphs of the description.

Then it was Limpy that had his soundman spin the entire op ed and make racist statements on the CD as he has a mammyist portrayal of Rev. Al Sharpton rap the song.
    So distasteful!!
How can you possibility support this type of CLEAR RACISM!

How stupid can Salty be? They lost 97% of the African American vote. Was he shooting to lose the other 3%?

And YOU for Just NOT GETTING IT.
Go back to White Nationalist Hran. Your like minded noodle heads like it there.

    Yummy. Just like Chocolate!!

You are so silly you do not even understand this is NOT about Ehrenstein. Sure he posed a question in March 2007 and now he is getting his 15 minutes by continuing to pander to the Right against O. But what you neglect is the issue is the CD created by Limpys sound guy. It is racist and abusive. Then Salty the head of the RNC sends it out to the RNC Leaders. The racist CD created and promoted by Limput and forwarded to the RNC leaders are the OFFENSES.

But you dear CHOOSE TO IGNORE AND NOT DISCUSS the ISSUE and instead make yourself look ignorant and childish as you continue your little name calling rants. Go have some spiked EggNog. It may help your argument!

  46. Your topic headline states the following:

"AS I PREDICTED: The Cowardly Lion Limbaugh Cowers to the Media Payback over his "Magic Negro" Lies!"

Where is this topic about then, because you have failed to answer the question each time I have asked it. You keep bringing up information form your other 2 topics. So what is it YOU predicted?? How has Limbaugh cowered to the media payback?? You can't even get the Limbaugh quotes correct.

This is funny, look to post number 4, where you start out calling me names, you very first word!! Live by your own rules before you start pointing fingers.

  48. Ehrenstein calls Obama the "Magic Negro" 5 times in his article + 1 time in the headline. Ehrenstein has a distaste for Obama and was for Kucinch during the primary's. Ehrenstein is also very much involved in the LGBT community, I gave you the links to his articles about that already, do your research. Your view of Ehrenstein questioning Obama and Limbaugh making a racist CD is laughable. Especially when the gist of it is that Shanklin uses an Al Sharpton character voice pointing out the hypocrisy of Sharpton calling into question Obama's blackness and ideals the same as Ehrenstein has done.

  49. Liquid,
    Calming down now?
Now you want to discuss the topic?
I guess a little slap down helped you.

Regarding this topic, Limbaugh posted this article himself on his current website, even though it was from earlier last year when the media initially jumped on him. I merely referenced it.
    This is his usual M.O.
He goes off the deep end, does something really stupid or racist, then he moans, wails and cries on his radio how to his avid Limpheads saying the evil drive by media is after him.

I knew this is how he would react to the media bashing he got for this CD, last year and the redux when Salty sent it out to the RNC. Oh woe is me is his usual lament.

I actually listen to him when I drive to SA. His idiocy gives me a good laugh.

  51. So your attempting to predict something from 2007, as stated in your headline?? You don't even have Limbaughs quotes correct, which I already pointed out. You also don't have the date correct, which I also already pointed out. I suggest you go back to my first post, and start all over.

  52. Only you believe the CD is racist and abusive. I find it witty and very factually correct about Sharpton, since it is in his point of view it was written. But then, you think Sharpton is someone to look up to. Some people, I digress, will never learn.

Wrong Again Liquid. Countless people are insightful enough to realize the CD is racist and abusive. The media was all over it. There were countless blogs and articles about it. I posted it on Kos and there were hundreds of comments agreeing on my posts.
You and the KKK and Salty are the only ones who believe otherwise.

It only took me asking a question 3 times before you attempted to answer it, all the while calling me names throughout all your comments. Sorry, I only responded back at your ignorance.

Your headline is then misleading, as you have predicted nothing and Limbaugh has not cowered to any media payback. You point the finger at Limbaugh and lay blame on him. Quite honestly the RNC chairman has no balls and is the one cowering.

  57. The CD was written by a COMEDIAN, the songs are 'parodies'. Even Obama himself laughed off the song. The only one calling it racist are you liberal hypocrites. But then you find Letterman and Chappelle funny, right?? as long as they are talking about the 'other side' of the coin.

    Lets see,
    ignorant

Pretty much means the same as silly, don;t you think.

Live by your own rules before pointing fingers. Silly is just as 'vile' as ignorant.

  67. Dee, you also called Liquid a racist. Is that also a term of endearment? You bury yourself more and more with each denial. You have also called me nasty names. I think we are all smart enough to know the differnce between a term of endearment and an insult.

  70. Anon,
    Are you still here?
I thought you were going to start your own blog on eblogger. Very easy to do.
I never said, Liquid you are a racist.
I said the CD was racist. Limpy, KKK, Salty and some members of the RNC may be racist. The closest I almost came to it was when I said Liquid didnt admit the CD was racist then he was either this or that or the other. I never said Liquid you are racist.

You certainly have difficulty with your reading comprehension skills.
I might suggest you take a class at your local community college.

  74. Anon,
You, my dear, are looking a little desperate here. You continue to attack without listening to what I am saying. You keep forgetting. This is my blog. I can do as I want on my blog. I am absolutely open to criticism or to feedback, but I will not abide by name calling and ad hominem attacks on me.

If you dont like it here, you are free to leave.
If you do like it here, you do not have to stay, but if you do stay, you must abide by my rules.

I am not an idiot or a dunce as you attempt to portray me.
I am just a nice, American woman, Latina, wife, mother, grandmother with my own opinions and have my own blog.
I happen to be much more of a humanitarian than you are.
I also have much more love in my heart. I care for human beings and the human condition.
    I also love America.

I am probably an enigma to you.
I dont agree with your view point and I will NEVER, EVER back down to you.

I serve as an example to all of my viewers, and I hope, especially, to my young Latina viewers. We can stand up to the powers that be. We have an equal opinion and we can voice it any time we want.
