They made a good choice!
ReplyDeleteI think she will be a good Justice and deserved to be confirmed but disclosing her remarks outside the courtroom was also an important part of the confirmation process. It would interesting to see what the questions and the vote would have been if the nominee has been Republican with the same legal credentials and the same record of remarks outside the courtroom.
ReplyDeleteI agree. She will make an excellent SCJOTUS.
ReplyDeleteRepublicans won't get a chance to nominate a Justice if they don't change their evil ways!
Regardless, Alito did make similar remarks, but after his wife left the room crying, no one dared say a word like "Looocey...you got some splainin to do" as they did to Sotomayor. Nevertheless, Sotomayor stood strong and was very refined and dignified throughout the hearings.
I am glad she has been confirmed.
