EVIL ANTIs like Robertson, Limbaugh and Roy Beck Demonize Haitians during their Time of Need!

The devastation in Haiti is unimaginable. On "60 Minutes" last night, viewers were provided a glimpse of the devastation. Hundreds of dead bodies lay on the ground, piled up, as they were gathered to be dumped in mass graves. The body count may be as high as 100,000.

While help is on its way, it is nearly impossible to even start the work that needs to be done. The devastation was indiscriminate, killing men, women and children alike. There are few doctors or healthcare workers available to help those that survived. The injured are being cared for with hacksaws and crude equipment. No water or food is availabe as the injured lay starving to death, some underneath piles of rubble.

Most Americans know, understand and are sympathetic to the Haitians in their time of need. However, there are a few heartless and inhumane neanderthals that are being skeptical and rude in response to the Haitians' needs.

Pat Robertson: "Haiti made a pact with the devil when it broke away from France."
Rush Limbaugh: "President Barack Obama will use the offer and delivery of U.S. aid to boost his credibility among light-skinned and dark-skinned black people."
Roy Beck, NumbersUSA: "move Haitians rescued from their boats back to Haiti ...rather than allow a small fraction to move to the U.S. and further exacerbate the unemployment and economic distress of our own most vulnerable Americans. "
In a move supported by both Democrats and Republicans, the Obama administration Friday extended special protection to some 100,000 Haitians living illegally in the United States that keeps them from being deported. The Department of Homeland Security said it would offer Haitian nationals, who were already here when Tuesday’s earthquake struck, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 18 months. That status, which would allow them to legally work, will not cover Haitians who flee their country following the devastating 7.0 quake that resulted in as many as 50,000 deaths and left its capital, Port-au-Prince, in ruins. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said it’s “tempting for people suffering in the aftermath of the earthquake to seek refuge elsewhere” but that “attempting to leave Haiti now will only bring more hardship to the Haitian people and nation.” She also said returning illegal immigrants from Haiti would put their “personal safety" at risk. TPS is typically extended to immigrants from countries – such as El Salvador, Honduras, Somalia, and Nicaragua – where sudden conflict or disaster has prevented them from returning safely.
On Wednesday, US immigration officials temporarily halted the removal of some 30,000 illegal Haitians awaiting deportation. France, Canada, and the Dominican Republic are taking similar steps to ease their immigrations rules in light of the disaster. “Extending this mantle of protection to struggling Haiti is not only appropriate, but a just, compassionate, and concrete step the United States can take toward alleviating the human suffering of the Haitian people,” wrote Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, president of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, in a letter to the White House. Indiana Sen. Richard Lugar (R) supports the decision as well as does Sen. Bill Nelson (D) of Florida. “This is the right thing to do. Haitian immigrants already in the U.S. will not only be able to make money to support themselves, but also to send remittances to their suffering families back in Haiti,” Senator Nelson said in a statement Friday. Dan Stein, president of the conservative Federation for American Immigration Reform, told USA Today that he supports the move. He did say, however, that the TPS status should be terminated once the crisis is over. Mark Krikorian, executive director for the Center for Immigration Studies, wrote on the conservative National Review Online that once TSP is granted, it often becomes amnesty. "As far as I've been able to determine, not a single person who has ever been granted this 'temporary' status has later been deported."

  1. Maybe you should look to what Napalitano has said about the TPS of Haitians. Only those who were within the USA prior to January 13, 2010 will be granted TPS, those attempting to leave Haiti will be turned around and taken back. In other words " no new Haitian immigrants or asylee's".

  2. The only one being talked about is Pat Robertson. Limbaugh and Beck aren't even considered as you are portraying them.

  3. That all countries stop their deportations of Haitians is the most Humane and Kind thing to do. Otherwise it would be very inhumane and not very political ( in international terms ).

Conservatives can be very intelligent, kind and humane. Conservatives can be very nice and many times I feel very CONSERVATIVE. Nobody likes taxes being squandered or State and Federal Employees vegetating.

But for me those people of Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Lou Dobbs and all the before and above mentioned Swamp Monsters are not conservatives but Hate Merchants. ( Pat Robertson too ! )

I strongly doubt that they believe in what they preach, because of the high degree of stupidity and imbecility in their rants. And they are very intelligent to become rich with that garbage.

They are just wicked, mean, evil ....... Hypocrites !!

And they are also the GREATEST WELFARE QUEENS, because they have been given a PUBLIC GOOD, that is the ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM, the Hertzian Waves. And they use it to promote Hate, Fear, Paranoia, War, Violence, Racism, Airstrikes to kill Children, Women and the Old.

They are one million times more Racist than Reverend Wright ( who is a Pacifist, Poet and Inspired Prophet ! - But I am an atheist !). Reverend Wright goes to Purgatory, the other guys go to Hell. Reverend Wright should serve a sentence in Purgatory for becoming rich with Religion.

  5. Liquid,
I just heard that Gov. Ed Rendell has travelled to Haiti and has brought back 61 Haitian orphans. He was asked to do so by the Ambassador to Haiti. It looks like other American leaders will be taking similar humanitarian actions.

What this tells me is official immigration actions may not be taken, but these unofficial Humanitarian actions will bypass TPS and instead waivers (e.g.: adopting a child) to enable citizenship for these suffering Human Beings will be the norm.

    Do you agree?

  6. Napolitano is calling it "Humanitarian Parole."

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced on Sunday that "humanitarian parole" would be extended to some Haitian orphans as a response to the crisis, allowing them to enter the country temporarily on a case-by-case basis.

  7. There is good reason for it:

"Haiti's earthquake has left its children particularly vulnerable--not just to hunger, lack of water, and violence--but to kidnapping and slavery"

  8. Here is an update to this article:

UPDATE: An administration official said the children would go through medical screening upon arrival and that DHS would assume custody of the children until their adoption or placement status is resolved.

..... Gosh, does this mean these babies go to Detention Centers???? I hope not! I hope they are adopted quickly and brought into people's homes.

  9. I am going to ask my friends in the PRO Blogosphere to check into this.

    NO DETENTION CENTERS!

YES! FAMILY ADOPTION for these Babies!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Those children were already in the process of adopotion, check your sources.

  11. Do you agree?
No, I don't. The orphans that were brought were the ones who already had adoption papers going through to couples living here in the USA, nothing more. Rendell had to go through DHS in order to make this happen, Napalitano allowed it along with the Haitian Government because of the situation there and the process already having been started for the adoptions prior to the quake.

  12. I did check the sources. Many were in process. Not all.

What is clear: New Policy titled:
    "Humanitarian Parole"

Let's see what comes from it!!

Who said anything about a detention center for these kids? They are being brought here for adoption. Oh yeah, the above would be a much better alternative than a "horrors upon horrors" a detention center. I think not!

  15. Good article Liquid.
    About status once here:

Under applicable laws, unaccompanied minors entering the country without a parent or legal guardian are subject to special procedures regarding their custody and care. DHS coordinates with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement on the cases of these unaccompanied minors.

All cases will be evaluated by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Depending on their circumstances, and information available some children will receive immigrant visas with permanent immigration status and will require no further processing. Those who enter under humanitarian parole status will need to have their immigration status resolved after arrival.

  16. Re: Humanitarian Parole, there are 3 conditions. It is OTHER that will be interesting:

    1. IN PROCESS: process of being adopted by Americans prior to Jan. 12, 2010

    2. MATCHED: matched to prospective American adoptive parents prior to Jan. 12, 2010

    3. OTHER: Given the severity of the disaster in Haiti, we understand that there are additional children that have been orphaned and/or separated from relatives and MAY also be in varying stages of the adoption process. DHS and the U.S. Department of State continue to evaluate additional eligibility criteria and will provide additional information as soon as it is available.

  17. I am surprised that you aren't advocating for all Haitians to be able to come here unabated since it goes along with your agenda of "browning" up America.

  18. Anon,
    No one said that.
What I did say was that I, like most Americans, am concerned for those hurt and dead in Haiti. Over 100,000.

    Obviously YOU have NO Compassion!

    ReplyDelete
  19. How did you go from me not wanting the entire country of Haiti coming over here to lacking compassion? Quite a jump there wouldn't you say?

I am all for helping them in their own country and think it wise not to return those Haitian deportees back to their country at this disastrous time. How is that lacking in compassion? You need a chill pill and quit accusing others of things they never said.

  20. Anon,

    So typical of you anon.
