Happy New Year 2010

  1. Wishing Well for America in 2010, also for Mr Obama, Democrats - Black Hole eating illusions - Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy and Johnson.

Have a nice new year 2010, I also wish prosperity and health for all your readers.

Greetings to people of a Liberal or at least a Kind and Generous Disposition.

Good thing that Mr Obama passsed a Stimulus Package, that the Economy is in slow recovery, that Health Care is passing slowly through Congress, that he placed Sonia Sotomayor in a High Position - Good that the Department of Justice is finally going to do something against Racist Lynchings and Repugnant Racist Trials. Good for Eric Holder.

I hope that Mr Obama can solve the Extremely Grave Problems of Foreign Policy. Many U.S. Presidents have failed in the past in their Social or Domestic Agendas, because of Wars :

Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy and Johnson had beautiful visions that couldn't materialize in their time. Wars were the obstacles against those dreams.

"Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is very difficult, controversial, contentious, quarrelsome. Those disputations may end in ugly debates and verbal violence. Difficult when there are swamps and quagmires in Foreign Policy. "Immigration" may be Kryptonite for Mr Obama, better to do nothing.

Foreign Policy is the Great Black Hole that eats many Illusions.

The Future of Foreign Policy : Not very bright if America continues being very Bellicose, Hostile and Warlike, like bombing Iran or allowing Israel to do so, or if America intends to stay for very long in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, which seems increasingly very probable.

  2. Michele Bachmann against the Census :

    From the Minneapolis Star-Tribune:

"It's ironic that a Minnesota member of Congress, Republican
Michele Bachmann, went so far last summer to declare her intention to
only partially complete her census forms, and to suggest reasons for
others not to comply with the census law.

If Minnesota loses a congressional seat, Bachmann's populous Sixth District could be carved into pieces. She likely would have to battle another incumbent to hang on to her seat.

We've noticed that her anticensus rhetoric has lately ceased. We hope she got wise: ompliance is not only in Minnesota's best interest, but also her own."
