Chris Rock was right when he said, "They've been asking me to join them in their fight against the Mexicans but I ain't gonna do it because I know when they kick out all the Mexicans, we're Next!"
Rock is absolutely right and this is proven in the statements of Tea Party Champion Rand Paul. Now Tea Party activists are saying they agree with Paul! Paul was criticized Wednesday for saying in a series of interviews that he would have opposed forcing private businesses to integrate under the landmark 1964 law that banned racial discrimination. Paul clarified his remarks Thursday, saying he agrees with the goals of the law but questions the federal government imposing its will on businesses – a view consistent with his long-held libertarian beliefs but leaving him open to criticisms that he would allow racial discrimination.
And as Paul tried to explain his take on the civil rights law Friday, he has added fuel to the fire with criticism of President Obama for being too tough on oil company BP PLC in his handling of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Chris Rock is up in the night. Any thinking person knows it is impossible to deport citizens. Check the record and the law.
ReplyDeletePrivate property and the freedom of association is what is driving Paul's Libertarian views not racism or segregationist view per se.
Although this may have been a mistake politically speaking, we should admire him for being candid about his views rather than waffling like other politicians who tell you one thing and then do another.

Some Excerpts :
Ready just happens to be an "American patriot" who was court-martialed twice and booted from the U.S. Marines with a bad-conduct discharge.
In 2006, the East Valley Tribune noted the following:
"In 1996, Ready was charged and convicted in a military court of theft, unauthorized absence and failure to follow orders. Later that year, in a separate court proceeding, he was convicted of assault, conspiracy and wrongful solicitation and advice.
"He served three months in confinement and had to forfeit $581 each month in pay for the first court-martial. He was also demoted to private. After his second conviction, he served six months in confinement and was discharged for bad conduct."
A 2008 piece in the Arizona Republic stated that Ready also "admitted to a 1992 incident in Florida that left him with a criminal assault record."
In 2007, Ready was arrested for displaying a fictitious license plate on his black Chevy Impala. He also had an illegal pre-emption emitter in the car, allowing him to change stop lights from red to green. In his possession was a 9mm handgun and white power literature.
And then in 2006, there was a weird incident between an armed Ready and an illegal immigrant with a BB handgun. A highly-publicized "shootout" between the two occurred, though no one was injured.
This is only a partial retelling of Ready's activities. He's been a thorn in the side of the state GOP, where he formerly served as a precinct committeeman. He's also an ex-pal of state Senator Russell Pearce, and has shown up at demonstrations to support Sheriff Joe or those Joe supports.

For those naive enough to think that because it is against the law to deport American citizens, it isn't done.
ReplyDeleteImmigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has been deporting over a million people each year. Most are Mexican citizens residing here without legal status. But thousands of those being detained and even deported are US citizens.

J.T. Ready is a common criminal with neo-Nazi connections. Isn't this guy a three time loser by now that would enable someone to throw him in the slammer for the rest of his life -- preferably in one with a heavy black and brown population to fix this guy for good.
ReplyDeleteWASHINGTON, Jan 5: A new intelligence law, and now a court ruling, have further strengthened the US government's power to strip a person of his citizenship even if he committed the crime after naturalization.
ReplyDeleteA federal appeals court on Tuesday allowed the government to strip a Haitian-American restaurant owner of his citizenship even though he was indicted, arrested and convicted after naturalization.
Also on Tuesday, federal agents in Atlanta arrested a prominent Ethiopian human rights abuse suspect and put him in deportation proceedings, for the first time using legal powers granted under a newly-signed intelligence reform law.
Immigration lawyers say that the two developments can have far-reaching consequences for thousands of immigrants from Muslim countries who already complain that they have become terror suspects since the Sept 11, 2001 terrorist attacks believed to have been carried out by Muslim men.
A large number of Muslim immigrants, including hundreds of Pakistanis, have been deported since 9/11 but most of them were visitors, guest workers and green card holders. Naturalized American citizens were deported only if they were found guilty of having lied in their naturalization applications about a criminal record.
There is no doubt that some citizens have been inappropriately detain. No system is perfect. If an employer comingles citizen workers with the illegals he should not have hired in the first place, mistaken identity is certain to happen occasionally. Those who are interested in a solution to this problem will recognize this as just in the noise level and not the policy of ICE. Those who say we need to sanction the employers have no suggestions on how that might be done without checking the bona fides of their employees. Once that is done, ICE has an obligation to the American people to detain those who fail to produce proof of work status. Let's not throw the baby out with the bath water by handcuffing ICE anymore than the Administration has already done.
ReplyDeleteWhat I meant to say in my original post is "it is impossible to deport natural born citizens..."
ReplyDeleteCan natural born citizens be deported?
No. Once a person is born in the U.S. they have the same rights as all other natural born citizens regardless of whether they are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd generation.
Lucky Luciano was deported because he obtained naturalization. fraudulently
Ultima,
ReplyDeleteWe do agree about JT Ready.
He is a neo nazi and an instigator.
Yet. He is best friends with sb1070 sponsor Russell Pearce.
Duncan Hunter Jr. wants to deport the CITIZEN children of those deported. He doesn't set an age as a cutoff.
ReplyDeleteDuncan Hunter is a voice crying in the wilderness. I'm sure he is reflecting on the fact that those adult children wouldn't be here if it weren't for their parents illegal entry. There is no way he is going to be successful in deporting them if they were born here. He should be focusing on how to modify the 14th amendment so that citizenship never would have been awarded.
ReplyDeleteMinor children are another matter entirely. I can't imagine parents wanting to leave their minor children behind if they are under a removal order. But even those children cannot be removed if they were born in the U.S. Nevertheless, the best policy is to encourage parents to take their children with them. The children can return once they reach a age where they can take care of themsleves.
ICE cannot legally deport citizens unless they have obtained their citizenship through fraudulent means.
ReplyDeleteDuncan Hunter is frustrated by the Mexican takeover of California. He realizes that a major part of the problem is the children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens. However, except for the caveat about minor children, he is expressing his personal feeling not what is actually feasible.
