Schwarzenegger Cracks Arizona Joke At Graduation
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger took a shot at Arizona's new immigration law while delivering a graduation speech today in Atlanta. The governor delivered the commencement speech at Emory University. Gov. Schwarzenegger's office confirmed that the governor made a joke aimed at Arizona.

"I was also going to give a graduation speech in Arizona this weekend," Schwarzenegger said. "But with my accent I was afraid they would try to deport me."

The governor has said in the past he thinks the Arizona law is a "mess". He even made a statement on the Jay Leno show saying he would "never do that in California".

  1. Arnold is an idiot. Just look at CA's budget for proof.

  2. I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.

I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of this law, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO!

Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.

  3. Gold Standard, Lack of Economic Knowledge, etc ... caused Great Depression 1930 - Is it wise to evict Young Latinos when another Depression caused by Old Age may be coming ???

Professor Robert Samuelson in Newsweek talks about another possible Great Depression - This is not a prophecy or a definite assurance, but only a possibility, something that can not be discarded completely. See link below to Newsweek Magazine.

So what is the use of kicking out 12 million Latinos, mostly youngsters, many of them students in K-12 ??

Is it so wise ?? ... .Who is going to care for the Old White Population in Geriatric Gerontology Asylums or Family Homes ?? --- This depression could be caused by Welfare State and Old Age according to Professor Samuelson.

Who are going to man the economy when the Baby Boomers retire ?? -- In case that there is a bottleneck in the Pyramid of Ages ??

Who is going to help you with the toilet paper ?? ... when you lose movement and agility in your hands. When you need help to stand up.

    Welcome to your wheelchair !

  4. “All Men are created equal”! The founders had it right, when attempting to form a perfect union and they also knew that they were not there yet but knew we one day would get there. Lincoln moved us forward as did JFK and LBJ. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.

It is my contention that this AZ law is not constitutional and will fail when challenged (unless, of course, they keep adding more amendments), pretty funny for this so called perfect law.

As for the undocumented workers, as Ronald Reagan said “It’s the Economy, Stupid”. When the economy is good we say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when we are in a down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. This too will pass. The real problem is the narcosis/drug and people smuggler that’s what the focus should be on.

Don’t you find it funny that no one ever voted for Governor Brewer, it’s all about politics, do not be fooled. Busy Brewer has passed S.B. 1070, no permit conceal weapons law, the famous Birthers law and if history is a lesson their House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which failed when challenged) and the one that was the funniest the boycott of Martin Luther King Day, not wanting another holiday. I believe there is an undercurrent to their enactment of new laws, they real love following a distinct pattern.
