An "Old Man's View" of the Trayvon Martin Murder Case

Now that the jury is deliberating, I'm sharing "An Old Man's View" of the Trayvon Martin Murder Case:

  1. Regardless of what this man believes, Zimmerman is not guilty of violating any laws for following the young man through the gated community. I understand the frustration that Martin must have felt when asked, what are you doing here? But that was no excuse to start battering George with his fists, knocking him to the ground, while in the process beating his head on the pavement. We have to ask ourselves, under such circumstances, what measures would we be willing to take if we found ourselves in the same identical situation Zimmerman faced that night.

  2. This is just a case of Vigilantism, when you are not a policeman or an uniformed and authorized watchman, but act as a bully following those people that you don't like

Vigilantism is very repugnant and has a lot of Racial and Ethnic connotations

I am sure that if Trayvon had been white we will be telling another story

In Scandinavia there are strong laws against people following you, bothering you, harassing you, or talking to you when you don't want to answer.
