Dear Mr. President,
It is clear. The Republicans do NOT listen to the American people. We voted for you. We voted for your message of standing UP for the Middle Class and to stop giving Tax Cuts to the Rich 1%. We voted for your message of Equality for ALL People in our Country, of ALL Ethnicities, Colors, Religion and Sexual Orientation. We voted for your message of improving Life for the Middle Class, Education (as the Great Equalizer) for All, More Jobs for all HERE in the United States – NOT Outsourced Offshore.
We stand with you, Mr. President, in STOPPING these Mass Murders – and once and for all improving safety for ALL of Us – especially our children in Schools & Movie Theaters – by at LEAST closely monitoring the sales of assault weapons, ammunition and ensuring these sales are closely regulated so that anyone purchasing these types of weapons completes a background check and completes proper forms for purchase.
While the vast majority of the American People support your Message, the far right wing of the Republican Party, supported by many of the rich 1 percent, Fox News (Hannity, O’Reilly), right wing radio (Limbaugh, Bennett, Beck etc) oppose your message. We’ve heard the irresponsible rhetoric from the right wing head of the NRA. Worse yet, the Republican Tea Party backed Congressmen have said they are against any form of compromise. They voted down Republican Majority Leader Boehner’s Plan B proposal. These nut jobs want to go off the Fiscal Cliff. They have proven they DO NOT CARE about America.
Mr. President, YOU CANNOT continue to give in to these Extremists. You CANNOT! Please. DO NOT BACK DOWN, even if it means going off of the Fiscal Cliff. We all know IF you give in, in 2 months and every 2 months down the road, we will be facing another threat of “suicide of America as we know it by Tea Party” with each negotiattion towards ANY economic decision (eg: Debt Ceiling debate).
Mr. President. Stand Strong. We are depending on you.
We ALL know the far right Republican Agenda.
There are so many things we MUST DO this year and throughout your next term. We cannot allow these extremist Republicans to control your agenda. They want to control your agenda this year so you CANNOT continue with:
1. Your rollout of Universal Healthcare
2. Passing Gun Safety Measures (be Tough here and DON’T allow them to control your agenda)
3. Dream Act: Pass the Actual Dream Act
4. Pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform
Mr. President. Please understand. WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE are solidly behind you. However, we do not want you to hesitate. These scoundrels are looking for ANY sign of Weakness and promise to be like laughing hyenas in small packs, attacking you at every opportunity – anything to deter your righteous agenda.
Mr. President. We Latino People PROMISE to stand with you. We are already hearing the howling of the jackals as they proclaim this is the Highest Year of Latino Deportations. These Scoundrels Must Believe WE LATINOS are Stupid. We too look at the statistics. The vast majority of the Deportations are occurring in states that have passed those heinous Racial Profiling Laws you oppose. The highest rate of deportations in the ENTIRE COUNTRY are in Maricopa County, Arizona – in Sheriff Arpaio’s own County. The highest rates of Deportations are in states that have passed laws SIMILAR TO SB1070. The highest rate of abuses, murders and assaults against Border Crossers are in Arizona – where OFTEN, Border Patrol and LOCAL VOLUNTEERS are from the Far Right Extremist Latino Haters. Mr. President – WE KNOW THIS! And we know that when Comprehensive Immigration Reform finally passes, that these reprehensible officials, like Arpaio, Brewer and others will finally move back into their rabbit holes.
Mr. President, please stand strong! . Please stand True to your righteous agenda. WE THE PEOPLE are depending on you.

Immigration Talk with a Mexican American
Dear Mr. President,
As is evident by OUR Win Last night, 70% of ALL Latino Voters voted for you. We followed your first four years. We realize you are a good man, an honest man, a good husband, a good father and a Great President. You are a strong leader. You faced so much adversity these last four years.
You accomplished so much during your first four years and we appreciate you.
We know that you passed the Lilly Ledbetter Act, captured Osama Bin Laden, pulled us out of a wrongful war in Iraq - with a promise to bring home more of our troops and rule with diplomacy. We are respected again across the world. You passed the Affordable Care Act. You pushed through the Dream Policy. You corrected the wrongs that occurred during the Secure Communities Policy.
RACIAL PROFILING: So much Racial Profiling has occurred during the hate-filled racial profiling policies drafted by the far right, led by Kris Kobach and F.A.I.R. which began in Arizona and with Sheriff Arpaio. WE LATINOS HAVE EXPERIENCED SO MUCH HARM as these policies were rolled out across many other states. Let me state, here and now. WE LATINOS HATE BEING RACIALLY PROFILED and WE WILL NOT SIT STILL AND ALLOW THESE RACIAL PROFILING POLICIES TO CONTINUE. We are Demanding From You, Mr. PRESIDENT, to STOP THIS RACIAL PROFILING, ONCE AND FOR ALL!! NOW and Going Forward. THIS IS OUR PLEA! End this Immediately. NO AMERICAN SHOULD BE RACIALLY PROFILED!
HATE CRIMES: We know that you have forwarded our concerns to Attorney General, Eric Holder, to fight against Latino Hate Crimes, including the murder of .Marcelo Lucero, the Chilean Students and Luis Ramirez. We know that you stopped the ICE Raids and dramatically decreased the round-ups of immigrants sent to Private Prisons. W
e stood side by side with you as you fought against Sheriff Arpaio who wrongfully attacked you. Even though you did not pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform or the Full Dream Act in your First Term, WE AMERICAN LATINOS stood by you. We continue to stand by you. WE THE PEOPLE Support You.
Now,that your Second Term is about to begin, BEYOND ENDING RACIAL PROFILING AND ENDING HATE CRIMES, we ask:
1. Pass the FULL DREAM ACT: The time is right. Partner with Republicans. Now, even they realize this is the right thing to do. It will be easy. This can pass quickly. This will be a visible, immediate demonstration of your response to your many supporters.
2. Sheriff Arpaio: For Heaven's Sake. There is so much documentation and so many videos of his racial profiling and wrong doings. Please. Once and for all. Indict him for ALL OF HIS CRIMES.
3. Comprehensive Immigration Reform: Please begin a bi-partisan commission to FINALLY begin drafting a Bill. Include a pathway to citizenship.
4. STOP THE RACIAL PROFILING BILLS: As stated, this should be First but I am putting it 4th because I realize the complexity of this issue. Stop bills like sb1070 -- those bills drafted in various states, drafted by kris kobach designed to racially profile ALL Latinos and people with Brown Skin. For Heaven's sake.
This should be a no-brainer. WE LATINOS HATE THESE BILLS. We don't want to be the target during Arpaio "Suppression Sweeps."
Please understand. We just want to live our lives, just like everyone else. Heck. We've been here hundreds of years and the utter audacity of being subjected to these "sweeps" just because we have Brown Skin is not only demoralizing, it is a crime against Humanity. Just Stop It!
5. LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE NOT THE ORGANIZATIONS: Now I'm probably going to piss a few people off here. But let me tell you the truth. Listen to the Latino Americans Voters, NOT to large groups or organizations with Deep Pockets, claiming to represent us. WE Latino American Voters RALLIED AND VOTED FOR YOU because of 1 - 4 above, not because WE were coerced or cajoled by various organizations. We have been motivated by blogs, twitter, facebook and by own experiences. We are young. We are old. We are rich. We are poor. We come from every people - from every day Americans, NOT deep pocketed groups with their own agendas.
6. LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE. Start your own demographic groups. Rely on people WE respect like our Heroine Dolores Huerte, Luis Guitierrez, Raul Grijalva and the Hispanic Congressional Caucus. Listen to people, whose various ethnicities originated from Mexican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Central, Southern American and create a NEW task force.
Bring in our own stars who started from grass roots like Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, George Lopez.
Listen to our Bloggers. Latina Lista, Immigration Clearinghouse, Citizen Orange, Vivir Latino, Dreamer Prerna Lal, Unapologetic Mexican, Raciality, Indigenous Xicano, Yave Bennet, Dos Centavos, Long Island Wins, and me. We'll even include the Republican side like Ruben Naverette and Dee Dee Garcia Blase.
As I've listed, each of these items should not be tremendously difficult. All we are asking for is Justice, Equality, Fair Treatment, and a right to pursue the American Dream - recognizing that Education and Hard Work are the Great Equalizers. We are not Asking for a Hand-Out. We are just asking for a Hand Shake.
Thank You President Obama. We voted for you. We believe in You.

Immigration Talk with a Mexican American
As my long time viewers know, I have supported our President throughout his Presidency. Many of my fellow bloggers have been very concerned by the President's lack of support for passing Immigration Reform legislation, no progress on the Dream Act and for the increased number of ICE Deportations. Eric Holder has made no progress on the Joe Arpaio investigation. And now, the Department of Homeland Security has said it will move ahead with its controversial Secure Communities immigration enforcement program, even if states do not agree to participate. This means even MORE ICE Deportations.
I disagree with this bill. President Obama continues to stand to the right of center, pleading for the Independent Vote. He believes the Latinos will vote for him regardless of Racial Profiling policies like this. In President Obama's quest/obsession for winning over the Center, he will have a TOUGH TIME holding on to his base!
I plead with the President: Why do you persist in pushing forward right of Center policy, slapping Latino Americans in the face? Do you really think we will continue to stand with you and vote for you if you continue doing this?
You have done NOTHING, NOTHING to support Immigration Reform.
You have NOT even made an inch of progress with the Dream Act.
How can you slap us in the face like this? How can you push these Racial Profiling policies?
We need a response. A slap like this will not bring out any votes! I ask the Democratic Committee to give us OPTIONS in 2012. If President Obama continues to push right of center policies, PLEASE, Give us Hillary as an Option! I can tell you where OUR Votes will go!
HP Reports: Secure Communities Agreements Canceled, Participation Still Required
WASHINGTON -- Activists are outraged over a Friday announcement from the Department of Homeland Security that it will move ahead with its controversial Secure Communities immigration enforcement program, even if states do not agree to participate.
"Today’s announcement confirms [Immigration and Customs Enforcement]’s status as a rogue agency," Pablo Alvarado, director of the National Day Laborer's Organizing Network and a vocal critic of Secure Communities, said in a statement. "The recent actions constitute a crisis not only for our civil rights but our democracy as a whole. Governments cannot rule by decree."
The government faces a backlash over Secure Communities, a program that allows federal authorities to screen fingerprints of those arrested by local police in order to detect undocumented immigrants. Critics say the program nets large numbers of non-criminal undocumented immigrants and takes focus away from the primary targets of immigration enforcement, violent offenders.
Dear President Obama,Thank you for speaking out against the Racial Profiling bill HB1070. Unfortunately, Gov. Brewer, anxious to be elected, signed the bill, regardless of the impact on Latinos in Arizona.While we attempt to look for a bright side by hoping this negative bill will be a trigger to initiate Comprehensive Immigration Reform so you can put in place measures to truly fix our current broken immigration policies, I believe there is something else you can do.Please ask Janet Napolitano and the FBI to announce to the country their finding in the investigation of Maricopa County's Sheriff Arpaio and his gang of masked volunteer henchmen. I know the FBI has interviewed numerous Latinos who have come forward with details/proof of their racial profiling experience by the sheriff's goons. Please bring forward all the details the FBI's investigation has identified. Showcase this evidence to the country. Please include the over $40 million dollars in civil lawsuits he has incurred in Maricopa County.There are those, like White Supremist supported state senator Russell Pearce, the man who intiated this racial profiling bill, who want to use arpaio's tactics as a role model. Now is the time to expose the evil sheriff for all of his wrong doings. Bring the facts to the American Public. Let arpaio's example prove "what NOT to do." We the People implore you, President Obama. Speak for Truth, Justice and the American Way. Keep our Constitution, our Freedoms and our Civil Liberties in tact. Please do not let this Racial Profiling bill hurt any more Latinos in Maricopa County or across the state. We have faith in you that you will do that right thing!God Bless You,Dee
