Operation Wetback All Over Again Part 2

This continues to happen. As I´ve often said, the mood of this country is changing into ANTI-Hispanic Citizen.

Texan is jailed as illegal immigrant - Star - Telegram
A native Texan spent the night in the Arlington Jail, missed her children's first day of school and feared being deported after authorities mistook her for an illegal immigrant.
Alicia Rodriguez, an accountant and mother of three, has the same name and date of birth as a woman deported to Mexico three times.
"I was told I was waiting for an [immigration] officer or Border Patrol officer to interview me and then move me to another location. It was very scary," the Mansfield woman said.

"I was told I was waiting for an [immigration] officer or Border Patrol officer to interview me and then move me to another location. It was very scary," the Mansfield woman said.
Arlington and federal immigration officials say they made a mistake and apologized.

..
Rodriguez said the whole experience was a nightmare.
"I feel like it's a political byproduct of the whole illegal immigration thing," she said, "not that illegal immigrants shouldn't be dealt with, but I'm a citizen."

  1. If the mood is changing it is because many Hispanic citizens are defending illegal aliens with like ethnicity. They are making their own beds so to speak. If they joined together and fought side by side with other Americans to stop this illegal invasion they would gain the respect of all Americans. But that isn't going to happen till hell freezes over so they reap what you sew. Non-assimilaton by immigrants/citizen groups may be another factor that influences the mood of the majority of Americans.

I know many people who have been imprisoned for crimes they didn't commit either. Your scenario is nothing new. Our justice system isn't perfect.

  2. The problem is, citizens are being arrested and jailed by ICE. This has happened in TX, CA and FL this year.

  3. So, all they have to do is prove they are not illegals. What is the problem? Evidently ICE had reason to suspect them or they didn't have I.D. on them. Anyone who doesn't carry one with them is an idiot.

  4. Citizens are being killed by invaders. This has happened in every state in the US.

I don't hear a peep from dee about that.

  5. Read the article. She did provide her ID, her driver´s license with ther picture on it. She was born in Dallas area and cannot even speak Spanish. Her sister provided brook and even had to get a copy of her birth certificate. Afterwards, no apology for her mistaken arrest even though she had an anxiety attack. When released she had to walk 3 miles to get help. She was this closed to being sent to one of the horrendous Detention Centers.

  6. Tan, As I have said many, many times, I believe all criminals should be punished. That is why we need to bring the 12M out of the shadows and register them - the plan Ultima and I have talked about. That way, any felonious criminals can be quickly identified and immediately deported.

  7. It is understandable what happened to this Rodriquez woman. She had the same name and date of birth as a woman who was deported to Mexico three times. It was an unusual case but you want to make it out to be the norm as if it happens all the time to Hispanic Americans.

Your idea of bringing illegals out of the shadows to be identified or registered so we can deport the criminal ones is really far fetched. You are living in La La Land if you think those kinds would come out of the shadows. They wouldn't, they would stay in hiding.

  8. Pat, Same name puts you in jail? I hardly think so. How many John Smith or Jane Doe´s will wind up in prison? Yet you think it is ok for US citizens Juan Martinez or Gloria Lopez to go to jail because they have the same names as a criminal? This is NOT logical!! And, it violates their rights. As I said, Operation Wetback ALL OVER AGAIN!!

  9. I didn't say that is was ok for Jose Garcia to go to jail but not for John Smith in the case of mistaken identity. Why do you say such things? Thats a lie! I am really starting to disrespect you now.

What I said is that being that this woman had the exact same name and date of birth as the woman who was deported three times, that would explain how the mistake was made. The mistake was corrected and she wasn't deported, so what are you crying about? The same thing could have happened to John Smith if they were looking for a bank robber with the same name and date of birth and it has!

Operation Wetback has nothing to do with this. Are thousands of Hispanics citizens all over the country being deported all over the country recently who had proper I.D? What are you trying to pull here?

  10. Pat, Given the current wave of animosity, maybe this will help you understand.

    Why She Was Mistakenly Arrested

    ReplyDelete
  11. Geesh, you really are, well.....
The woman that was arrested was Hispanic. The woman that she was confused with was also a Hispanic Mexican, with the same name and same birthdate. You call that racial profiling when so many things were paralled?

I think you should seek help for your bitterness and hate.

  12. Pat, The anger is coming from one person. This might help you understand who that person is.

  13. Yes, stupidity and race card pulling does anger me. You are balantanly screaming racism and racial profiling over this mistaken identity situation and it just isn't so. Your blog is not what you have represented. You don't want civil discourse, you just want to pull the race card at every corner. Is that the thanks we get for kindly posting in your blog? You ask for civility but you give none.

  14. Pat Dear, Do me a favor. Please go back and read your comments on this page. Now imagine it is me posting to you.

Of course I am civil and allow you to speak your piece, but don´t demonize the blog owner for your own anger.

The facts are what happened to
Alicia was wrong. This has happened to others as well. Law enforcement should not be using racial profiling. Otherwise, they would have accepted her proof of identity and released her.

  15. Don't call me dear. Only my wife can do that and I am not your dear nor would I ever want to be. I know what I said in my post, I don't need to go back and re-read it.

What happened to that Hispanic woman was unfortunate but you are making a mountain out of a mole hill claiming it means "Operation Weback All Over Again". I asked you if this is happening to thousands of Hispanics all over this county but you refuse to answer. Know, why? Because it isn't. The mistaken identity was corrected, I am sure an apology was given and the woman released,so what is your beef? You think humans are perfect? Are you? It happens all the time and not just to Hispanics.

ICE had the name and birthdate and the nationality of a multiple deportee of a Mexican woman, a Hispanic citizen fit some of the criteria. Maybe they should have questioned a Chinese woman, whose name and birthdate were totally different? Is there no logic at all in your thinking or are you that biased and paranoid?

I am not seeing much civility from you as a blogger. Maybe you should go back and read your own posts for proof. You are acting like some kind of hateful tyrant in here rather than a blogger who is interested in everyone's opinions. Your blog isn't going to last long like that. But maybe you don't care. Maybe your agenda is to use people for whipping posts for whatever is eating away at you.

  16. LOL! I just found out that you left out the part that this woman was arrested for unpaid traffic tickets. She wasn't arrested because she was Hispanic or even arrested for being being suspected of being an illegal alien. It was only after being jailed FOR THE TRAFFIC TICKETS that they ran a check on her name and it matched the deportee's name and birthdate. There was no racial profiling involved in the initial arrest. My how we like to deceive, don't we girlie?

  17. You also claimed that there was no apology given to the woman for the mistaken identity situation. Here it is from the article that you yourself posted.

  18. Well Patriot Dahmner, Let´s hope you never get pulled over for a traffic ticket.

  19. Apology to the press. Not to her.

    From the article:
On Monday, she was transferred to Dalworthington Gardens Jail, where she had a panic attack when authorities told her immigration officials would come pick her up -- eventually.

"They told me it could take up to two days to move me to the next location which to me just meant it was going to be endless," Rodriguez said. She said police gave her oxygen to calm her hyperventilating.

Evans went to the Dalworthington Gardens Jail, showed officials her sister's birth certificate and tried again to convince officials that her sister was a U.S. citizen.

"I was frightened that she was going to be deported right then" to Mexico, Evans said. "We don't speak Spanish. What was she going to do, and how was I going to get there?"
    ...
They finally let her out at about 3 p.m. Monday.

She walked about 3 miles to get her impounded car before her sister could pick her up. Rodriguez said the whole experience was a nightmare.

"I feel like it's a political byproduct of the whole illegal immigration thing," she said

  20. Patriot Dahmner? What does that mean? If I am pulled over for a traffic violation, I expect to pay a fine. What point are you trying to make here as I don't get it?

This woman was taken to jail because she had several outstanding unpaid tickets. That is the law and if I were guilty of the same, I would expect to be taken to jail too and have a check done under my name for any other possible offenses, just as she was.
