This morning, I searched "Arpaio" on Google News, here are the latest reports.
Arpaio shirks peace with faceoff ploy
Apr. 7, 2008 12:00 AM
Just wondering: If any other ordinary citizen set up a confrontation, such as occurred when Sheriff Joe Arpaio recently set up the confrontation between immigrants and the motorcycle-club members, then invited the press, would that be considered "inciting a potential riot"? It almost looked to me like Arpaio was unhappy that no violence occurred so he could blame it on the immigrants.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is pretty clearly not engaging in saturation policing for general crime suppression. Instead, he's conducting sweeps for illegal immigrants disguised as general crime suppression. It's one thing not to turn your back on illegal immigration, as most of the Valley law enforcement agencies have done. It's entirely another thing to be conducting labor-intensive manhunts for illegal immigrants. If the primary object of an exercise is to find illegal immigrants - as is clearly the case in Arpaio's saturation patrolling - then it's impossible to avoid targeting enforcement action in part on ethnicity. And that crosses a dangerous line. Part of the problem with electing law enforcement officials is that no one can hold them in check when they run amok. Arpaio thinks he is one with the people and no one, except a court, has the authority to tell him to knock it off. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon's condemnation of Arpaio.
The only comparison to a lawless egomaniac is reserved for one of the Valley's best-known public figures. A round of seemingly unprovoked sweeps were carried out by Joe Arpaio's Maricopa County Sheriff's Office in the town of Guadalupe, stirring up outrage from immigrant and civil rights groups.Did I say unprovoked? That's the wrong word. Being an immigrant, looking like an immigrant, living among immigrants — these are three egregious provocations for Sheriff Arpaio. He is an ugly, mean, stupid idiot that likes to be on television. But back to telling jokes, though Sheriff Joe claims he was asked to carry out the roundup, Guadalupe officials deny that he was ever invited. "It's completely unwarranted," said an anonymous Guadalupe employee, who added, "Get it? 'Unwarranted.'"But "unwarranted" is not exactly the right word. Many of the arrests were just follow-ups on outstanding warrants — though the tactics used are a bit more than questionable. In many of the cases, drivers were pulled over for minor traffic violations, asked for identification and then assumed to be illegal immigrants if they could not provide a license.A similar sweep was carried out in the Palomino neighborhood in North Phoenix. While only a handful of people were arrested for being in the country illegally, thousands of dollars in business were lost, and more than 500 children were kept home from school by their parents, out of fear. Arpaio, without irony, claims the Palomino operation a success.Arpaio also insists that his actions are entirely legal — though he's certainly willing to bend the law; using ordinarily banal traffic codes to check immigration status is a fairly large leap. Sheriff Joe hopes that the laws are changed to make it easier to find illegal immigrants, like a hunter who asks that game animals be painted bright orange so that they won't be confused with an other animals.Though he has no legislative authority, Arpaio is nevertheless working on a bill — in slanted letters and poor spelling, no doubt — which will legally change the sound of his name to rhyme with "Robespierre."

Sheriff Joe Arpaio's crackdown on illegal immigration may have only just begun in the East Valley, with last week's patrols in the town of Guadalupe. State lawmakers from the East Valley, led by Rep. Russell Pearce, R-Mesa, have sent the sheriff a letter inviting him to their district, and Arpaio said Mesa might be next on his list. Arpaio said he is not bothered by accusations of racial profiling that have come from protesters of his special patrols at two Phoenix locations where day laborers gather and in Guadalupe. `We got other enforcement that we are doing, not just illegal immigration," he said. ``That's just a small part of our operation... We stop everybody. I'm an equal opportunity guy. I lock up everybody."

Barkley says he's frustrated that politicians won't do anything about illegal immigration, but that he admires the immigrants. `First of all, illegal immigrants are bustin' their behinds, they do the work that whites and blacks don't want to do, so that's what you've got to respect and admire," Barkley said on the Jay Lawrence Show on News/Talk 92-3 KTAR. "Asked about Sheriff Joe Arpaio's crime supression efforts in areas where illegal immigrants gather, Barkley said, ``As a black man, I don't think you can ever have racial profiling. I don't ever agree with that.''
Looks like DailyKos commenters have picked up on my daily posts and are now writing them on other political blogs. McCain needs to REFUTE Arpaio Now!

Will the McCain supporters speak out? Or remain hypocritically silent in their disgusting double standard?
What about the anti-Mexican racist Joe Arpaio of Phoenix, a fellow Arizonan and supporter of McCain? "
Here´s what Charles Barkley says about the heinous Arpaio:

Arapio will be elected the next Governor of Arizona.
ReplyDeleteHe is wildly popular among the good honest working folks
Arapio is responsible for higher wages for american workers of all races. He is a true multi cultural hero
Anon,
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Arpaio is a Racial Profiler out to gain himself national attention!
Shame on him and anyone who supports him!
Naming Herr Arpaio Gov is like naming Pat Buchanan president, lol like that'll happen, calling him a hero is like saying president Bush is intelligent, '08 when a dem is prez then Herr's like Arpaio will be flushed out of publish office
ReplyDeleteGeez, how many articles are you going to post about Sheriff Joe? This is about the 4th or 5th one in a row. You ARE obsessed!
ReplyDeleteEvery day I check the sheriff's report in our (mostly white) county. Yesterday there were people booked in jail for driving without a license, driving without insurance, and even fishing without a license. I had to chuckle at that last one. This is a county of over 500,000 people. If this happened in Arizona they probably be hysterical.

Had to make sure you'd believe me...lol
I like this sheriff. He is doing his job. Get a grip dee!
ReplyDeleteI think the ANTIs should be very angry at Arpaio.
ReplyDeleteWith posterboys like Arpaio, you will NOT persuade the majority of America nor many candidates for Prez to side with you.
Actually, Arpaio is bringing far more people to the PRO side. You should see the comments about Herr Sheriff when I write about him in other forums. They cannot believe he is still around!
He is a great poster boy! He is detecting illegal aliens and locking them up. If congress wasn't on our side, then why did CIR fail? Bush couldn't get an amnesty passed, what makes you think that any future president has that kind of power?
ReplyDeleteHate to burst your fantasy bubble but most Americans are on OUR side. The forums you go into that support your side don't mean squat as there are even more forums whose views reflect ours. Do dream on though!
Pat, If Congress or any of the candidates were on your side, WHY didnt any of your ANTI bills pass?
ReplyDeleteThe last CIR bill failed because Business and the Admin prefer status quo.
And Arpaio does look a little like you with the hair you say you have. So maybe he is just your posterboy Pat.
What anti bills didn't pass?
ReplyDeleteYou are wrong why CIR didn't pass, it had nothing to do with the status quo.
The Sheriff looks nothing like me.
He is the poster boy for enforcing our immigration laws. He is a loyal American.
I picture Herr Arpaio dancing to the It's Pat SNL Theme song, LOL, IT'S PAT!!!
ReplyDeleteI see you have created a sock puppet for yourself, dee/anon. We aren't stupid in here you know. Of course, it must be lonely for you in here because almost no one agrees with you and that is probably why you create your little sock puppets to back you up, lol.
ReplyDeleteOk, now for your denial dance!
Pat,
ReplyDeleteYou are the sole Arpaio Look Alike!
I have no need to post as Anon. That is why I created a Blog! So sad you are so solo Pat.
The facts are, Arpaio is a crazed Racial Profiler and he is making ALL of the ANTIs look worse than the current perception of them! He is NOT helping your side gain points with middle American.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I am solo in here? I have Ultima, Liquid, Dianne and one of the anons to back me up. Who do you have? Nothing but your fake sock puppets in here. No you are the "solo" one.
ReplyDeleteWhat the H are you talking about? How do you know what I look like? I already told you I look nothing like the Sheriff.
No, those are not the facts about the Sheriff. They are only the lies that you and your pro-illegal ilk spread.
ReplyDeleteIt matters not what he does or doesn't do anyway. We regular Americans can speak for ourselves and we want the illegals gone. How can one person represent the entire anti group anyway? You are reaching as usual here, dee.
The sheriff is enforcing the law, and his efforts are widely lauded bu many Maricopa County residents. All whining about so-called "racial profiling" is just another red herring tossed in the mix by open-borders scumbags and pro-Mexico kooks. 'Profiling' is a key part of good police work, Dee. If you can't find a clue then maybe you can buy one somewhere... other than from some MEChista punk, eh?
ReplyDeleteJoe's busting the bad guys (illegal alien parasites), fortunately. If you don't like it, LEAVE.
LOL! Bajarat you just made my day!
ReplyDeleteSorry Bajarat,
ReplyDeleteI listen to the mayors. They want the corrupt sheriff out.
Your name link takes me to the Dan Stein report. Are you Dan? Just curious. We partake in civil discussion dear and I am glad you joined us. As long as we keep it civil, maybe we can all learn something here.
TTFN
You are right dee, I think Bajarat can teach you alot. But you usually never listen to common sense or any thing that would ask you stand up and show your loyalty to your own country, the USA.
ReplyDeleteprojetor
ReplyDelete-your link goes to whatever it is in Spanish, not English. You are wasting your time because dee has admitted she is not bilingual, only English. Makes you wonder how she communicated with her own mother who never learned English. In addition,99.9% of posters on her blog are English speaking anti-illegal invasion people.
Hi Patriot,
ReplyDeleteI am just going to posted a video of some puppets for you to laughs.
And for Anonymous projetor link is not in Spanish is in Portugues.
Language which can be spoken by few Countries like Brazil, Portugal, and some middle east Countries. That's for your knowledge.
Anon,
ReplyDeleteFirst we will wait and see if Bajarat comes back and is able to discuss issues civilly. If so, then we will see who learns what.
are you kidding, the only thing BajaRat can teach is how to salut and yell SEIG HEIL!!! (plus his his/her name bajarat or Borat, lol)
ReplyDeleteand patriot, I am not Dee, can't you tell the difference between the quality of her writing compared to mine, she's a professional speaking for the ppl that can't defend them selves from the self rightous pigs who slobber and drool at the thought of: "OMG illegals, i must do something b4 they invade my home and the loss of my dream of living in MAYBERRY!!" You on the other hand have no life and must post hate comments
ReplyDeleteYou want civility? Well take a look at what your anon friend posted! Calling someone in here a Nazi and a pig is ok with you? Let's see if you give him a warning like you gave me. If you don't, you are a hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteanon, and you can go to hell! How dare you accuse law abiding Americans of being pigs or Nazi's!
ReplyDeleteYour smart assed remark about "Mayberry" shows just how much you hate White people and their culture. You are a racist pig yourself!
I do ask all people to remember we do have Civil discussions here. I know with the Arpaio discussions we have an increased level of passion related to our debates. I feel them too, especially when I see the effects of Arpaio´s actions on the children.
ReplyDeleteAnd Pat, please re read Anons comments. He included an analogy in his response and didnt outright call you a self righteous pig. I think the only name he calls you is Pat from SNL. (LOL)
dee, where do you suppose he would come up with the word "Mayberry"? I read a lot of blogs but don't post on many and I have never heard that word from anyone but YOU!
ReplyDeleteI call anyone a pig (ANTI) who brings down another human being and accuses them of invading when this countries founders were INVADING, we're all human beings looking to better our lives, this is America, LAND OF THE FREE, everyone should be welcome with open arms no matter race/creed to try and better their lives, the gov tries to trick you into thinking their taking your home/jobs/lives when in reality the gov officials are reaching into your pockets and stealing from you while your focus is on something else, stop the hate and racism, maybe if us LAW ABIDING citizens weren't so hateful then the 12 million illeeeeeeeeeegal (I love using Dee's lines) would come out of the shadows and register to become a citizen
ReplyDeletedee, you forgot the chastize your anon puppet for saying I have no life and post hate comments. Is that civility to you? Neither one of those things are true!
ReplyDeleteSorry Pat,
ReplyDeleteI am not going to chastise someone for telling the truth. You do post some hateful comments and even call me names. I dont say you cant. Lots on your side are very very angry for very questionable reasons. No one hates you or chastises you the way you rage and chastise the PROs. We PROs are all Loyal Americans who want Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
Pat,
ReplyDeleteI do use a lot of unique terms both here and in my worklife. Many people copy my same "corny" terms. (e.g: yikes, sheesh, and yes, Mayberrian, etc.)
for you Pat.. more of my corny terms:
ReplyDeletetsk tsk
illeeeeeeeeeeeeegal
yoiks, yikes,
sheeeeeeeeesh,
yep, yeppers (tx talk)
lots of IM speak:
TTFN, BTW, LOL, LMAO
using xx vs swearing
there´s lots more but they just come out when I talk (by accident).
BTW, this is how I talk out loud too.
dee, none of us anti's in here would have to make deragatory remarks if you weren't so blantantly ethnocentric an un-American.
ReplyDeleteOh, go visit some other forums and blogs and see how your precious pro's talk to the anti's. It is downright disgusting! It would be a real eye opener for you! But you know that already don't you, dee?
Pat,
ReplyDeleteWhen you made that last comment, I expected you to end it with "my precious."
BajaRat has nothing to discuss or debate with you (Dee) or any of you pro-lawbreaker dingbats. The law is the law, and Arpaio is enforcing it by busting these rotten squatters and getting them deported. These laws have been on the books for decades, so it's no big deal. The more of that border-hopping trash he removes the better. And no, BajaRat isn't Dan Stein nor is he affiliated with his organization.... his web site is a ghood source for news concerning your favorite criminals.

ReplyDelete"Yesterday there were people booked in jail for driving without a license..."
?? Holy cow, has no one ever left a drivers license, or their wallet at home? What a minor accident to cause a person to be ARRESTED!! Imagine how it would feel the one day you accidentally leave your wallet at home to be immediately deported from this country with no way to retrieve your identification to return to this country, and all the while being a native citizen. Does that clarify the issue at all?
