With no Evidence or Proof, Republican John McCain Blames the Wildfires in AZ on "Illeegals!"

John McCain (R-AZ) has officially "GONE OFF HIS ROCKER!" He says "illeegals" are to blame for the massive wildfires in Arizona. Although he has no proof or evidence, he makes these blatant claims.

At a Republican Press Conference, he said, "There is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by people who have crossed our border illegally. They have set fires because they signal others, they have set fires to keep warm, and they have set fires in order to divert law enforcement agents and agencies from them." However, McCain did not provide ANY evidence to support his claim.

On Sunday, Tom Berglund, a U.S. Forest Service spokesman, told ABC News that there is NO EVIDENCE that illegal immigrants had caused the Wallow fire. "Absolutely NOT, at this level,” Berglund said. "There's NO evidence that I'm aware, no evidence that's been public, indicating such a thing.”

Berglund did say, however, that the cause of the Wallow fire, now the largest wildfire in Arizona history, had been determined to be human -- specifically an “escaped campfire.” Two persons of interest (AMERICAN CITIZENS) were questioned, but no arrests were made.

Latino groups sharply criticized McCain for his remarks. "With the LACK of evidence, he might as well also blame aliens from outer space for the fires,” Angelo Falcon, the president of the National Institute for Latino Policy, told CNN.

Randy Parraz, whose organization Citizens for a Better Arizon, is trying to recall the senator who sponsored the state's controversial anti-illegal immigration law, called McCain's remarks “careless and reckless.” "It's easier to fan the flames of intolerance, especially in Arizona," he said.

When the AZGOP dropped SB1070 onto the heads of migrant and Latino communities, there were immediate calls for a boycott. Rep. Raúl Grijalva bravely joined the movement, putting his political future at risk but ultimately won his reelection in November 2010. Unfortunately, that election also saw a huge wave of conservatism sweep a veto-proof GOP supermajority into both the state House & Senate chambers. The agenda is now driven by the author of SB1070 himself, Russell Pearce (R-National Alliance), who was installed as Senate President in January.

When Pearce took the reins, he declared that Arizona would have the country's first Tea Party Senate.

That threat - and it is a threat - is becoming reality. Yesterday, the state's Senate Appropriations Committee became the first in the nation to advance a repeal of birthright citizenship for a full vote.
After a rocky start, the birthright legislation finally received committee approval on Feb. 22, overcoming the initial hurdle before the full Senate can debate and vote on the measure that is stirring so much raw emotion and is solidifying Arizona’s reputation as ground zero in the struggle to confront illegal immigration. By an 8-to-5 vote that hewed nearly along party lines, the Senate Appropriations Committee gave the green light to a two-bill proposal whose ultimate aim is to get the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit the issue of American citizenship, though critics question whether the judiciary would actually answer this exact issue and not dismiss the legislation on some other grounds. - AZ Capitol Times

Yesterday's hearing was packed with a passionate audience on both sides. Interestingly enough, the Chamber spoke out against the bill because they fear an even worse backlash than the one from SB1070, proving that the boycott is working. There's an opportunity to drive a wedge between them if an economic populist message starts entering the conversation as to why voters should reject the AZGOP's extremist agenda.

"Russell Pearce's vision for Arizona is killing jobs, etc etc" ...because it's clear that the moral argument falls on deaf ears in this state. Of course, it's vital that it continues to be made strongly, and it will.

There's really no end in sight to what these Tea Party bigots have planned for the state. From banning race-based abortions to saving the republic from the threat of healthcare for the poor, it's no wonder that Baja Arizona is starting to organize a secession of its own.

Racist Arizona has gone OVER THE TOP! Racist Gov. Brewer signed a bill to BAN the teaching of Cesar Chavez and other Latino Studies. RACIST! RACIST APARTHED in Arizona! The sponsor of the bill is state school superintendent Tom Horne. Horne is running for AZ Attorney General and he is USING THIS RACIST BILL to ride on the coattails of the racist, white supremist wave going on with white supremist voters in Arizona.

Horne's bill targets Latino studies, however the bill bans ALL ethnic studies, including African American and Asian studies. No more Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King or learning about the Chinese Exclusion Act as being the basis for establishing Immigration Laws in America. These classes were open to ALL students. Now they are BANNED from being taught in Arizona, thanks to racists like Horne, Brewer and the Republican Senate. From now on, students in AZ will NOT learn of racism, segregation, the trail of tears, or any type of oppression in American History. From now on in AZ they will only teach the ostrich approach of White Northern European studies from the White Supremist perspective.

Meanwhile, the BAN of RACIST Arizona Continues: On Wednesday, the Los Angeles City Council overwhelmingly approved a boycott of Arizona-based businesses and governments unless the state repeals the new immigration law. The city's legislative analyst reported that Los Angeles currently has $56 million in contracts with companies headquartered in Arizona. Several other California cities, including San Francisco and Oakland, have already adopted resolutions requesting city departments to not sign any new contracts with Arizona companies.
