Seeking the American Dream: The Life of a so called "Illeegal"

Brought here as children by their parents....the lives of the so called "illegal immigrants." They know no other country. Their crime: Seeking the American Dream! President Obama, please help them find their pathway to Citizenship!

In the 1980s, a young man in his 20's moved to Alaska. He was a Mexican National with no papers. His parents moved him to the U.S. from very poor economic conditions. The young man chose to move to Alaska to seek his fortune. He mirrored someone else's identity and chose the name Rafael Espinoza. Other than the name change, he always remained crime free. He soon married and had a child.

Still crime free, twenty three years later, in 2003, he applied for a job at the Anchorage Police Department. He even submitted for a Lie Detector test. He passed. Little did anyone know that as a small child, he was brought to the U.S. by his parents who did not have their permanent residency status. He had an exemplary career as a Law Officer from 2005 until 2011.

Then, in 2011, when he applied for a passport, his secret identity was discovered. Rafael Mora-Lopez. Regardless of his exemplary career as a Law Officer, he was found to be a so called "illegal alien." His boss, Chief Mew, during a press conference last Friday, described him as a hard working officer and very professional. Lopez was released on $50,000 bail and must wear a monitoring ankle bracelet. He is facing 10 years in federal prison, if convicted and then would be deported after serving his sentence, to a land he has NEVER known.

The Life and Adventures of Santa - The Illegal Immigrant!

I saw Santa last night as he layed gifts under the tree!

His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples so merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
He wore a sombrero and nice red suit
His white hair so fluffy, he looked very cute!

His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook, when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread;
He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings; then turned with a jerk,

Working so hard, Working to save!
Sending home dollars and always so brave!
I think he was illegal though I didn’t know for sure.
All I could see were his motives so pure.
No passport. No papers. He just dropped in.
I could hear the ANTIs say, “How dare him!!”

All the families received him just fine!
They embraced him and offered him wine.
I wondered if he heard all the rants!
Accountable for all illegals´accidents.

The Antis were angry! Would they post a website?
Would they call in Arpaio or ICE Raid tonight?
Thrown in a Detention Center with torture to bear?
Or jailed and forced to wear pink underwear?

I need not have worried. He was a wise man
This globalized guy. He did understand.
When he finished his work.
He filled all the stockings and turned with a jerk.
Then waving a finger, aside of his nose.
And giving a nod. Up the chimney he rose.
And as I heard him exclaim, as he drove out of site,
“Feliz Navidad to all and to all a goodnight.”

Immigration Debate Stirs Up Interesting Costumes This Halloween!

Halloween is just around the corner and retailers are taking advantage of the political atmosphere. This year, retailers are selling Minuteman and Illegal Alien costumes. Retailers are obviously speculating that Immigration Reform is on many people's minds.
The motives of costume wearers vary. Last Halloween, Derrick Donchak, one of the perpetrators of the Luis Ramierez - Kick in the Head Murder, wore a Border Patrol costume on Halloween. This came out during courtroom testimony. Imagine Donchak's motives for wearing this costume so soon after the murder of Ramirez. Pictures of Donchak in that shirt laughing tell the whole story.

In an article in USA Today, Immigration Rights Activists are asking retailers not to sell the illegal alien costumes. Why? One look at the illegal alien costume makes the answer obvious. This obviously Latino "illegal alien" has a big "Cheech" style mustache, ballcap and green card. Not only is this disrespectful, but it is racial profiling. Retailers, however, are not taking it off the shelves. Some say it is because it is a big seller. While some people are offended by the costume, others are having a field day, laughing and enjoying the attention. Good Ole Boy Willie Gheen, Alipac's head honcho, said he intends to buy the costume, and calls the reaction unfounded. "The only people getting upset are the hyper-sensitive, over-politically correct, pro-amnesty, illegal alien-supporting nuts," said Gheen. "You can't attack people's freedom in this country."
Obviously ole Willie has some comprehension issues. The PRO Voices have as much right to ask the retailers to stop selling as the Retailers have a right to say No. The PRO Voices also have a choice not to shop at their retail outlets. It's all a matter of choices.

Incidently, I advocate that Latinos wear the Ole Boy Minuteman Costumes this Halloween. I wonder what the Ole Boys in the Illegal Alien outfits will do if the Latinos in MM Costumes harass them at the Home Depot? Hmmmm.. Interesting Thought!

NASA Bombing Moon Friday Morning In Search of Water to Support Lives of Illegal Aliens On the Moon!

NASA is “bombing” the Moon tomorrow morning -- not once, but twice. The NASA LCROSS mission will slam a spacecraft into the Moon’s Cabeus crater at 7:31AM EST time on Friday morning (that's 6:31 Central -- Texas time).

The mission will happen in two stages: a rocket delivering the "bomb" will send the payload craft at close to 6,000 miles per hour into the moon crater. The delivery rocket, specially equipped to detect the presence of water will chase behind, fly through the debris cloud, and then smack into the crater approximately four minutes later. The hope is, that by kicking up enough Moon stuff into the “air,” scientists will be able to detect the presence of water that may be hidden just under the surface. The Moon's Cabeus crater was chosen as a likely candidate because it lives in the shadows and hasn’t seen sunlight in millions of years. It’s cold temperatures may have allowed for frozen water to remain locked away, whereas moisture exposed to the heat and light would have boiled off into space countless ages ago. It’s likely the moisture itself was delivered from violent impacts in the past, when ice laden meteorites crashed into the lunar surface.

So what’s the point? The discovery of water on the Moon may mean it can support life. Not life native to the Moon of course but it could help support HUMAN LIFE e.g. Illegal Aliens on the Moon! (Note to ANTIS: We are ALL Illegal Aliens on the Moon!)

A “Space Base” on the Moon may some day make use of the moisture for drinking water, and even splitting it into its constituent parts to make breathable air. If moisture is detected, NASA has plans for follow up missions to drill several feet into the Moon to get a better look.

Aside from being able to detect moisture, the chase craft is also equipped with high definition video cameras. NASA has an entire event planned, including a stream of the live footage. The event can be seen on the NASA channel on cable, or live at the NASA LCROSS website. It begins at 6:15AM CT. The debris cloud from the impact is expected to be large enough that it should be visible to the amateur astronomer with a typical hobby telescope.

Hedge Fund sends Racist Email to Investors!

Austin Capital Management sent an email out to a number of their investors with a picture of four Latino men, three were giving a thumb's up. The caption above and below the picture said, "Important tax reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes...muchas gracias!... 21 million illegal aliens are depending on you!" It isn't clear who the Latino men in the photograph were or where or when it was taken.

The next day, the e-mail made its way to members of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “The content of the email...is beyond offensive to the Hispanic community,” Frank Fuentes, chairman of the U.S. Hispanic Contractors Association, said in the statement. “Messages, such as the one sent out by [the company] serves to do nothing more than propagate fear and fans the fires of ignorance and hatred toward a group that toils tirelessly, in oftentimes underappreciated crafts, for the good of themselves, their families and for ALL individuals who call America their home.”
"It promotes people's hatred towards (all Latino) people who are here in this country and that are here to work to provide for their families," said Rita Gonzales-Garza of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). "People generalize and think that everybody who looks a certain way must be here illegally and must not be paying taxes and that's not true at all."

David Friedman, the Chief Operation Officer at Austin Capital Management, declined an on camera interview but sent a statement which in part says: “We sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by this e-mail. Neither Keycorp nor Austin Capital Management authorized or condones the insensitive content of the e-mail or its distribution. Please be assured we take these matters very seriously and will take appropriate action.”

Some commenters responded to this article with: "When does illegal alien become a race?" A commenter responded: ""illegal alien" becomes a race when you attach, according to the article, "a picture of four Hispanic males with a caption that reads “Muchas Gracias!"" And when people perpetuate stereotypes, the not-so-bright (i.e. Joe the Plumbers of the world) wrongfully generalize it to the Hispanic population as a whole.

Two interesting asides:
1. Austin Capital Management is a hedge fund manager that is currently being sued by investors because of the millions they lost investing with Madoff.
2. When a reporter called the sender of the email, she laughed. She thought it was funny.

ICE´s Con Air Jets Fly Illegal Immigrants Home

As the movie trailers say, "Welcome to Con-Air," only this time, it´s real! Migrant workers along side felonious, vicious criminals are flying the skies to their receiving locations.
ICE Con Air Jets fly aliens home
U.S. government runs an airline for inmates, illegal immigrants
By Tim Smith • CAPITAL BUREAU • August 17, 2008

The only passengers on the sleek, white jets are prisoners or illegal immigrants going home. The airline -- run by the federal government -- is one of the ways illegal immigrants caught in South Carolina are returned to their homelands. With a push to deport more illegal immigrants, the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System airline, which Hollywood moviemakers made famous in the 1997 film "Con Air," expects to be busy for years to come. A record 276,912 illegals were removed from the United States in fiscal year 2007, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Officials estimate passengers aboard JPATS flights will swell to 267,000 this year, up from 162,000 in 2002.
"It's the most safe, cost-effective way to move inmates and illegal immigrants throughout the United States," said Dorothy Zinnert, chief of scheduling for JPATS. The airline was formed in 1995, a merger between the air and transport services of the U.S. Marshal's Service and ICE. It now ranks as one of the largest transporters of prisoners in the world, handling more than 1,000 flight requests each day. And it remains the only government operated, regularly scheduled airline in the nation, officials say.
In addition to flying thousands of illegal immigrants, the airline also moves federal inmates between prisons or courts and contracts with state and local law enforcement agencies to bring back prisoners or fugitives.
While Hollywood may have made the name Con Air famous, Zinnert said the label was around for years before that. "We're the real Con Air," she said.
The process:
. an illegal immigrant is granted a hearing and the process can take months or years.
. When an immigrant is ordered out of the country, ground transportation takes him to a detention center or contracted local facility near the airport where they will be picked up.
. JPATS operates its flights out of Oklahoma City, Okla., with hubs in Alexandria, La.; Mesa, Ariz.; Anchorage, Alaska; York, Pa.; and the Virgin Islands, officials said. It's planes, however, travel to airports throughout the country.
. The inmates or immigrants get on and off planes away from an airport's public terminals for greater security.
. Deportees wear civilian clothes and get to bring one checked bag home, weighing no more than 44 pounds.
. They are restrained while on the flight and escorted by security personnel
. The government provides the deportees with food while on board. (sandwich, cheese, crackers, water, fruit)
. Each deportee is escorted down the stairs once they arrive in their home country. Once off the plane, they are met by their nation's federal immigration officers.

Angry Nutcase Tancredo tells US City of Brownsville: "I suggest you build this fence around the northern part of your city!"

Tom Tancredo lost his last marble.
Tancredo was an invited guest in Brownsville, Texas last week to discuss solutions to the issues regarding the Border Fence in this border city. Those constructing the Border Fence say it is not feasibile to build the wall along the existing border, the Rio Grande, and they were discussing optimum alternatives. Some of the alternatives included building the fence on US property (see map below). The residents voiced their concerns about this, which is logical, since their land is within a US city and they prefer not to be fenced off from the US. During the extremely confrontational debate, Tancredo, an invited guest, insulted the local Brownsville citizens when he angrily proclaimed, "I suggest you build this fence around the NORTHERN part of your city!"
Local Brownsville citizens were taken aback and some responded with boos and jeers to his outrageous remarks. (Note: Brownsville, TX is a majority Latino citizen city)
Some of the comments among the audience members included:
"I think he's just ignorant," said student Alexis Fruia. "He doesn't really know where we stand here."
"A congressman in the United States of America saying that about the same city in the USA, its just outrageous," said student Chris Martinez.
For the students and staff, his strong statements hit especially close to home.
"It might take some of our campus away and we've come a long way to have this university," explained Fitness Instructor Diana Rojas. "And that's just something that not just me, but a lot of people don't agree with it."
Fruia said the fence would complicate going to classes. "I go to school in the education building on the other side of campus and they were saying we were going to need a passport to go to class."
But, despite the controversy on campus, students and staff say they're glad even those with a different viewpoint on the border wall came to their school for the hearing.
"I was glad they were here to see campus and what was going to be destroyed by this border wall," explained Martinez.
Fruia agreed. "This is where I live, this is my background, this is my life," Fruia added. "Suggesting we're in Mexico? I live in the U.S."
Texas State Representative Eddie Lucio III said he doesn't believe they changed anyone's minds in the hearings Tuesday, he does believe that the Rio Grande Valley made a strong stand showing of unity against the border wall.

Calm Before the Storm - Outing the Secret Immigration Bills!

Of late, all has been quiet on the Immigration Reform front. Discussion Boards, both PRO and ANTI, have been quiet. Blogs have been quiet. There has been a significant amount of Political discussion, including here on my blog, but very little Immigration Talk.
For a while, I thought the quiet was due to the fact that all three candidates, HRC, BHO and JSM (John Sidney McCain), support Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR).
Then, I started thinking it could be due to the RNC controlled media focus being taken off of Immigration since the McCain nomination. We know that Fox and the AMJocks are funded by the Right. I still think there is something to this possibility or maybe, just maybe, this is the calm before the storm.
I am hearing some rumblings that new Immigration Bills are being documented in very hush, hush privacy. Some of these bills are PRO - CIR. Some of them are ANTI.
Here are two articles re some of these Hush Hush activities:
Immigration Becomes a Political Football (Again)
The question of border security and the threat to U.S. security is back on the table even as the Presidential campaign progresses to the next phases.
Senate Republicans plan to introduce a package of as many as 11 bills (could actually grow to 14) that establishes a hard line on illegal immigration. Even though experts consider it unlikely that these bills will reach the floor for debate, they reflect a move toward harsher immigration rhetoric and legislative proposals from both parties since Congress failed to pass a comprehensive overhaul in 2007. While some of the language in these possible pieces of legislation echo House bills, they go further. These bills include provisions to dock states 10% of their highway funds if they issue driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. Another bill would extend the presence of National Guard on the border and still another would curtail language assistance at federal agencies and the voting booth for people with limited English ability. Senator Jeff Sessions, R-Ala, one of the leaders of the Republican efforts is offering a bill that would impose a maximum two-year sentence for the second offense of crossing the border illegally. Other bills:
● Block federal funding from cities that bar their police from asking about immigration status.
● Give the Department of Homeland Security the authority to use information from the Social Security Administration to target illegal immigrants.
● Require construction of 700 miles of fencing along the Southern border, not including vehicle barriers.
● Impose sanctions on countries that refuse to repatriate their citizens.
● Deport any immigrant, legal or illegal, for one drunken-driving conviction.
● Enable local and state police to enforce federal immigration laws
Its clear that immigration remains a political football in this Presidential election year. This includes the possibility of giving Senator McCain an opportunity to endorse one of the tougher bills to help distance him from some of his previous positions. Posturing or not, maybe some real immigration reform and border security measures will emerge from this, even though its an election year.
Immigration: New bills, old borders
By:
David Rogers and Patrick O'Connor Mar 5, 2008 05:40 AM EST
For seasonal employers, whether crabbers in Maryland or grand hotels in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, the real calendar — not politics — makes the pressure very real and immediate.
Immigration reform is raising its head again in Congress, stirring old hopes and fears among Democrats and forcing Republicans to re-evaluate their tactics given the re-emergence of John McCain. Nothing is anticipated on the scale of the comprehensive immigration bill that collapsed in the Senate last year. But seasonal employers, such as the restaurant and tourism industries, are pressing hard for more H-2B visas for lower-skilled workers this summer, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has promised Hispanic lawmakers an opportunity to add provisions addressing concerns in their community. A third potential piece is a bipartisan bill introduced by Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) — with the support of fellow “Blue Dog” Democratic moderates — that takes a more conservative approach: beefing up border security and requiring employers to use a government database to verify that their workers are in the U.S. legally. By Jay Fraser on March 5, 2008 at 10:53 PM

I have two questions for my readers:
1. Do you think either of these secret proposals will have any chance of passing before the election?
2. How will this impact the Political Debate, given the 3 candidates support CIR?

Breaking News: Giuliani Makes Defeat Inevitable for the RNC by Accepting Robertson´s Endorsement

(actual image. no photo shop needed)
WASHINGTON — Evangelical Christian leader Pat Robertson on Wednesday endorsed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who has struggled to bridge some of his socially moderate policy positions on abortion and gay rights with conservatives.

The endorsement is a coup for the Giuliani campaign, especially after opponent Mitt Romney recently racked up two major endorsements from social conservatives.
Robertson on Wednesday said Giuliani is a "true fiscal conservative" who is tough on crime.
"It is my hope and prayer that he will lead the Republican Party to victory in November of 2008," Robertson said.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:
Will the vast majority of Evangelicals ever support Abortion and Gay Rights supporting Giuliani? (No!)

Will normal Americans ever support anyone who is supported by a nutcase like Robertson? (e.g.10 Stupid Quotes by Robertson) (No!)

More News against the RNC:
Brownback endorses McCain!
Will the ANTIs ever, ever support Comprehensive Immigration Reform McCain? (No!)

All Very Good News for the Left.

Swiftboating Governor Spitzer´s Plan

The Vast ANTI Conspiracy is busy trying to swiftboat Governor Spitzer´s DL Plan.

The inaccurate NY1 article says:
"Governor Eliot Spitzer says one benefit to giving licenses to illegal immigrants will be safer streets, but an author of a report the governor often cites in defense of his plan, says there is no proof this plan will make streets safe. NY1’s Josh Robin filed the following exclusive report."

The ANTI sites are busy picking up this incorrect-inaccurate article. Some of these sites who have quickly picked up this bogus article are the ANTI sites: Immigration Group Daily, The Voice, Alipac, and the conservative FreeRepublic. Even though this article just came out, you can expect many more ANTI sites will pile on in the hours ahead.

Here is my letter to the NY1 Editorial page:

Article: Expert Says There Is No Data To Defend Spitzer's License Plan

Josh Robin´s article was inaccurate and misrepresented the Governor and misrepresented Scopath.

Robin reported Scopath saying, "When I look at the data, what I see is folks like you and I,” said Scoptz. “It's young to middle-aged males, clearly residents or citizens of this country. It's not a huge population of illegal immigrants in the data."

From Scopath´s book "License to Kill 2", he did reference Undocumented Workers as follows:

"California’s experts on DWS and DWR and unlicensed drivers believe that the system, as it exists now, has too many incentives for not obtaining a license or reinstating one after a suspension. Unlicensed drivers are often doing so because they are undocumented aliens and/or because they cannot afford to meet the insurance requirements. Insurance costs are the reason most often cited for a driver’s failure to reinstate his or her license after a suspension."

Robin also misrepresented what Gov Spitzer said. Robin wrote: "Governor Eliot Spitzer has cited a AAA report showing that those driving without a license are more dangerous to fellow motorist, as a defense for his driver’s license plan." I found no such statement, although this statement accurately describes the "License to Kill" report.

What the Governor´s press release did say was:

From the Governors 9/21/07 Press Release:

The benefits of this policy change include:
Safer Streets: In its report, “Unlicensed to Kill,” the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that unlicensed drivers are almost five times more likely to be in a fatal crash than are validly licensed drivers.

Lower Insurance Rates: The State Department of Insurance estimates that expanded license access will reduce the premium costs associated with uninsured motorist coverage by 34% which will save New York drivers $120 million each year. Other states with similar policies have seen their auto insurance rates drop as well.

Safer Homeland: This policy change helps bolster homeland security by bringing more individuals into the system and, when necessary, assisting law enforcement efforts to locate those who present a real security threat.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of the Governor´s statements are accurate.

All logical people agree that licensing the unlicensed undocumented would make our streets safer.
