From NUMBERSUSA: House approves amendments to Homeland Security bill that increase interior enforcement and help secure the border Last night (Thursday), the House passed the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act of 2013, and with it, eight amendments with the intent to increase interior enforcement and secure the border were approved and added to the final bill. Under House Leadership of the last few Congresses, it's been tough to get recorded votes from the full House, but the DHS spending bill is annual measure we can count on!
In total, there were eight immigration amendments that we (Anti Latino Hate Group) supported, and you helped support with your phone calls to Congress on Thursday. We were only able to get roll call votes on three of the eight, but those three votes will have an impact on our Congressional Grade Cards.
The first amendment to pass with a roll call was offered by Rep. Ted Poe (R-Texas) and Rep. Jason Altmire (D-Pa.). The amendment would reallocate $10 million from the Office of the Under Secretary of Management to Border Patrol for the sole purpose of building cell phone towers on the Southwest border with Mexico.
The need for cell phone towers along the border came during the aftermath of the murder of Arizona rancher Robert Krentz who was killed by an illegal alien on his property that runs adjacent to the border in early-2011. Kretnz's wife, Sue, believes that her husband was trying to call for help when he encountered the illegal alien on his property, but he was in a cell phone dead spot. Krentz was represented in Congress by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords who authored a bill to build the cell phone towers. Reps. Poe and Altmire wrote the amendment based on the concept of the Giffords' bill. It was approved by the House on Wednesday night by a 302-to-113 margin with 81 Democrats voting with the GOP majority.
The second amendment to pass with a roll call vote was offered by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) and would PROHIBIT the implementation and execution of the Morton Memos. ICE Director John Morton wrote three separate memos in 2011 that instructed immigration agents to use prosecutorial discretion when they came in contact with illegal aliens. The memos prioritized criminal illegal aliens over non-criminal aliens and specifically protected illegal aliens that could benefit from the DREAM Act. The memos, in effect, offered an administrative amnesty to certain illegal aliens. The amendment passed the House on Thursday by a 238-to-175 margin. The vote was split along party lines - ALL REPUBLICANS AND 10 DEMS.
The final amendment to pass with a roll call vote was offered by Rep. John Sullivan (R-Okla.) and would PROHIBIT the Department of Homeland Security from TERMINATING 287(g) agreements with local law enforcement agencies.(MUST PARTNER WITH ARPAIO LIKE AGENCIES) The 287(g) program allows local law enforcement to partner-up with ICE and facilitates the training of agents so they can enforce federal immigration laws. In Pres. Obama's 2013 proposed budget, he removed all funding for 287(g), but the DHS spending bill added the funding back in. Rep. Sullivan's amendment was offered to prevent the Administration from ending the program by simply terminating all the contracts. The amendment passed by a 250-to-164 margin with support from 18 Democrats.
The other amendments to pass without a roll call vote include:
•Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.) and David Schweikert's (R-Ariz.) amendment to prevent funds from going to sanctuary cities. As the former mayor of Hazleton, Pa., one of the first cities to pass immigration-enforcement ordinances, ending sanctuary cities is a priority for Rep. Barletta and he also has offered legislation in Congress to prevent federal funding from going to sanctuary cities. It's important to note that this amendment would only prevent DHS spending from going to these cities.
•Rep. Diane Black's (R-Tenn.) amendment to prohibit the funding for a Public Advocate position within ICE. In February, the Obama Administration announced plans for this new position that would speak on behalf of illegal aliens. We believe that funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement should be used to enforce immigration laws instead of being used to advocate on behalf of illegal aliens.
•Rep. Chip Cravaack's (R-Minn.) amendment would keep criminal illegal aliens in jail until they're deported. Rep. Cravaack also offered this amendment last year, and it was approved by the House. Certain criminal illegal aliens who are awaiting execution of their deportation orders are, by federal law, required to be detained until deported. But two years ago, a criminal illegal alien who had been convicted of multiple drunk driving charges and had deportation orders was released. He got behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol and caused an accident that killed one and injured two in Northern Virginia.
•Rep. Sam Graves' (R-Ga.) amendment would prohibit funds from being used to implement or execute the "Provisional Unlawful Presence Waivers of Inadmissibility for Certain Immediate Relatives" rule proposed by DHS. (SEPARATE FAMILIES) The proposed rule was entered into the federal register earlier this year and proposes to allow immediate relatives of U.S. citizens to remain in the country while they await a waiver decision from DHS. Because the process to receive a green card for immediate family members can often be a lengthy one, some family members decide to enter the U.S. illegally and wait it out, however, they must apply and get processed for their green cards outside of the United States. When their number is called, they risk being detected by immigration agents when they leave the country, and that could result in either a 3-year or 10-year bar from entering the United States. In special cases, DHS will offer a waiver to the 3-year and 10-year bar, but this proposed rule would make most illegal aliens that fall under this category eligible for the waiver.
•Rep. Tom Price's (R-Ga.) amendment would prohibit funds from being used to circumvent the enforcement of immigration laws. This amendment was actually combined with two other amendments to create an En Bloc Amendment. These amendments are usually grouped together because they receive unanimous support from the House.

They want to STOP all other nationalities from coming into our Country, our Land of Immigrants. They not only want to Mass Deport ALL Latinos, they want to put WALLS not only on our Southern Border, but across our Northern, Eastern and Western borders and ports as well.

Watch the Commercial they put on during the 2012 GOP Debates. It was "NumbersUSA" Commercial. The Commercial said "Reduce LEGAL Immigration!"

John Tanton has long time been a sponsor of Roy Beck, the founder of NumbersUSA. The ADL has identified both FAIR and NumbersUSA as HATE GROUPS! FAIR and NumbersUSA are the same groups that sponsored Kris Kobach in writing the original racial profiling bill sb1070 in Arizona. Kobach trained Arpaio's volunteer masked goons in "How to identify an Illeegal!" Kobach helped draft the Hate Bill ANTI-Latino bills in Oklahoma, Alabama, Georgia and other states.

These HATE Groups believe they have made headway in demonizing and eliminating Latinos. Now they want a Republican President in place who will do their bidding and help them achieve their Ultimate Goal. Bachmann, Cain, Romney and Perry have all gone to Arpaio, kissed his ring and begged for his blessing!

Anti-Latino Hate Groups Behind ANTI-Latino Racial Profiling Bills; D.A. King Lobbyist in Georgia; NumbersUSA in Many States!

Georgia is now facing a severe Ag Worker Labor Shortage leaving crops rotting on the vine. They have one vile, racist zealot to blame for their troubles. His name is D.A. King. He is a Lobbyist with a special interest in Immigration issues. As I've recently reported, Georgia's xenophobic state legislature has passed a racial profiling bill (hb87) very similar to sb1070. Stuck in the courts, the fate of this racial profiling bill, HB87, is still unknown in the frenetic final days of Georgia's legislative session. This bill's heinous author, state Rep. Matt Ramsey, was spotted several times huddled in hushed discussions in the Capitol hallways with ANTI-Latino lobbyist D.A. King. Even though a judge last week temporarily blocked two provisions of the racial profiling law, King claims victory. He cited several parts that were not blocked, saying they "will greatly deter illegal aliens from attempting to take jobs in Georgia."

The evil King, 59, a smooth talking lobbyist, has been a permanent fixture at the Capitol for years, lobbying lawmakers and rallying like-minded, Anti-Latino supporters of phone and letter-writing campaigns. The bombastic, beefy, 6-foot-2 activist's approach is often confrontational, always loud and outspoken, making him a godzilla zealot among those who favor stricter immigration enforcement - and earning him plenty of enemies. His advice has been welcomed by some extreme right wing legislators, including state Rep. Matt Ramsey, a Republican in the lilly-white Atlanta suburb of Peachtree City who authored Georgia's strict measure. Ramsey said King provided integral guidance when drafting the new law, and he rallied supporters to pressure lawmakers with phone calls and emails.

"I can't think of anybody in my 20 years of working on this issue who has been more adroit in working inside the state Legislature to get legislation actually passed," said the extremist Roy Beck, executive director of the Anti-Latino Hate Group (per ADL)NumbersUSA, which pushes for tighter immigration control and Anti-Latino legislation across the country. Beck continues, "He's just kind of at the top of the heap nationwide in terms of local (Anti-Latino) activists."

Fair-minded Humanitarians say about King, "I think he works to push his agenda in a very divisive way," said Jerry Gonzalez, executive director of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials. "One has to look at who this man is. He is a convicted felon who is advising our legislators and our governor on very important policy matters."

The law breaking King brags openly about his felony conviction. He pleaded guilty in 1977 to a charge of interstate gambling, answering phones and picking up money for a criminal bookmaker taking bets in Alabama. King, a scam artist, claimed he had no interest in politics or activism and didn't vote in the early nineties. "What happened is when I started learning about illegal immigration, I went from being very, very shy to being very, very upset," claims the loud-speaking zealot.

King started hating Latinos, assuming they were ALL "illeegals" in the late 1990s. A large, Latino family moved in across the street from the house he shares with his wife in suburban Atlanta. Before long, he claims there were about 20 people HE SUSPECTED were in the country illegally living in the three-bedroom home. King claims their yard was full of old vehicles and parties disrupted the neighborhood. King complained to his local government about code violations but since they were not doing anything illegally, he received no response.

Then the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks marked the schemer's "aha moment." King said, "I realized if I could (make people believe I) have people living "illegally" across the street from me and there are people in the country who are flying planes into our buildings, this doesn't seem like a big effort at national security." Dollar Signs rolled in the schemer's eye sockets. That's when he began researching illegal immigration on an old hand-me-down computer from his brother-in-law.

King stopped working as an insurance agent in 2003 to devote himself full time to his scheme and held a rally at the state Capitol in 2003, the first of more than two dozen. He also was profoundly affected by five trips to the Arizona-Mexico border (with the scheming Minutemen who soaked millions of dollars from unsuspecting followers for a Fake Border Fence) between 2003 and 2006, he said.

King decided he was going to show the world just how angry Americans are about illegal immigration. Along with his followers, he showed up at the state Capitol in Atlanta in October, 2005 to protest. Trouble was, there were only a few dozen who showed up. King wasn't fazed. As The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quickly discovered, the long-time anti-immigration zealot found a solution immediately -- he paid $10 each to 14 homeless people from the neighborhood, handed them signs, and set them loose. He was PROUD of his scam. "I consider it very good use of the day labor laws," an unrepentant King boasted to the newspaper. "Yes, I paid them," he added to Creative Loafing, an alternative newspaper. "And I'm going to pay them again."

Lobbyist King is still "paying them" as he continues to push these hate-filled, anti Latino bills. He also continues to write to newspapers across the country spewing his opinions. He also writes for the White Nationalist group VDARE and has no apologies about it.
