Romney campaign chief Matt Rhoades said the Romney Campaign regrets the campaign’s hard stance on immigration and all of their negative rhetoric against Latinos, saying it was done mainly to counter the perceived ‘threat’ of primary challenger Governor Rick Perry of Texas.

My father taught us a very long time ago, NEVER accept welfare. NEVER accept handouts. The only way to be successful in life is to work HARD, every day.
We Latinos have a strong work ethic. WE have worked every day, all of our lives, since we were children. We NEVER take hand outs. We educate our children. We go to church. We believe in Family.

Hurricane Sandy Update: President Obama For FEMA, Romney Against FEMA!

We have a clear choice on Election Day next Tuesday and we need to understand each candidate's position before we Vote. Consider the needs of your family, especially if a Natural Disaster like Hurricane Sandy happens in your neighborhood. Do you want FEMA? Or Not?

President Obama SUPPORTS FEMA.  Mitt Romney OPPOSES FEMA.

During the campaign season (see the video) Romney said, “(FEMA) send it to states or the private sector.  (Disaster Recovery) We can’t afford to do those things. It is immoral in my view... We can’t afford to keep doing those things. They make no sense at all!” 

Can you imagine Romney as President telling future Hurricane Victims crying for help: "Take your concerns back to your states or to the private sector. We can't afford those things." What would Governor Christie or Governor Cuomo say to Romney? A State cannot handle the costs of a disaster the size of a Hurricane like Sandy or Katrina. Would they be satisfied with a bus load of canned goods when tens of thousands had their homes destroyed or left without power? Their local infrastructure destroyed?

Governors like Governor Christie (who said today on Fox News that he refuses to do a photo opp with Romney. He is too busy working with President Obama and getting his people cared for) or Governor Cuomo DEMAND FEDERAL HELP for their people. President Obama said to FEMA as they are providing HELP to the victims of Hurricane Sandy: "Do not figure out why we can't do something. I want you to figure out how we CAN do something. I want you to cut through the red tape; I want you to cut through the bureaucracy. There is no excuse for inaction at this point. I want every agency moving forward to make sure we are getting the resources where they are needed as quickly as possible."

He added, "I told the mayors and governors if they're getting no for an answer somewhere in the federal government, they can call me personally at the White House."

Romney's War On Women is Back with "Binders Full of Women"

Binders full of women? Romney's War on Women is BACK!
Romney was asked a question about Equal Pay for Equal Work for Women. Rather than answer the question (he never answered it), INSTEAD he hopped into a Time Machine and went back to the 1950s. Romney said he supports flex time for women so they can rush home to fix daddy's dinner. Then, his time machine landed him in the Looney Bin! He said when he was governor, he couldn't find any qualified women so he sent his staff out to bring him "Binders full of Women" to help him find a qualified woman to work for him. The man was Governor of Massachusetts, the home of the most prestigious universities and businesses. He said he didn't know of ANY qualified women so he sent his staff to bring him "Binders of Women."
Who talks like that anyway? "Binders full of Women." Was this some form of Affirmative Action -- the only way to find qualified women? "Binders full of Women???"
ROMNEY: Thank you. An important topic, and one which I learned a great deal about, particularly as I was serving as governor of my state, because I had the chance to pull together a cabinet and all the applicants seemed to be men. And I went to my staff, and I said, "How come all the people for these jobs are — are all men." They said, "Well, these are the people that have the qualifications." And I said, "Well, gosh, can't we — can't we find some — some women that are also qualified? And so we — we took a concerted effort to go out and find women who had backgrounds that could be qualified to become members of our cabinet. I went to a number of women's groups and said, "Can you help us find folks," and they brought us whole binders full of women."

Only today we find out this was a Lie. It was actually a Massachusetts Woman's Group that asked Romney to hire more women and Romney didn't know any. So they gave his staff this binder of resumes which Romney referred to as "Binders Full of Women!" Apparently, Romney, in all his years in Business or in government didn't know ANY qualified women.
The man is a misogynist. He wants to end Healthcare for Women (Contraceptives); demolish Planned Parenthood, Veto "Obamacare" and the Dream Policy on DAY ONE! And now he loves BINDERS FULL FOR WOMEN!! And he was extremely rude to debate moderator, Candy Crowley.

Debate Update: ROMNEY REGURGITATES HIS WAR AGAINST LATINOS!

Romney regurgitated his war against Latinos. In last night's debate he said:
1. NO Amnesty: Instead put in place mandatory (though flawed) e-verify system. Mass "Voluntary" Deportation. Eliminate "Magnets" including Drivers Licenses.
2. Called Undocumented Workers "Illeegals."
3. Streamline (Reduce) Legal Immigration giving green cards only to those who graduate from college with "skills we need." (Northern European Countries)
4. Lied when he said "I didn't say Arizona Law was a model law." President Obama reminded him that he did say this and that Kris Kobach who wrote sb1070 - the racial profiling bill, is his chief Immigration advisor.

Mitt Romney Cancels His Commitment to Appear on the View! The Big Chicken is AFRAID of Whoopi!

Barbara Walters announced on Monday's "View" that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney canceled his commitment to appear on the ABC daytime talk show. Mitt is JUST TOO SCARED! Romney had earlier announced he would visit the program in October after his "47%" video during a fundraising event was released through a secretly recorded video. This weekend Romney called the ABC talk show and cancelled! He claimed he had some schedule conflices, though we ALL know the Big Chicken is just afraid of Whoopi.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR IN NEXT 2 DEBATES: On Day ONE -- Romney Obliterating Health Care and Tax Deductions for the Middle Class and Poor!

During the debates, both Romney and Ryan said they will make changes ON DAY ONE that will significantly impact the Middle Class, the Elderly and the Poor.

1. VETO OBAMACARE: What most Americans don't realize is that many provisions within the Affordable Healthcare Act (ie: "Obamacare") have been in place since 2009 and Romney's VETO of "Obamacare" will ELIMINATE these provisions ON DAY ONE.

a. Pre-Existing Conditions Coverage Protection: --
(Watch for this during the debates)
THIS IS THE BIGGEST FACTOR that Healthcare Providers and Business Owners want to Eliminate. Romney LIED during the 1st debate saying his Plan would cover pre-existing conditions "just like Obamacare." This is a LIE and after the debate, Eric Fehrstrom, Romney's Top Aide, told CNN that Romney's plan would ONLY cover pre-existing conditions "for those who already have insurance." This means that millions of Americans today who are guaranteed with Pre-existing Condition Protection will LOSE IT as soon as Romney Vetos "Obamacare." The Romney/Ryan plan is to END THIS PROTECTION and hand-off the implementation of a privatized Healthcare system to States. States may determine whatever they want, no guarantees for anyone.This means that those with pre-existing conditions which is over 75% of seniors, will be forced to find a carrier that will provide them coverage and if Ryan's voucher system replaces Medicare, Seniors will only have a measly voucher to pay for their coverage. This is perhaps the most SHOCKING aspect to the Romney/Ryan plan.
b. Coverage for children 23 - 26: This has been in place since 2009 and it will be gone on day one of the Veto. Back in 2009, I remember my old employer griping and complaining about having to cover the 23 - 26 year olds. I can just imagine how quickly these employers will give these young folks (primarily college students) the Boot - as soon as Romney signs the Veto!
c. Closing the Donut Hole for Seniors on Medicare: Most Americans are unfamiliar with the donut hole. Seniors with medical conditions are very familiar with it. Prior to "Obamacare" seniors who required costly medications were forced to pay "out of pocket" for their prescription costs between  (approx) $2000 - $5000 (the Donut Hole). Starting in 2009, "Obamacare" started closing this hole by paying between 10 - 50% of these costs -- with plans to close the hole by 2020.
Remember, OVER 50% of seniors rely solely on Social Security and Medicare. Can you imagine how costly this was for them to pay for their prescriptions while in the Donut Hole? Many of them are forced to decide whether to take their medications or to eat. Most seniors view this coverage as a Godsend. Now, with the VETO, Romney/Ryan will take this coverage away!
d. Preventable Healthcare Coverage: Since 2009, Obamacare pays for needed/required preventative coverage including Colonoscopies and Mammograms. (So you thought this was covered by your insurance company out of the goodness of your heart??) Nope. That's Obamacare and that goes away on Day ONE of Romney signing the Veto.

2. REDUCE FUNDING FOR MEDICAID: On Day One, Romney/Ryan plan to cut Medicaid by $750 BILLION. This means that MILLIONS of Seniors will lose their Medicaid coverage. These Seniors are the Most Vulnerable! These are the sick, disabled elderly, many in Nursing Homes.

3. Cut Taxes for Rich by 20 percent ($5Trillion) without causing the US Govt revenue. He can only do this if he Eliminates Tax Deductions that impact the Middle Class and Poor:

a. Mortgage Income Tax Deduction: This is the favorite deduction of the middle class. This deduction benefits all home owners -- primarily the Middle Class. These are deductions to buy, build or improve your home.

b. Family Tax Credit: This is the favorite deduction for Working Families -- most are Middle or Lower income families.

If Romney/Ryan are elected, the elimination of these Tax Deductions will IMMEDIATELY and DIRECTLY Impact ALL Middle and Lower Income Americans.

LISTEN FOR ROMNEY REFUSING TO NAME THESE DEDUCTIONS DURING THE NEXT TWO DEBATES. ROMNEY CONTINUES TO PLEDGE HE WILL CUT TAXES FOR THE RICH BY 20% BUT HE REFUSES TO NAME THE DEDUCTIONS HE WILL CUT TO PAY FOR THEIR PLEDGE. THE ONLY WAY HE CAN FUND HIS PLEDGE TO THE 1 PERCENTERS IS BY TAKING MONEY OUT OF OUR POCKETS!

VP Debate Update: Ryan ADMITS his Plan to Change Medicare, Social Security and MEDICAID! Plans to THROW GRANNY FROM A CLIFF!

During last Thursday night's VP Debate, Paul Ryan finally admitted two things (which Romney has been avoiding):
1. The Romney/Ryan plan will change Medicare to a Voucher Program -- to occur in 2016.
2. The Romney/Ryan plan will significantly REDUCE Medicaid and leave it to the States to provide the significantly Reduced Coverage -- to occur IMMEDIATELY.
It is critical for the American Public to understand what this means. Romney has refused to state these positions publicly. Now, Ryan has OUTED their Agenda.

Most Americans DO NOT want to think about what will happen when they become Senior Citizens. I spoke to two young Romney voters this week. My (barbie type niece) said she was voting for Romney because he was "cuter" than Obama. My 30ish Yuppie friend said he was voting for Romney because he said he believes the country should take a new direction and he believes in the "tax cuts for the rich - trickle down" theory (Fox News watcher) -- as if that has ever worked. Of course he cited Reagan, but I had to remind him that Romney RAISED TAXES 4 Times! Barbie said, "I'm glad that Romney's discontinuing Medicare and SS cause I'm tired of paying my money for lazy people."

Medicaid: Ryan said Romney's plan is to CUT MEDICAID ON DAY ONE! On today's post, I'm going to talk about Medicaid.

As many of my long time readers know, after I retired from my Process Engineering job at a large Communications company in 2009, I became a Consultant working for Medicare Enrollment and Retiree Investment Corporations. As a consultant, I have learned so much about the retiree experience. I purposely sought out these jobs because, now that I am in my 60's, I wanted to learn more about the Senior Citizen experience before I enter into it.
As a Medicare Consultant, I learned that over 50% of our Seniors rely solely on Social Security and Medicare for their existence. They have no other source of income. I learned that a large number of Medicare recipients are Dual Eligible - meaning they recieve both Medicare and Medicaid. Many of them are in Nursing Homes.
Not long ago, I spoke with a woman whose Aunt was in a Nursing Home. Her aunt had been a teacher her entire life and enjoyed being self reliant. Throughout her career, her aunt was healthy, independent and saved much of her income, planning for retirement. She had a considerable nest egg when she retired at 65. She had accumulated over $750,000. In her early retirement she traveled around the country and across the world. However in her late sixties, she became ill. At first she was ok. She had medicare to take care of most of her medical expenses. However, in her seventies, her health took a turn for the worse. She needed daily care. At first, a nurse came to her home a few days a week. Then she needed daily help. Then finally, she was unable to take care of herself at all and it was necessary for her to be placed in a care facility -- a Nursing Home.
Her niece helped her find a nicer facility but it was very expensive. Soon, her aunt depleted her entire retirement savings and the monies from the sale of her home. Her niece said to me, "It only took a little over a year. You would be surprised at how quickly the money runs out.  The nursing home cost was $10,000 a month. This did not include the Medical or Prescription Drug costs, this was only the Nursing Home costs."
Statistics tell us the average daily cost of a private room in a nursing home in the United States is $120,000 a year.
Once her aunt's savings were depleted, her niece helped her apply for Medicaid to help pay for her Nursing home costs. Her Aunt would not have been happy with the turn of events. She spent her life being so proud of her ability to save and being independent. This was only SEVEN YEARS since she had retired thinking she had plenty of savings to take care of herself until she died.
Her niece told me it was difficult applying for aid from the government. She had to prove that her Aunt had depleted her savings, lost her home and had no other sources of income. Her aunt would have been humiliated by the extent of what her niece had to do -- providing so much documentation, filling out so many forms, make call after call, making sure all requirements were met, all so her aunt could receive Medicaid. "I had to jump through hoops for her just so she could receive the aid she so direly needs. She would have hated it. Like so many others, she thought Medicaid was a handout. But she paid her taxes and worked all of her life. If anyone deserves this, my Aunt certainly did. She was such a good person. She helped me, her students and so many other people all of her life."
Her niece told me one other thing. "I know that I did all that I could to find a nice place for my aunt, but it is really like so many others. My aunt needs the daily care, but what is so mind boggling to me is how much the Nursing Home costs. It costs $10,000 a month and the place has only One Nurse. It's really the minimum wage Care Workers that are providing my aunt all the support she needs."

The bottom line is: Ryan ADMITTED on the stage on Thursday that a Romney/Ryan ticket will CHANGE Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid as we know them -- and Medicaid ON DAY ONE! Most Americans DON'T UNDERSTAND THE IMPLICATIONS!!! Ryan Romney PLAN TO THROW GRANNY OFF A CLIFF!

Romney/Ryan's Plan to Cut Taxes for the Rich and Decimate the Middle Class and the Poor

A Romney-Ryan presidency would mean higher taxes for the middle class, out-of-pocket health expenses for current seniors, fewer college loans and fewer health care options for young people, and the re-introduction of corporate outsourcing tax loopholes that have sent so many jobs overseas.

When we take a close look at the economic and tax agenda of Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan, we see how their policies would affect the way 99 percent of Americans live and work. The price tag includes:

■Middle-class Americans would pay more in taxes while millionaires pay less. Millionaires would receive an additional $87,000 in tax breaks under the tax plans of Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan while middle-class families would pay up to $2,200 more in health care taxes and $1,066 more in taxes on their mortgages.
■Jobs would decline across the country. Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan plan to provide extra tax incentives for corporations to outsource jobs and are pushing policy proposals to cripple the clean energy industry, jeopardizing 95,000 jobs across Florida alone.
■Drastic cuts to federal spending would shrink Florida’s middle class. The state stands to lose more than $117 billion in federal funding from 2013 through 2022, an average of more than $11.7 billion a year, from cuts to schools, law enforcement, highway repairs, job-training programs and more. These cuts would fall predominantly on middle-class and low-income families, especially cuts to education programs that would result in nearly $361 million in reduced federal support for education and job training in the state in 2013 and $834 million in 2014 alone.
■Seniors in Florida would lose health care benefits and pay more. Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan would force seniors in the state to pay at least $632 more for their prescription drugs each year. At the same time, the Romney-Ryan plan to turn Medicare into a voucher would cost current seniors at least $11,000 more out of pocket.
■Women in Florida would pay more for health care but receive less bang for their buck. Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan would once again allow insurance companies to charge women more than men while taking away preventive care from 2.5 million women in the state.
■Young adults in Florida would lose access to their families’ health insurance. Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan promise to dismantle Obamacare, which would directly result in 224,000 young adults in Florida losing the insurance they have today due to the Affordable Care Act.

The Romney-Ryan plan asks the vast majority of Americans to pay more, and then spends this revenue not on balancing the budget but rather on more tax breaks for the richest Americans.
Gov. Romney’s top direct donor would receive more than $2 billion in direct tax benefits from under the Romney-Ryan plan, while a typical police officer in Tampa earns $57,490 a year and would see their taxes increase by $1,480. These lopsided priorities are not a coincidence or a cruel joke. They are the logical extension of a trickle-down economic policy that failed under President George W. Bush but would be revived by Gov. Romney and Rep. Ryan.

President Obama and Vice President Biden, in contrast, believe that economic growth comes from a strong middle class, rather than being passed down from the wealthiest. They have passed and seek greater investments in education, job-training, infrastructure development, and scientific research and development to boost our nation’s long-term economic competiveness, coupled with targeted cuts in government spending and the end of the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans to bring the federal budget deficit under control.
The Republican contenders for the White House have tried to avoid details, but have nonetheless gone on the record with proposals that have enormous consequences for the economy, taxes, women’s health, health care, and energy security. THESE ARE THE FACTS.

Like so many TeaParty Republicans, Romney supporter Blake la Beck displays his blatantly RACIST view against our President Barack Obama. la Beck has this display of Clint Eastwood's OBAMA CHAIR with a "Black Man Hanging Noose," his view of what Black People like most to eat -- 2 Watermelons, and a sign asking our President Obama to "Go Back to Kenya" on a teleprompter stand. This RACIST REPUBLICAN DISPLAY is in la Beck's front yard next to a "Romney for President" sign. la Beck acknowledged he put up the display and he said he sees NOTHING wrong with "it" (diplaying HIS RACISM so blatantly).

Why did they send him out "among the people" during the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac? Did they think he would perform better than their ole boy Prez W Bush?

How is he supposed to react when a regular person, even a regular WHITE person, comes up to him in an emergency and asks what she should do when her house is under water due to Hurricane Isaac.

Let's think logically.
Romney DOES NOT KNOW how to respond to regular people.
He has "PEOPLE" who do those types of interactions for him.
He has "PEOPLE" who interact with the underlings, the little people.
It is not HIS job, as CEO or as PERSON IN CHARGE to deal with the Little People.
Why don't Romney's underlings know this?

THE REPUBLICAN SUPREME COURT’S RULING ON SB1070: WHAT ROMNEY WOULD LIKE TO SAY!

The Republican Supreme Court has upheld the Racial Profiling aspect of Arizona’s sb1070. La Bruja Jan Brewer and Arpayaso are laughing and gloating about it. Yet, Mitt Romney is very, very quiet. So are his cohorts. Though Romney isn’t saying anything, here are my thoughts on what Romney is saying privately to his Tea Party extremist Right Wing base:

“Shhhh… let’s not aggravate the Latino base. Let’s not say a word. (wink wink) I know our Republican Supreme Court has passed the best part of sb1070. Now, Sheriff’s like Arpaio can racially profile ALL the Mexicans, all the Brown People, anyone of color because OUR Supreme Court said so. ”
Romney continues: “Our Republican Sheriffs are going to take sb1070 into high gear, especially during Election Time. We are going to scare the hell out of ALL LATINOS who dare to vote. We’re going to stop everyone in the car. We are going to ask their kids for their papers. We are going to make them so nervous, they will be very afraid, they’ll be afraid to leave the house. They’ll never vote.”
Romney laughs: “If any of them try to vote, OUR VOTER SUPRESSION LAWs will really STOP THEM from Voting. We won’t let them use their College Ids or their Medicare Cards. If they don't have OUR Official Ids, like Gun Permits, then we will make them drive 20 or 30 miles into non-Latino neighborhoods so they can try and get them (Good Luck!) We’ll have them running scared and hiding. With No Vote, Who Cares What the Hell they Do!”
Romney finishes: “Like I’ve been telling you! My plan is to VETO Obama’s Dream Act on Day 1. My plan is to force ALL 11M of those illeegals out of the country by making them Self Deport themselves. My plan is to Make them take their kids with them. My plan is to Change the 14th Amendment so that their spawn are No Longer Citizens.”
Romney Concludes: “Tea Party and Extremist Republicans, my pledge to you is to STOP the Census Bureau’s prediction that OUR USA is going to be Majority Minority in 2030. Nope. Not on OUR Watch. We are going to make it so difficult for those Beaners to be here that ALL of them, including the Legal Ones, Self Deport themselves OUT OF OUR COUNTRY. Once we get rid of the Beaners, we’ll target the Blacks and the Asians…. Majority Minority? Not on my watch!”

Romney Hiding From Previous Statements About Vetoing Dream Act! Right Wingers Up in Arms Against Dream Policy!

Watch this Video. A few months ago, while he was still pandering to the far right crowd, Romney brazenly stated that if he was elected President and if President Obama passed the Dream Act, he would VETO it on his 1st day of office. Since President Obama announced his Dream Policy, Romney - who has been attempting to pander to Latinos, has been ducking questions on whether he will VETO the President's decision. On this morning's "This Week with George Stephanopolous, Tim Pawlenty claimed Romney never said it. These Republicans forget about videos when they try to etch a sketch their lies.
We all know the Republican's agenda. Romney said he wants all 11M to Mass Self Deport themselves. That's on video too, but Pawlenty forgot that comment as well. 
In fact, most of the right wingers are ANTI Latinos and against the Dream Act. They strongly support the racial profiling bills like sb1070.
Right now, many of them are up in arms against the President's new DREAM policy. Romney's Immigration Advisor Kris Kobach is angry. Kobach said the new policy is “illegal” because it violates a section of the 1996 Immigration Reform Act. “What the president is describing is a policy that we will refuse to initiate deportation proceedings,” which Kobach said goes against current law.
HINO Marco Rubio is rescinding his Bogus DREAM Act proposal. As we all know, his Bogus proposal would have never been introduced due to the hate-filled rhetoric of Anti-Latino Republicans and it was merely Rubio's attempt to pander to Latino Voters.


To be expected, Arizona Republican Governor (La Bruja) Jan Brewer calls the Dreamer Policy "Outrageous" and "backdoor amnesty." Racial Prsaofiler Arpaio has denounced it.
Republican former Prez Candidate Rick Santorum said President Obama was "arrogant" and this was a "grab for power."
Nutty Republican Sarah Palin said our President was "pandering."
Zealot rep. from Iowa Steve King said the policy "meets the definition of amnesty."

For these Republican zealots who are opposed to this new policy, President Obama said he called on Congress Friday to send him a bill that would address the issue. "I've said time and time and time again to Congress, send me the Dream Act, put it on my desk, and I will sign it right away," he said. "Both parties wrote this legislation."

Forgotten Dream: Romney Fails to Mention Dream Act to Latino Audience!

In the past, Mitt Romney has said he supports finding a solution for undocumented students. But you wouldn't know it from his Wednesday speech on education to Latino business leaders, where the issue went untouched, forgotten, leaving some audience members concerned that he simply doesn't have a plan.

Romney has been flip flopping on the Dream Act all year. He said in January that he would VETO the current version of the Dream Act, which passed the House and was defeated by Republicans in the Senate in 2010.
In March, he flipped and said he could support other efforts to help the Dreamers, including an ambiguous bill proposed by Republican Sen. Marco Rubio with NO path to citizenship for the students.

However, Romney AGAIN FLIPPED in April saying he wasn't supporting the proposal, instead he told reporters, "I'm taking a LOOK at his proposal; it has many features to commend it, BUT it's something that we’re (just) studying,”

Flip Flop Romney's failure to mention the Dream Act, or similar legislative efforts, wasn't the only missed opportunity to discuss education issues important to Latinos. Romney also did not address the education gap between Latinos and students in general, an issue his campaign and the Republican National Committee have highlighted in outreach efforts.


The Romney campaign did not respond to requests for comment on why the candidate's speech skipped these important issues.

Iowa Results, my observations and what the Blogs are saying:

Democrats:
The Dems brought out twice as many supporters in the IOWA cacuses vs the GOP. It is a clear sign Americans want a change!
Obama: 38% The Clear Winner! His message: CHANGE! As he approached the podium last evening, he hugged his wife and children and began his powerful and passionate speech, "We are choosing hope over fear. We're choosing unity over division, and sending a powerful message that change is coming to America. " I noticed he was surrounded by many young people of many ethnicities. They were all energized, like a pep rally. Afterwards, the old blowhard Chris Matthews was just gushing about Obama´s speech. The MSM loves Obama!
Edwards: 30% . Number 2. A good showing. His wife introduced Edwards before he talked to his supporters last evening. She looked very tired. I felt sad for her. Edwards did a good job with not much money.
Hillary: 29%. A disappointing Number 3. Hillary´s message to her troops, "We've got more work to do." Behind Hillary stood Bill, Chelsea and Madeleine Albright. The supporters in the background all had gray hair. They all looked exhausted, especially Bill (who clapped with just the palms of his hands, like his hands were burning) and Madeleine. You gotta give it to Madeleine. She is 70 years old and still out there, plugging away. Watching the three speeches all in a row made the comparisons so obvious. The nomination is going to go to Obama unless some huge scandal blows him out of the water.
The Dropouts: Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, soon -Dennis Kucinich. It appears they are passing their supporters on to Obama. Speculation is Richardson will drop out after the next one. It appears he will be passing his supporters on to Obama. Gravel should have dropped out long ago.

Republicans:
Only brought out half as many supporters as the Dems! America wants a change!
Huckabee: 34% The Clear Winner! I watched his speech afterwards. Chuck Norris and his wife stood directly behind Huckabee. They both kept bobbing their heads and trying to soak up the camera throughout Huckabee´s speech. Huckabee´s poor wife looked lost. She barely got an acknowledgement from the old man. His wife seems like a nice, older woman. Not a trophy wife like Thompson, Romney or Kucinich have. Huckabee should be bringing her to the forefront and treat her as a partner, not leave her off to the side! The ANTI sites are just seething about Huckabee´s win. They blame the win on the Evangelicals who "don´t listen to anything the ANTIs are saying on their blogs!" I think its only a matter of time before Huckabee falls down the rabbit hole.
Romney: 25%. For all the money that Romney spent in Iowa, this was a very, very disappointing 2nd place finish, especially considering the overall low showing by Republican supporters and virtually no support from Independents. Some bloggers are blaming Romneys "loss" on his negative ads.
Thompson and McCain: 13%. Tied for 3rd Place. There are blog rumors that Thompson is dropping out but Thompson´s team denies this. The ANTI sites are angry that McCain is getting any kind of support. They also blame the Evangelicals who don´t listen to anyone and will do what they want.
Paul: 10%. Coming in 4th surprises the MSM. His supporters may be wacky, but they are very loyal and they give money. For the GOP, it is still anybody´s game.
Guiliani: 4% and Rudy does not care. His entire campaign is predicated on chaos lasting until late January, when he thinks he can clobber his rivals in Florida. Some of the MSM are predicting, based on Iowa results, that Guliani´s strategy is working!
Hunter: 1%. Last!! His supporters blame his poor showing on the MSM. Whatever the reason, he should just drop out.

Soap Opera Politics Vol 1, Issue 2

Both sides are slinging the mud now! Here is what I am seeing:

Dem Frontrunners:
John Edwards: The "love child" rumor has died down on the Blogs. The Nat´l Enquirer (N.E.) has taken this story off its front page. My guess is the so called witnesses were not reliable and the threat of lawsuits have scared off the N.E.
Obama: The ANTIs are posting some ugly rumors about Obama´s loyalty to America. First, it was his middle name, then the lie that he did not put his hand on his heart during the Pledge. Now they are yammering about his church being an "African" "Black Only" church with no loyalties to America. Good thing all of this rhetoric is falling on deaf ears!
Hillary: It has been somewhat quiet. News of Bill eating more and spending lots of time in diners. I still say I think the Republicans want Hillary to be the Candidate. I think they think they have the best shot of beating her.
. CNN & MSNBC are reporting all 3 Dem candidates are in a dead-heat!

Republican Front Runners:
Huckabee: The ANTIs hate "The Huckster" or "Schmuckabee" (their pet names for him). They are angry at Gilchrist for endorsing him. They call his Immigration plan "resurrection of the flawed touch-back" process.
Both PRO and ANTI bloggers are making fun of "Huck" for his missteps regarding the Bhutto assassination. They reported he didn´t know much about geography (now what countries border Pakistan?) or their religions (who is the majority, Sunni or Shia?) and Huck saying we should be worried about Pakistanis coming over the Mexican border. With all sides ganging up on him, I think it is just a matter of time for him now. He may get a few votes in Iowa, but after that, its over!
Romney: Besides all of the Flip Flopper and Mormon talk, some PRO bloggers in the blogosphere are reporting Mitt´s Dad George was born in Mexico. (Some ANTI sites are trying to squelch this rumor, even though it is a fact). George was born in a Mormon colony on Mexican soil that his parents had fled to for sanctuary. "In the 1880s, as a precondition to granting Utah statehood, the United States government enacted laws to put a stop to the Mormon practice of polygamy. Those who continued to practice this principle were forced underground as federal marshals roamed the territory searching (massive sweeps - deja vu all over again!) for "polygs." In response, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints looked for safe places to send its members; many found refuge across the border in Mexico." For now, all of this talk is under the radar, but you can be sure, if Mitt becomes the GOP candidate, it will be one of the headlines.
Guiliani: Affair, Divorce, Marriage, Funds, Unethical Business Practices, Shady Friends, ANTIs hate his past stance on Immigration, plus he dressed like a girl. He has it all, most of it old news, but still very relevant! Word is Giuliani's entire campaign is predicated on chaos lasting until late January, when he thinks he can clobber his rivals in Florida
McCain: McClatchy is saying Giuliani (5%) is the big loser in the polls while McCain remains steady at 13% . However, there is so much hatred for McCain on the ANTI sites that I don´t see him as a viable GOP candidate.
Ron Paul: Even though, as I reported on my blog, Ron Paul made an idiot out of himself on "Meet the Press" and he is far behind in the polls (a mere 5% - GOP candidates), the facts are, he has raised LOTS of Money and his followers are very loyal. He has ANTI followers, Republicans, Dems and Independents. Many pretty wacky. Given the fact that the top three candidates are all skating on thin ice, it is still anybody´s game.

Come the Convention, will NEW GOP Candidate be considered?
