Racist TeaParty Republican Introduces "ENGLISH ONLY" Bill and Says Diversity is Illogical!

WASHINGTON -- Racist Teaparty Republican Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said Thursday "diversity has never been America's strong suit, so lawmakers should pass his ENGLISH ONLY bill in the name of unifying the nation."
The racist said: "One of the great things about America is we've been unified by a common language. That common language, of course, is English. Our language is getting subdivided by some forces of the federal government. It is time to speak ENGLISH ONLY."
Nutcase King talked to reporters just after the House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on the Constitution held a hearing on his measure, which would require all federal government communications, including voter and ballot materials, to be conducted in ENGLISH ONLY. His proposal would also nullify a Clinton-era requirement that federal agencies provide interpreters for non-English speakers for certain activities.
King said he is not a racist. King's view of a NON DIVERSE SOCIETY in his bill is aimed at "bringing the country together. After all, diversity has never been America's strong point."
"The argument that diversity is our strength has really never been backed up by logic," nutcase King said. "It's unity is where our strength is. Our Founding Fathers understood that. Modern-day multiculturalists are defying that."
During the committee hearing, Democrats said King's bill violates the Constitution and impedes voting rights. "Having already spent an extraordinary amount of committee time and resources in an effort to roll back the civil rights of women, persons with disabilities, gay and lesbian Americans and other minorities, our majority colleagues are now using the last day before the House adjourns until September to highlight a bill that would place at risk the 24.5 million people in the United States who need language assistance from their government in some situations," said Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.).
Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.) gave his opening remarks entirely in Spanish -- with imperfect pronunciation to make the point that our country has always been a multilingual one.

Meet Kris Kobach, Mitt Romney's Immigration Advisor and the Reason Latinos will NEVER Support Romney!

Anyone who is familiar with the Immigration Debate knows Kris Kobach. In Immigration Circles, Kobach is known as the Architect. Kobach has worked with key state legislators, like Alabama state Sen. Scott Beason, and municipal authorities, like notorious Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, in drafting and polishing dozens of restrictive immigration laws. He's written parts of Arizona's sb1070 and Alabama's HB 56. As a 2004 congressional candidate, Kobach received campaign contributions from John Tanton's wife's US Immigration Reform PAC and former Colorado Rep. Tom Tancredo's Team America PAC.

Kobach is also Mitt Romney's Immigration Advisor for his Presidential Campaign.

Kobach is a dangerous character. Not only is he the chief architect in Romney's "Self Deportation" policy, which in reality, is a precursor for right wing extremists' Mass Deportation initiatives, Kobach is also leading the charge for changing Birthright Citizenship - the 14th Ammendment of the Constitution. Kobach wants to change the Constitution so that Immigrant Children will NO LONGER be Citizens. Instead he wants them to be children with NO COUNTRY -- as has happened in Germany when they changed their Birth Right Citizenship laws. He and his cohort Roy Beck from NumbersUSA are also advocating the reduction of Legal Immigration. They want to reduce the number of LEGAL Immigrants from Latino countries and other countries they deem not worthy. Instead, they advocate massive reductions to Legal Immigration and put in place policies so that only those they deem worthy are eligible to immigrate to the U.S.

It is critical that we keep ourselves informed of who Romney is cozying up to and what Romney and all candidates for President are proposing if they are elected. If we are not careful and Romney or another Republican is elected, many of the proposals currently advocated by the likes of Kobach, Numbers USA, F.A.I.R. and John Tanton may, in fact, become law.

10 Facts about Kobach:
10. Kobach is a lawyer for the anti-immigrant law firm Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI), the legal arm of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Both of these organizations were founded by the white nationalist, John Tanton, whose legacy has been hard to shake. FAIR has solicited and received money from the Pioneer Fund, a foundation that finances pseudo-scientific ventures attempting to prove the genetic superiority of white, European-descended peoples.

9. During his ill-fated 2004 Congressional campaign, Kobach accepted $10,000 from the US Immigration Reform PAC. The PAC was founded by Mary Lou Tanton, the wife of white nationalist John Tanton, the architect of the modern day anti-immigrant movement.

8. Kobach often defends accusations of bigotry by noting his mission trips to Africa through his church. His church, according to Religious Dispatches, is “part of the Anglican Mission of the Americas.” This is sponsored the extremely homophobic Church of Rwanda. Religious Dispatches goes further, detailing comments made by the Church of Rwanda’s former Archbishop who “likened homosexuality to moral genocide.”

7. Kobach’s work at IRLI has also led him to write and defend anti-immigrant ordinances in small towns across America. In many cases, these ordinances have cost the towns millions of dollars in legal fees, with the bill going to the town’s residents. The increases in taxes to help fund the ordinances defense don’t really fall in line with the “fiscal responsibility” the GOP has prided itself on.

6. Kobach was recently fined $5000 for inaccurately reporting campaign funds. Instead of accepting the fine and moving on, Kobach started spouting conspiracy theories, blaming “anti-conservative bias among some members of the commission.”

5. In 2009, Kobach was hired by notorious Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to train his deputies in immigration matters. The Department of Justice recently released a report on Arpaio’s office which concluded that the office’s “discriminatory treatment of Latinos reflects a general culture of bias within MCSO.”

4. While working with IRLI Kobach has helped to draft two of the harshest anti-immigrant laws in the country, namely Arizona’s SB 1070 and Alabama’s HB 56, two laws that have stripped the basic civil and human rights of immigrants and people of color in those states. While Kobach has proclaimed total victory, these laws have proven to be extremely divisive.

3. Kobach has frequently spoken of his desire to “restore the original meaning” of the 14th Amendment. The original meaning in Kobach’s eyes would be an end to birthright citizenship in the United States, an issue that Romney has not taken a stand on as of yet.

2. Kobach is a former Department of Justice employee who created a program titled the “National Security Entry-Exit Registration System.” The program “required individuals from more than 20 predominantly Arab countries to register with the government on arrival and departure from the U.S.” It was abandoned in 2011 after years of criticism for its discriminatory policies.

1. Kobach defended the Apartheid policy in South Africa in a 1990 book. He stated, “Clearly, reform has become the clarion call of so many businesses because it is seen as a means of achieving stability. Yet, strict Verwoerdian apartheid enforced with an iron fist can also be seen as a route to a more stable South Africa. ”

Racist Tea Party Republican Doug Lamborn calls Our President a "Tar Baby!"

Emboldened by the phony debt ceiling political theater, a little-known teaparty Republican from Colorado put himself in the National Radar! Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colorado called our African American President a "Tar Baby!" I was SHOCKED when I first heard his words. How could ANYONE, even a Teaparty Republican, do something SO BLANTANTLY RACIST?

Lamborn made the comment during an interview on a Denver radio station about proposals to raise the nation's debt ceiling in exchange for spending cuts. "Even if some people say, 'Well, the Republicans should have done this or they should have done that,' they will hold the president responsible," Lamborn said. "Now I don't want to even have to be associated with him. It's like touching a tar baby and you get, you get it (to Teapartiers), you know (what he means) ... you are stuck and you are part of the problem now and you can't get away."

Racist and Disrespectful! Tar Baby - worse than the "N" word!

From Disney wiki: The term "tar baby" is viewed as a negative connotation revolving around African Americans. The controversy of the Tar Baby, and other issues relating to race, has plagued Song of the South from being released on home video or DVD in the United States.

It is clear that Racist Lamborn was sending a wink and a nod to his racist Tea Party supporters. Once this was publicized across the media, Lamborn offered a half-hearted apology: "I regret I chose the phrase 'tar baby,' rather than the word 'quagmire."

What a LAME Apology from such a Racist Nut! He should have said, "I am sorry I outed my racist self by saying in public what I say to my Tea Party friends in private!"

I hope Lamborn resigns soon! His racist stench is stinking up the political arena! Good Riddance!

Racist Alabama State Senator Vows to "Empty the Clip" on Latino Immigrants! (These Insane Comments after the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords!)

HP Reports: Alabama state Sen. Scott Beason, a Republican, reportedly made eyebrow-raising remarks over the weekend, calling on members of his party to "empty the clip and do what has to be done" in order to address (primarily Latino) illegal immigration, which he regarded as a problem. According to the Cullman Times, Beason concluded a fiery speech on the issue with the extreme language at a Republican party breakfast. His comments come in the wake of the tragic shooting in Tucson, Arizona. Beason accused Democrats in his home state of intentionally neglecting to tackle the immigration issue. He alleged his colleagues on the other side of the aisle were motivated by a belief that "when more illegal immigrants move into an area, when their children grow up and get the chance to vote, they vote for Democrats."

Later in his speech, the Alabama Republican warned that failing to confront illegal immigration could "destroy" local communities in the state. In a phone interview with the Gadsden Times on Monday, Beason said that his "empty the clip" reference was taken out of context. The Alabama-based outlet reports: He said he had told his audience an Internet-circulated joke about how you can tell the political beliefs of a liberal, a conservative, and an armed Southerner who are confronted by a mugger in New York City. According to Beason, what he said "makes perfect sense" if it's "all taken in context." He reportedly added, "Anyone sitting in the meeting completely understood it and I'm a little bit surprised that it left it hanging out there."

Republicans (Party of No!) Delaying Passage of START (resulting in Nuclear Proliferation) to Continue their Own Agenda!

On Meet the Press this morning, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ) made it very clear that Republicans prefer to push their top two agenda items (1. Tax Cuts for the Rich; 2. Defeat Obama in 2012) even if it means risking Nuclear Proliferation.
Kyl said he would not vote for the passage of the new START Treaty in the upcoming vote during the Lame Duck session. His excuse: "We don't have enough time." However, his argument is bogus. It ignores the fact that the treaty has already been exhaustively vetted. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee conducted 18 hearings and five briefings and the Obama Administration answered 900 submitted questions during the committee's process this summer. In September, with a bipartisan vote of 14 to 4, the committee recommended ratification of the treaty. It would only take two to three days for the Senate to consider and vote on ratification. The START I treaty had only 5 days of Senate floor debate, the SORT treaty two days, the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty two days and the Chemical Weapons Convention two days.

Republican Kyl has shown a real unwillingness to get the ball rolling with respect to START. He clearly is attempting to make this a partisan issue and is instead promoting continued tax cuts for the top 2% of richest Americans.

Republican Kyl continues to lead the charge for the "Party of No!" Weeks prior to his appearance on "Meet the Press," Kyl demanded that the administration include additional funds for nuclear weapons modernization as part of the overall package. When the White House acquiesced, his complaints about the measure focused on the need to ensure U.S. nuclear weapons deterrence. Those concerns have been called overblown by the treaty's defenders. But as the clock has continued to tick, both Kyl and others in the GOP tent have been handed another reason to drag their feet: a closing window for consideration in the lame duck Congress.

The possible derailment of the Senate ratification of the new START treaty signed by President Barack Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in April may be devastating. If a handful of primarily Republican U.S. senators succeed in their efforts to block ratification of the New START treaty this year, we face losing Russia's support and partnership for tough sanctions on Iran and securing all nuclear materials globally so they don't fall into the hands of terrorists. The nuclear terrorism is the most urgent threat we face today and locking down all nuclear materials is a national security imperative. But without Russia's cooperation in those goals, an effective international effort may be impossible to achieve.

On Meet the Press, Kyl would NOT address his reasons for opposing this vitally needed treaty. Kyl sneered when he talked saying he needed more time and Harry Reed's "pushing so many other initiatives in so short a time." His sneer was largest when he spoke of his opposition to "Don't Ask Don't Tell" and "The Dream Act" during the lame duck session. His sneering reflected his extremely ANTI Gay / Latino biases.

Later in the program, Kyl was asked about his cohort, Mitch McConnell's quote "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president" (not the Economy, Jobs, the American People) Kyl laughed and said it was just political.

The START Treaty is supported by Secretary of Defense Robert Gates; Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen; high-ranking members of the Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, H. W. Bush, Clinton, and W. Bush administrations -- including such national security experts as George Shultz, Henry Kissinger, James Baker and Brent Scowcroft; the current commander and seven former commanders of U.S. Strategic Command and the entire current U.S. military leadership. Admiral Mullen said the treaty "allows us to retain a strong and flexible American nuclear deterrent.... I believe, and the rest of the military leadership in this country believes, that this treaty is essential to our future security.... I hope the Senate will ratify it quickly."

Given the stakes and urgency for our national security, our Senators should be able to spare two to three days to consider and vote on the New START treaty before they break for the Christmas holiday. Certainly, a ratified new START treaty would be ample reason to celebrate the New Year.

LATINO CITIZEN ALERT: America's Most Racist Congressman Steve King Vows To Take On Birthright Citizenship

Latino Citizen Alert: BE AWARE! BE READY TO PROTECT OUR LATINO CITIZEN CHILDREN! ALERT YOUR CONGRESSMEN! REGISTER TO VOTE AND VOTE!!!
HP.com Reports: Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), fresh off of a massive GOP victory earlier this month that is looking likely to make him a key pilot of the next Congress's immigration policy as likely chairman of a House subcommittee on immigration, recently explained how he plans to take on his bête noire, birthright citizenship.

Here's what (Racist) King opined to the Des Moines Cityview about his (intended) plans to repeal a clause in the 14th Amendment that overturned the landmark Dred Scott case and promised American citizenship to freed slaves: "The framers did not consider the babies of illegals when they framed the 14th amendment because we didn't have immigration law at the time so they could not have wanted to confer automatic citizenship on the babies of people who were unlawfully in the United States," King said. King wants Congress to pass a ban on "anchor babies," place it in statute, and wait for the other side to challenge the prohibition in the courts. If King and his forces lose, they'll move for a constitutional amendment to change the practice, he said. (LATINO & HUMANITARIAN ALERT! KING INTENDS TO MOVE FORWARD WITH THIS! WE MUST STOP THIS, AT ALL COSTS!!!! ALERT YOUR CONGRESSMEN!!! STAND STRONG! REGISTER TO VOTE AND VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION!)

Such plans (BY KING) signify a willingness to embark on the incredibly onerous task of amending the Constitution, a process that would require ratification by two-thirds of Congress and three-fourths of state legislatures. But according to the Cityview, King believes that the issue warrants such an effort.
King opined that the framers of the amendment intended to include exceptions in the its wording, "including [of] certain Indian tribes and babies born to ambassadors or visitors." That's why they included the phrase "subject to the jurisdiction thereof," said King, who recently appeared to argue that undocumented immigrants were simply not subject to U.S. law. King won't be alone in the venture, as some have predicted that the Republican-controlled Congress -- which has representatives on both sides of the debate -- will attempt to tackle the contentious issue as soon as it convenes in January.

Senate GOPers have been also been outspoken about opening the 14th Amendment to review. Senators Kyl (Ariz.), Graham (S.C), Coburn (Okla.), Grassley (Iowa) and McConnell (Ky.), among the most powerful Republicans in the chamber, have all come out against birthright citizenship. (LATINOS: REMEMBER THIS ENEMIES LIST!! REMEMBER TO VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE!!!)
On the state level, legislators in at least 13 states have begun drafting legislation that would seek to remove birthright citizenship guarantees from their specific laws.

Racist Republican Rep. Curry Todd Says Latinos "Multiply Like Rats!"

Tennessee State Rep. Curry Todd took his dissatisfaction with the birthright citizenship clause in the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to a strange level this week, when he suggested that pregnant immigrants will "multiply" like "rats" if they are not asked about their citizenship status. During a discussion about procedures for approving patients for health care access, Todd asked a panel of prenatal health care officials if they require potential patients to show proof of citizenship in order to be accepted for treatment.

One woman then explained that such a process is not necessary -- and is in fact prohibited -- because unborn children will become United States citizens upon birth. "There's a technical guidance letter that states that, for covering the unborn child, we are not permitted to determine citizenship because the child, once born, is a U.S. citizen," the woman explained.

"They can go out there like rats and multiply, then," Todd responded.

According to the Associated Press, Rep. Todd later agreed that he had used harsh wording.

"I was actually wrong, and I admit when I'm wrong," Todd said, before clarifying that he should have used the term "anchor babies" instead -- presumably in an entirely different sentence. He then qualified that statement, however, by saying that the issue is actually a serious concern that needed to be addressed. (WATCH HIS SMUG, RACIST SMIRK IN THE VIDEO!)

Latino AZ Congressman Raul Grijalva Under Racist Attacks by Republicans and unknown ANTI-Immigrant Forces!

Latino Arizona Congressman Raul Grijalva has been under attack by Republicans and unknown ANTI-Immigrant forces. Grijalva's Tucson, Ariz., office was evacuated Thursday when a staffer opened an envelope containing a plastic bag of white powder and two pieces of paper with swastikas written on them.

In June, a Phoenix man was indicted for threatening to assault, kidnap and murder Grijalva and his aides. In July, a bullet was fired into Grijalva's Yuma office shortly after he reversed his call for groups to boycott Arizona because of its new immigration law.

Now, Republican (I'm a Maverick/I'm NOT a Maverick) McCain's Senate campaign funded an ad against Grijalva that is running around the clock in the seventh district, an unusual move that drew complaints from Democrats that McCain was violating his own campaign finance reform rules. And McCain is now sharing office space with Grijalva's opponent, subletting a chunk of his Tucson headquarters to the cash-strapped campaign of novice candidate Ruth McClung.

McCain may have general personal and ideological differences with Grijalva, but he also has a quite specific local objection to the congressman. McCain backers have long sought to mine for uranium near the Grand Canyon. Grijalva has stood in the way. He is on the short list to be Interior Secretary and is chair of the House Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands. His opposition to the mining included holding a field hearing in Arizona to explore its environmental consequences. Grijalva successfully lobbied the White House to temporarily block the mining. At Grijalva's field hearing, Utah Rep. Rob Bishop, the ranking Republican on the subcommittee, called the Obama move "tyranny."

Shortly after Grijalva's hearing, McCain and Arizona Sen. Jon Kyl, the number two Republican in the Senate, sent a letter to Grijalva defending the right to mine in the area. Sam Stone, a McClung spokesman, said that the campaigns are not working in coordination. "We're not working together," he said. "We're simply sharing space that was available on very short notice. Obviously we didn't have a lot of resources or funds until really within the last month." Stone said the campaign had no office until roughly four weeks ago and is paying half the rent.

The McClung campaign, in its first money bomb, used a RACIST doctored image of Grijalva that plays on racial stereotypes, depicting him with a long mustache. (Stone said that no offense is meant by the image and that it was a play on the exaggerated mustache Grijalva uses in his own campaign literature.)

Utah Extremists Upset Over Prayer in Spanish! (1st the Illegal List! Now Upset over Prayers!)

KSL.com reports: HYRUM, Utah (AP) -- The Hyrum City Council is being criticized for allowing the closing prayer at the city's Fourth of July program to be given in Spanish. Councilwoman Stephanie Miller was in charge of coordinating the city's Independence Day celebration. Miller said she didn't intend to offend anyone, but wanted to accommodate the nervous Spanish-speaking pastor asked to deliver the prayer. Maria Montalvo, of Hyrum's Church of God Ebenezer, asked if the prayer could be offered in Spanish and translated into English. "She does speak some English, but she was uncomfortable with standing in front of everyone and speaking English," Miller said. "She asked if we would mind if she did it in Spanish, and we didn't see that there was a problem with that as long as it was translated."
The decision has been criticized as unpatriotic and wrong in a flurry of recent letters to the Logan Herald Journal. One letter, from LaVon G. Hanson, a World War II veteran from Logan, called for the city council to be "impeached and sent to Mexico."

Councilman Paul James said he was surprised to hear the Spanish prayer but didn't think it was inappropriate, "because listening to the prayer, it was very patriotic." Miller said she has apologized to some critics, but does not regret the decision. Still, she said she won't have the prayer offered in Spanish next year.

And while some have suggested that the city bar prayers of any kind at the patriotic program, Miller said that won't happen. "We are Americans (and have) freedom of religion," she said. "We're not forcing anybody to participate that doesn't want to."

Guest Voz: Patrick Young - Long Island Wins: Proposed AZ Anti-Immigrant Law Would be WORST in Nation! (Racial Profiling)

Guest Voz: Andrew Young - Long Island Wins
Proposed Arizona Anti-Immigrant Law Would Be Worst In Nation
Passage this week of a bill aimed at immigrants by both houses of the Arizona legislature will impose new hardships on Latinos living in the state. The bill makes anyone who entered the United States illegally a criminal guilty of state trespass.

An analysis of the bill by the
ACLU details problems likely to result:
"It gives local police officers authority to investigate, detain and arrest people for perceived immigration violations without the benefit of proper training, exacerbating the problem of racial profiling and raising concerns about the prolonged detention of citizens and legal residents. "

The damage this bill will do to police/community relations is incalculable. The bill overturns local policies preventing police from asking crime victims and witnesses about their immigration status. Police have repeatedly said that they cannot work effectively in Latino communities without guaranteeing the confidentiality of immigration status of thos cooperating with investigations. Another provision of the bill requires police to investigate the immigration status of any person they have reason to believe may be in the country illegally.
