IMMIGRATION REFORM 2013: BORDER ENFORCEMENT CAN NOT BE USED AS A MEANS TO RACIALLY PROFILE LATINOS!

“Border Enforcement” has been used by the far right as a means of controlling and racially profiling the Latino Community. A clear example of this is Arizona’s racial profiling bill “sb1070.” Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer deputies have routinely racially profiled Latino communities since 2006. “sb1070” was written by Kris Kobach from F.A.I.R. – the group created by the infamous racist John Tanton.
Kobach and FAIR have written and sponsored other racial profiling bills all across the country, from North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Oklahoma and Utah.  These laws inspired by Arizona's SB 1070 invite rampant racial profiling against Latinos, Asian-Americans and others presumed to be "foreign" based on how they look or sound. They also authorize police to demand papers proving citizenship or immigration status from anyone they stop and suspect of being in the country unlawfully.

I’m going to lay this on the line so everyone understands. FAIR, Kris Kobach and the far right use
“Border Enforcement” as Code Words for the racial profiling of Latinos. These laws are the new Jim Crow laws. Anyone who supports these “sb2070” laws knows this. These laws are strongly supported by the Tea Party and the Far Right. Latinos know this.

Regardless of what else you hear about Immigration Reform, the PRIMARY REASON THAT LATINOS DON’T VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS IS WE LATINOS KNOW THAT REPUBLICANS SUPPORT THESE “BORDER ENFORCEMENT RACIAL PROFILING BILLS” AND WE REFUSE TO BE RACIALLY PROFILED – TO BE TREATED AS SECOND CLASS CITIZENS!

If Republicans hope to receive the Latino Vote, then they have to CHANGE and STOP these Racial Profiling bills. This means SO MUCH MORE than just including verbiage into these bills saying “this bill will not allow racial profiling.” The sb1070 bill says this, but it isn’t true. Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer deputies CONTINUE their Suppression Sweeps through Latino neighborhoods. They continue to harass and arrest innocent Latino Citizens.

How can the committee resolve this/stop this Racial Profiling? The bill must contain verbiage for the 11M to immediately come forward and gain some type of legal status. No one is asking for immediate Citizenship for the 11M. However, allowing them to come out of the shadows and, as with the current Dream Policy, allow them to register themselves so they no longer have to live in fear will HELP Border Security.  That way, the actual border can be protected and this massive racial profiling will end. Additionally, Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer squad HAVE TO BE STOPPED.  The Bill has to positively state that “Suppression Sweeps” of Latino Neighborhoods WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Volunteer Posse’s in ski masks stalking cars driven by Latinos WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Vermin Infested Detention Centers, Green Bologna, Pink Underwear, Parading Latinos in chains – WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! Racist Language including: “Anchor Babies,” “Illeegals,” “Mass/Self Deportations,” “Changing the 14^th Amendment” WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!

It is time for Americans of Latino descent to stand up for ourselves and demand Equality. Our country should live the words of the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men/women/every ethnicity are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”

Joe Arpaio Heads to Trial July 19; Court Says Racist eMails Proving Racial Profiling are IN!

Joe Arpaio will finally face justice. More than four years after it was first filed, and more than three years since the American Civil Liberties Union lodged its amended complaint in the case, the big racial profiling lawsuit against Sheriff Joe Arpaio -- Melendres v. Arpaio -- will finally go to trial this summer. U.S. District Court Judge G. Murray Snow has scheduled a seven day trial to begin July 19.

Snow ruled on various motions before him, the most significant being the admission of scores of letters from bigoted Maricopa County residents to Arpaio complaining about Latino Spanish speakers, day laborers, and the presence of Mexicans (Brown People) in general. The exhibits in question also include internal MCSO e-mails containing various vile, racist jokes and pictures targeting Mexicans.

Arpaio's lawyers asked that the exhibits not be admitted. Without any discussion, Snow denied their motion saying "Sample communications from the public include requests that MCSO conduct special operations in Sun City because the writer heard employees of a restaurant speaking Spanish, that MCSO operate in Surprise because the writer observed `dozens of day workers' there, and that it send officers to Mesa because the writer observed day laborers, `most of whom, I would believe to be here illegally.' Subsequently, MCSO conducted special operations in the locations specified in the communications." (Racial Profiling PROVED!)
In other words, Arpaio and his masked volunteers conducted their "Suppression Sweeps" (Apraio's term) because those that emailed Joe saw too many Brown People speaking Spanish so they must be "Illeegal."
Now, Judge Snow has ruled that ALL of these racist emails will be read before the court. This will PROVE, once and for all, IN COURT, that Arpaio and his masked volunteers are GUILTY and will be held accountable for ALL of their Racial Profiling and Abuse against Latinos.

Arpaio Admits Guilt by Destroying Records! He's Going Down! Feds have him on the ropes!

HP Reports: PHOENIX -- A judge overseeing a lawsuit of racial profiling in Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration patrols issued punishments against the agency on Friday for its acknowledged destruction of records in the case. The punishments issued by U.S. District Judge Murray Snow came in the form of "adverse inferences" against Arpaio's office that the judge may consider when deciding the case's facts.

The judge, for instance, may assume that among the destroyed documents were citizen complaints - some of which were racially charged and didn't allege actual criminal activity - that requested immigration patrols in spots where the sheriff's office later conducted patrols. Tim Casey, one of Arpaio's lawyers, said he expected the ruling. "I thought that the judge, given the facts, was very fair in his evaluation," he said.

The judge had found grounds in February 2010 to sanction the sheriff's office for throwing away or shredding some records of traffic stops made during Arpaio's immigration patrols, but held off on actually imposing the punishment until Friday.
(Citizen) Latinos who filed the lawsuit have said Arpaio's officers based traffic stops on the race of Hispanics in vehicles, had no probable cause to pull them over and made the stops so they (masked goons) could inquire about their immigration status. Arpaio has denied the racial profiling allegations, saying people pulled over in the patrols were approached because deputies had probable cause to believe they had committed crimes and that it was only afterward that deputies found many of them were undocumented immigrants.

During the patrols Arpaio calls "suppression sweeps," masked volunteer deputies flood an area of a city - in heavily Latino neighborhoods - over several days to seek out traffic violators and arrest other offenders. Undocumented immigrants accounted for only 57 percent of the 1,500 people arrested in the 20 sweeps conducted by his office since January 2008 - while Latinos taken into custody and made to PROVE their Citenship (drivers licenses were NOT allowed) accounted for up to 100% of those arrested!

Under other sanctions issued Friday, Snow said records suggested officers didn't follow a zero-tolerance policy requiring them to stop all traffic offenders and that the documents would have included a higher number of LATINOS arrested than records documenting ordinary patrol activity.

Some sheriff's officials have acknowledged deleting their emails about the patrols and throwing away and shredding officers' records of traffic stops made during the sweeps. The sheriff's office LIED and "said" the destruction (of the documents PROVING racial profiling) was an honest error that sprung from a top official not telling others in his office to preserve the documents.

The office ADMITTED the traffic-stop records (EVIDENCE) were thrown away after supervisors tabulated statistics from them and that thousands of other documents have been handed over. Those records completed during the sweeps contained the number of contacts with the public, criminal arrests and civil citations, and provided a short narrative section where officers can briefly summarize arrests or other incidents.

Some sweeps-related emails that were thought to have been deleted by the sheriff's office turned out to have been saved by the county when it was discovered that the county had backed up emails by the sheriff's office as part of a routine document-preservation step in an unrelated lawsuit. (THIS IS WHERE THE FEDS HAVE ARPAIO AND HIS ASKED GOONS! THEY HAVE BACK UP COPIES OF THE DELETED EMAILS PROVING THEIR RACIAL PROFILING!!) ARPAIO IS GOING DOWN!!

A Latino man, Ernest Atencio - 44 (an American Citizen) being booked into a Maricopa County jail early Friday remains in critical condition today. Unfortunately for Atencio, Phoenix police brought Atencio in for booking at 3 a.m. on Friday. During the booking process, Maricopa County sheriff's officials (masked goons) SAID Ernest was "abusive" and "combative", which "forced them" to use "defensive efforts" to beat him into a coma.

On the heels of a report by the U.S. Department of Justice condemning the MCSO for engaging in "discriminatory policing" and blasting its treatment of Latinos in and out of its jails, this report of this "Beat Down" of a Latino Citizen by Arpaio's Masked Goons offers more proof of the DOJ report's findings.

BREAKING NEWS: Feds CHARGE Arpaio with Civil Rights Violations and Racial Profiling Against Latinos!

The Department of Justice (DOJ) released the results of a three-year investigation of Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his Masked Goon Squad. They concluded what we've been telling you all along. Arpyao and his deputies are the ones who've been breaking law.

According to the DOJ's investigation, Arpaio and his Goons routinely discriminate against Latinos and retaliate against anyone they view as their enemy. This is in violation of both the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act.

Thomas Perez, assistant Attorney General for the DOJ's Civil Rights Division, says the investigation uncovered rampant widespread racial profiling. "Our experts found that Latino drivers were four to nine times more likely to be stopped than similarly situated non-Latino drivers." Perez added Latinos were often stopped without cause. "This case involved the most egregious racial profiling in the United States that he had ever personally observed in the course of his work."

Federal investigators made two more critical findings regarding the Maricopa County sheriff's office.
1. An illegal pattern of retaliation that comes straight from the top of the department. "People opposed to the department's policies were frequently arrested and jailed for no reason or forced to defend against specious civil complaints or other baseless charges." Those retaliated against include local government officials, attorneys who raised the specter of discrimination by the sheriff and even some reporters in the community.

2. Arpayaso's Detention officers (goons) rampantly and maliciously punish Latino inmates, particulary those with accents, for failing to immediately respond to commands in English. The goons REFUSE to accept grievance complaints written in Spanish and they routinely FORCE Latino inmates to sign English-language forms that could waive their constitutional rights without offering translation help.

In the sheriff's jail, for example, detention officers invoked offensive slurs and profanities against Latinos, calling them "wetbacks," "Mexican bitches," and "stupid Mexicans," the Justice Department letter said. "Sheriff Arpaio's own actions have helped nurture MCSO's culture of bias," said the letter, written to the Maricopa County attorney. For example, the sheriff apparently endorsed one constituent's letter asking for a "round-up" at one Phoenix street corner of "dark-skin(ned)" people: Arpaio told a member of his command staff in a note to "(h)ave someone handle this," the Justice Department said.

Additionally, during today's press conference, the DOJ reported: "We are also reviewing allegations that MCSO has failed to investigate a large number of sex crimes." The sheriff's office has acknowledged to federal authorities that 432 cases of sexual assault and child molestation were not properly investigated over a three-year period ending in 2007, and many of the victims apparently were Latinos, the Justice Department said.

The DOJ said: "In short, MCSO is broken in a number of critical respects. The problems are deeply rooted in (Maricopa County Sheriff's Office) culture, and are compounded by (its) penchant for retaliation against individuals who speak out," The DOJ authorities are also looking at allegations of excessive force and a deliberate failure to provide law enforcement services in Latino communities.

ARPAIO MUST AGREE TO MAKE RAMPANT CHANGES BY JANUARY 2012 OR THE DOJ WILL FILE FEDERAL CHARGES AGAINST HIM!

But Arpaio is hardly the victim of a conspiracy. The Justice Department's scathing report makes that clear. An expert hired by the department said this case involves "the most egregious racial profiling in the United States" that he has ever seen in the course of his work, according to the report. On Arpaio's watch, deputies went unchecked. One officer used his patrol car to intentionally hit and drag a Latino man and then instructed other deputies to "leave him there," investigators said. A Latino motorist was incarcerated for 13 days for failing to use his turn signal.

Arpaio and His Posse Allow Felons to Run Free While they are Busy Chasing their own Tails in their Racist Quest to Get the President!

azrepublic reports: To most of us, it was just another idiotic joke . . . at our expense. A recent supermarket tabloid featured a cover photograph of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio with a big, gaudy headline reading: "Cops probe Obama." The story, which is true, said that Arpaio is allowing his volunteer Cold Case Posse to investigate claims brought to him by the Surprise "tea party" that President Barack Obama's birth certificate may not be authentic.

To everyone but the most hard-shelled, slightly cracked conspiracy nut - and our beloved sheriff - the "probe" is a ridiculous exercise, a silly one-liner the rest of the country gets to tell. With Arizona as the punch line. But if the joke gets his picture in the supermarket-checkout lane, Arpaio will laugh all the way to the tabloid cover.

"I'm listening to my constituents," the sheriff is quoted as saying. "They asked me to look at it. When I get complaints on anybody, whether politicians or anyone else, I don't throw it in the wastebasket." Really? That isn't what Arlene Banks would say.

Some time back, Arlene was at a meeting of Parents of Murdered Children that I attended. Her 21-year-old daughter, Brittanee Monique Howard, who was eight months pregnant with a baby girl, was shot and killed on May 1, 2008.

Howard was murdered in the residence she was sharing with her boyfriend in Laveen. According to reports, there was an intruder, a struggle over a gun and shots were fired. Brittanee was hit. No one has ever been arrested or charged in the case.

Brittanee's family members say they had to nag the Sheriff's Office for more than a year to get information on how the investigation was going.

"It's been really, really bad," Arlene said.

Brittanee was her only child, a happy, healthy young woman who was working at a credit union when she died.

"The last meeting we had with the Sheriff's Office was last year, when they finally decided to release a copy of the initial report to us," Arlene said. "Before that, they kept telling me that there was no report. There were things that struck us as odd, and to this day, we hardly ever hear anything."

Arlene Banks is not alone.

There are many other mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters who have lost someone to a crime that has never been solved.

To victim families, having a sheriff that allows a volunteer Cold Case Posse to stage a silly investigation of the president's birth certificate is no joke.

It's a tragedy.

It doesn't matter that the posse is made up of unpaid volunteers, as the sheriff's public-relations staff is quick to point out. It doesn't matter that no county resources or money are being wasted.

What matters is that the lives of victim families have been turned upside down and they haven't gotten any answers.

They don't want their loved ones to be forgotten.

"It's been awhile since I've been to a meeting of Parents for Murdered Children," Arlene told me. "It is difficult to sit through. Sometimes, you have to have the energy to listen to everyone's story and not leave there feeling so very down. A lot of people are looking for answers."

To victim families, a sheriff who is interested in the needs of his constituents would tell his volunteer posse that its time would be better spent investigating the many unsolved crimes in this county.

The sheriff said of his posse's investigation into Obama's birth certificate: "I'm not going to spend hours and hours looking at volumes of information. Give it to them, they're not being paid, they're doing it for nothing."

Fine. If posse members prefer to search through documents rather than search for felons, the sheriff would do taxpayers a big favor if he asked them to find out what happened to the $99.5 million in restricted jail funds that county officials say he misspent over the past eight years.

A volunteer posse who aids the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio turned over the documents to his "Cold Case Posse", a group of five volunteers who have prior law enforcement experience. Some were police officers and some were lawyers, Arpaio said, adding that their investigation will not cost the taxpayers a cent.

An MCSO spokesperson confirmed that the Sheriff's Office is not conducting the investigation. Arpaio said the move is not political (LOL) and he is only doing it because it is his duty to investigate the allegations of Maricopa County citizens. "I don't have anything personal or official about it (LOL). They came to me," Arpaio said. "I report to the people. They come to me and ask for something to be done, the lease I can do is look into it." Arpaio said no decision will be made on the next step until the investigation is complete.

District Court Judge David Campbell handed a victory to the Racially Profiled Mora Family! The Honorable Judge Campbell found Arpaio and his Goons Violated the Mora's Fourth Amendment right to be free of Unreasonable Search and Seizure. Maricopa County was found to be liable for damages.

"Julian, an American Citizen, (and his Father - a Legal Resident) had committed NO traffic violation, and NEITHER plaintiff was ever charged with a crime," Judge Campbell noted in his decision. He added: "In short, the undisputed evidence shows that when the Deputies stopped the plaintiffs, they had NO suspicion, reasonable or otherwise, that plaintiffs were in violation of the traffic laws or engaged in ANY criminal activity."

The Mora's attorney, Annie Lai said, "Arpaio has carried out these [immigration] raids with total disregard of people's constitutional rights. Today's decision should provide some comfort to the (Latino) citizens of Maricopa County that the MCSO is NOT above the law."

Long time readers may recall my earlier coverage of this Racial Profiling case.
The Moras were caught up in one of the many anti-Latino raids that Arpaio and his masked volunteer goons conducted in Latino neighborhoods in Maricopa County. This "suppression sweep" was conducted in February 2009, that of county contractor Handyman Maintenance Inc. (HMI)

Julian Mora, 66, and his son Julio, 19, were driving toward HMI in Phoenix when two MCSO SUVs cut them off about 100 yards from the business where Julian Mora (Julio's Dad) worked. For no reason (other than their being Brown) MCSO deputies zip-tied both father and son (like animals), transported them to the worksite and made them wait for three hours, without food or water (in zip ties). The zip-ties on Julio's wrists were so tight they left marks. At one point, Julian (the Dad), a Diabetic, needed to go the bathroom. Mr. Mora's requests and his son's, on his dad's behalf, were IGNORED until Mr. Mora finally told deputies he was about to wet himself. A deputy took Mr. Mora to the parking lot, where he was made to urinate (pee on the ground) next to a car.

When nature called on the younger Julio Mora, MCSO goons escorted him to the lavatory but refused to undo the zip tie. Handcuffed in front, as he struggled to unzip his pants, Sousa's bullyboys LAUGHED at Julio Mora, asking, "What's the matter, you can't find it?"

Arpaio and his masked volunteer goons were wrong for treating the Moras this way and the Judge agrees.

He racially profiled and wrongfully arrested Latino American Citizens with NO CAUSE and without reading them their Miranda Rights. Even the Judge and the District Attorney agree. Dept. of Justice, it is time for you to step in and ARREST Arpaio and shut down his UNLAWFUL Jails!

Salvador Reza Released, Prosecutor Admits No Probable Cause for Arrest
As civil rights leader Salvador Reza stood in stripes before a night court judge around 3:30 a.m. this morning at the Fourth Avenue Jail in downtown Phoenix, the county prosecutor made an eye-popping admission. "This is really my review," he stated cautiously of a statement from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office before him. "I did not see that this rose to the level of probable cause." Reza's attorney Robert Pastor immediately pounced. "Your honor," said Pastor, "I just heard the prosecutor tell the court that there's not enough evidence here to suggest that Mr. Reza committed a crime. I ask that the charge be dismissed and he be released immediately."

Of Reza's bogus charge for "obstructing a judicial proceeding," the judge herself seemed skeptical. "I do not have enough information to find probable cause in this matter, sir," she told the county attorney. She declined to dismiss the charge, but she released Reza on his own recognizance and set his next court date for August 18.
Reza, leader of the organization Puente, had been arrested late Friday afternoon after watching a band of protesters engage in civil disobedience by blocking Sheriff Joe Arpaio's command post for the MCSO's latest anti-immigrant sweep. The post was located near 35th Avenue and Lower Buckeye, close to the Lower Buckeye Jail. Reza was across the street in an unpaved parking lot.

Though Reza was not participating in civil disobedience that day, a pack of aggro sheriff's deputies ran across 35th Avenue and arrested him. Arpaio, MCSO Chief Brian Sands, and MCSO flack Brian Lee have all been videotaped stating that the arrest was because Reza had violated his order of release after he'd been let go on bond the night before for taking part in civil disobedience on July 29. This, as part of a "national day of non-compliance" to SB 1070. After court was adjourned with Reza's O.R., a crowd of about sixty supporters, who had crammed into a viewing room to watch the proceedings from a TV monitor, erupted into applause. They then filed outside to wait another two hours-plus before Reza and the others arrested that day were set free.

"They arrested him for no reason," Pablo Alvarado told me, as we all awaited Reza's release. "He was doing nothing. They just took him. To me it's clear that it's retaliation, because he's been highly critical of the sheriff. They [Arpaio and his staff] don't like him. They hate him." Reza said he was shocked by the arrest, which came without warning, just as he was about to leave for an interview. "When I saw them coming, I thought they were coming for the people in the street," he explained. "But then they just passed them and went for me." Regarding who actually ordered his arrest, Reza believes it was MCSO Deputy Chief Brian Sands, one of Arpaio's top henchmen, a man who looks like he would have felt right at home in the KGB. "It was Sands," Reza contended. "Sands was in command." MSCO thugs hustled a cuffed Reza to a van, where he remained for hours by himself. At one point, the MCSO opened up the van to display Reza to photographers and journalists like a captured prisoner of war.

"If they can do this to me," he told the reporters present before refusing interviews, "what do you expect they can do to anybody else." "I just wish the [ U.S. Department of Justice] would get on the ball and do something about it," he replied. "I don't know what else they want...It's very clear."

The DOJ has been investigating Arpaio for more than a year now for civil rights violations. There's also a federal grand jury in Phoenix looking into Arpaio and the MCSO for criminal abuse of power.

Arpaio's Goon Squad Continues Suppression Sweeps in Latino Neighborhoods

Arpaio and his masked goons' latest crime-suppression sweep netted 71 arrests, including six people who the goon squad says are suspected (in other words, didn't have their papers on them)of being in the country illegally. The two-day Valleywide "suppression sweep" in Latino neighborhoods which ended at midnight Friday, was somewhat delayed by civil protesters and (God-sent) monsoon storms.

The sweep was scheduled to start Thursday morning but was postponed for several hours while deputies dealt with civil protesters blocking roadways in downtown Phoenix. Dozens of civil activists protesting the state's new immigration law have been arrested this week for standing up for their righteous cause. SB 1070, partially went into effect Thursday. SB1070 makes it a misdemeanor offense for immigrants in Arizona not to carry registration papers, effectively allowing police to arrest a person on suspicion of being in the country illegally. But a federal judge blocked that portion of the law earlier in the week.

Arpaio has said he doesn't need the law to hold his suppression sweeps in Latino neighborhoods, which capture offenders for mostly minor, civil violations. The racial profiling "suppression sweep" operation marked the 17th time Arpaio has deployed hundreds of deputies and volunteer posse members in an area of the Valley to root out undocumented workers instead of going after felonious criminals. Deputies typically take a "zero tolerance" approach to traffic offenses and then check the criminal history of the motorists.

Arpaio's masked goon squad have arrested 1,003 people in their operations dating back to March 2008. Of those, 714 were suspected (no papers on them) of being in the country illegally, according to the Sheriff's Office who did not provide actual numbers of those they arrested who were actually latino citizens vs undocumented workers.

sb1070: Portions NOT Blocked! Arpaio Pledges to Go Wild!

These are two big portions of sb1070 that were upheld:

- it still allows a separate crime charge for "harboring or transporting"
- it creates crime charge for "stopping a motor vehicle to pick up day laborers and for day laborers to get in a motor vehicle if it impedes the normal movement of traffic"

The ruling today was a good start, but there is still a lot left in the law that gives zealots like Arpaio & his masked goons as well as Looney Sheriff Babeu a wider net.

Arpaio and masked goons are planning a massive suppression sweep in Latino neighborhoods tomorrow. He has cleared several tents in a new section of tent city (in 120 degree heat) to house those he arrests. He plans to arrest hundreds tomorrow, if they don't have their papers on them as well as the two scenarios not blocked.

DOJ recovers Arpaio's Deleted Emails! Does he have Pink Underwear Large Enough to Fit Himself?

Arpaio is in trouble and he knows it. The DOJ is completing their investigation on his long history of racial profiling. This all has to do with emails Arpaio thought he deleted!

The emails and their content have played a major role in a pair of high profile cases against Arpaio's Sheriff's Office: a racial-profiling lawsuit against Arpaio and an FBI criminal investigation into the Sheriff's Office. David Hendershott, Arpaio's chief deputy, testified in the DOJ's profiling lawsuit that e-mails were purged from the system after 28 days, so documents requested by plaintiffs' attorneys no longer were available. But during the course of the lawsuit, it was revealed that the county's technology office was able to "recover" erased e-mails because it archives messages from all but two county departments: the County Attorney's Office and the libraries.

Ole arpaio and his masked goons are shaking in their boots until the DOJ completes their recovery of the emails. In the meantime, they are trying to set up a new server so they can send their emails in secret again, but this time, the County Supervisors are blocking them.
It shouldn't be much longer now. The Feds have the proof in their hands. My question is, does Arpaio have large enough pink underwear to cover his own well endowed bupkiss.

Local AZ residents Angry over Arpaio's Raids Targetting Latino Women at Sizzler Restaurants This Weekend!

Arpaio and his goons swarmed down on two Sizzler restaurants in Latino neighborhoods yesterday detaining 9 female cooks and hostesses. (click on picture) Family members and restaurant customers flocked outside the restaurant, appalled by the sweep. Arpaio said the raid was the result of a fired former manager who was disgruntled and reported the restaurant for hiring "illeegals." The disgruntled employee reportedly told deputies he was offered three months severance pay in return for not going to law enforcement. The yearlong investigation included undercover surveillance which led deputies to detain nine Latino cooks and hostesses at the crowded Sizzler restaurants.
Arpaio, as usual, called the media so they could video the arrests of these women. The cameras videod several protestors crowding the parking lot behind yellow crime tape. "How much money did it cost to do this? It's horrible," Dora Felix said. "Why aren't they arresting the drug pushers and people who dirty our streets," asked Suzanne Armijo. There were questions many in the angry crowd were asking.

Sizzler owners, who were not arrested, issued the following statement Saturday afternoon: Sizzler and the owner of our restaurants in Phoenix take seriously their responsibility to adhere to all federal and state labor laws. Beginning in 2008 the Sizzler Phoenix restaurants have used E-Verify as part of their efforts to ensure compliance with immigration and work laws. The owner of the restaurants was extremely surprised to learn of the arrests and allegations. He is assisting the Maricopa County Sherriff’s office with its investigation. As of this afternoon, both Sizzler restaurants are open for business as usual.

Meanwhile Arpaio and his goons laughed at the family tragedies they created.

I live in Phoenix and "Sheriff Joe" is a true fossil,rocklike brain and Jurassic Era thinking, he does this garbage, along with profiling sweeps throughout Maricopa County in heavily Hispanic areas as part of his shtick.
This walking oil slick lives in Fountain Hills which is an affluent area whose overly entitled residents get upset (not making this up) because the fountain in the artificial lake was stopped...oh the tragedy. Surprisingly, no sweeps have been done near his home most likely because the landscapers who maintain their grass (in 115 heat) are often undocumented and it might inconvenience them.
Arpaio only targets those who can't fight back, he is a bully with a bullhorn. He would never go after any employer of any size here in the county, but he would be happy to pick on their employees.
