Nativist Republicans are Blocking Immigration Reform in Congress! Demand No Healthcare and Border Enforcement First!
The Republican's BLOCKAGE of the Bill is not expected to be solved. Additionally, Republicans are insisting that any Immigration Reform bills will move forward in a piecemeal fashion starting with increased Border Enforcement. Read this to mean the passage of a National Immigration Bill similar to Arizona's infamous Racial Profile bill "sb1070."
This latest development represents a huge blow to immigration reform advocates because the House is likely to pass several smaller bills that address Secure Borders, but would not include a pathway to citizenship. It creates a much longer and arduous legislative road to a bill President Obama would be willing to sign.

IMMIGRATION REFORM 2013: BORDER ENFORCEMENT CAN NOT BE USED AS A MEANS TO RACIALLY PROFILE LATINOS!

“Border Enforcement” has been used by the far right as a means of controlling and racially profiling the Latino Community. A clear example of this is Arizona’s racial profiling bill “sb1070.” Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer deputies have routinely racially profiled Latino communities since 2006. “sb1070” was written by Kris Kobach from F.A.I.R. – the group created by the infamous racist John Tanton.
Kobach and FAIR have written and sponsored other racial profiling bills all across the country, from North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, Oklahoma and Utah. These laws inspired by Arizona's SB 1070 invite rampant racial profiling against Latinos, Asian-Americans and others presumed to be "foreign" based on how they look or sound. They also authorize police to demand papers proving citizenship or immigration status from anyone they stop and suspect of being in the country unlawfully.
“Border Enforcement” as Code Words for the racial profiling of Latinos. These laws are the new Jim Crow laws. Anyone who supports these “sb2070” laws knows this. These laws are strongly supported by the Tea Party and the Far Right. Latinos know this.

From a Mexican American: I am SO SICK of Marco Rubio's Pandering!
Just look at him on the Cover of Time. He PANDERS to ALL of the Media, pretending to be the Latino Savior! Republican Savior! The only one he is saving is HIMSELF on his egotistical RUN for President in 2016.
We ALL KNOW that he is running for President. We also know he will pander and use his father's Cuban heritage to help his chances. IF he was a TRUE Representative of OUR PEOPLE, he would support what WE THE PEOPLE believe is important. He would believe in:
1. A Multi Cultural Society where ALL OF US are created equal
2. He would advocate NO RACIAL PROFILING for ANYONE and advocate an END to sb1070 and any similar Racial Profiling laws in place.
3. He would support a Path to Citizenship for All 11M people here -- NOTHING Piecemeal About It
4. In 2010, he would have supported the Dream Act -- not piecemeal and No Strings Attached
5. He would have STOOD Up against Arpaio and his masked volunteer goons and support the government and peoples' cases against Arpaio and call for his incarceration.
Yet, HE DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY OF THIS!
Instead, he continues to put Himself In the Spotlight! He advocates for ATTENTION in front of the Media. He Advocates, as representative of the Republicans -- in speaking Out AGAINST our President. He will do so on Tuesday, after our President's State of the Union. Republicans put him out there as their TOKEN Latino, their little Uncle Tom. Rubio doesn't believe in ANYTHING WE BELIEVE IN! All he wants is attention! He wants to be the Latino Token for the Republican Party when he runs for President in 2016.
I FIND IT ALL VERY PITIFUL AND SAD! HE DOES NOT REPRESENT US!
HE IS A MEDIA HOUND MERELY REPRESENTING HIMSELF~! HE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF HIMSELF!!!

THE REPUBLICAN SUPREME COURT’S RULING ON SB1070: WHAT ROMNEY WOULD LIKE TO SAY!
“Shhhh… let’s not aggravate the Latino base. Let’s not say a word. (wink wink) I know our Republican Supreme Court has passed the best part of sb1070. Now, Sheriff’s like Arpaio can racially profile ALL the Mexicans, all the Brown People, anyone of color because OUR Supreme Court said so. ”
Romney continues: “Our Republican Sheriffs are going to take sb1070 into high gear, especially during Election Time. We are going to scare the hell out of ALL LATINOS who dare to vote. We’re going to stop everyone in the car. We are going to ask their kids for their papers. We are going to make them so nervous, they will be very afraid, they’ll be afraid to leave the house. They’ll never vote.”
Romney laughs: “If any of them try to vote, OUR VOTER SUPRESSION LAWs will really STOP THEM from Voting. We won’t let them use their College Ids or their Medicare Cards. If they don't have OUR Official Ids, like Gun Permits, then we will make them drive 20 or 30 miles into non-Latino neighborhoods so they can try and get them (Good Luck!) We’ll have them running scared and hiding. With No Vote, Who Cares What the Hell they Do!”
Romney finishes: “Like I’ve been telling you! My plan is to VETO Obama’s Dream Act on Day 1. My plan is to force ALL 11M of those illeegals out of the country by making them Self Deport themselves. My plan is to Make them take their kids with them. My plan is to Change the 14th Amendment so that their spawn are No Longer Citizens.”
Romney Concludes: “Tea Party and Extremist Republicans, my pledge to you is to STOP the Census Bureau’s prediction that OUR USA is going to be Majority Minority in 2030. Nope. Not on OUR Watch. We are going to make it so difficult for those Beaners to be here that ALL of them, including the Legal Ones, Self Deport themselves OUT OF OUR COUNTRY. Once we get rid of the Beaners, we’ll target the Blacks and the Asians…. Majority Minority? Not on my watch!”
The Tea Party gives Romney and his HINO VP a Standing Ovation!

Republican Supreme Court may uphold sb1070! IF THEY DO, Romney will NEVER get the support of 80% of Latino Voters!
This is not good news for all of my fellow American Latinos. If the Republican Supreme Court upholds this racial profiling bill, then all of the 50M American Citizen Latinos are in high jeopardy. We will be just like the victims of Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer goon squad in Maricopa County.
This is very sad news.
However, it is good news in One Respect. The evil Romney and Rubio are clearly supporting this evil racial profiling bill and the Republican Supreme Court.
Let's get this straight, here and now. I promise you this:
IF the Supreme Court supports the racial profiling sb1070, we American Latinos will BLAME ALL Republicans and NONE of us will Vote for Romney! That includes whether he selects HINO Marco Rubio as his VP or not!

Russell Pearce, Arizona's ANTI Latino Hate Monger, has been kicked out of Office!
Republican TeaPartier Russell Pearce, Arizona's ANTI Latino Hate Monger, has been kicked out of Office by WE THE PEOPLE!Pearce got the boot from office last night, becoming the only sitting state Senate president to lose in a recall election in the history of the United States. Pearce's loss is viewed as a warning to Republican-Tea Party ANTI Latino Immigration hard-liners, and far-right-wingers, who support Pearce's Anti-Latino Hate Mongering!
Pearce, the chief Sponsor of the ANTI Latino Racial Profiling law SB1070, the first ANTI Latino Hate Bill passed in any state. As Pearce's rhetoric became more ANTI Latino and more extreme, even those that voted for him in last year's election CHANGED THEIR MIND and voted Agaist him!
Pearce's loss is a LOUD AND CLEAR signal and sends a message to All Americans. The message is: WE THE PEOPLE WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANYONE WHO IS ANTI LATINO OR ANTI IMMIGRANT OR WHO PROMOTES HATE FILLED, RACIAL PROFILING BILLS!

Breaking News: AZ sb1070 Racial Profiling Bill Author State Sen. Russell Pearce - RECALLED!!!!!
Breaking News! Shout it from the Rooftops! WE THE PEOPLE have Won! State Sen. Russell Pearce, the author of Arizona's Racial Profiling bill sb1070 Racial Profiling Bill has been RECALLED!!!!!Mark down July 8th as a day history was made in Arizona. In a swift affirmation of Arizona's fast-growing and powerful new political movement, Secretary of State Ken Bennett notified Gov. Jan Brewer that the once seemingly invincible architect of the state's controversial SB 1070 "papers please" immigration law has officially been recalled. Bennett confirmed that the recall petitions delivered by the Citizens for a Better Arizona "exceeds the minimum signatures required by the Arizona Constitution."
"Let's make no mistake about it," said Randy Parraz, co-founder of the Citizens for a Better Arizona. "Russell Pearce has been recalled."
According to Bennett's statement, Pearce has two options: Resign from office within five business days, or become a candidate in the recall election. Either way, Pearce becomes the first state senate president in recent memory to be recalled in the nation.
"No one expected this or picked up on this political earthquake," said Parraz, one of the main organizers behind the extraordinary grassroots campaign, which electrified a bipartisan effort in Pearce's Mesa district. Parraz credited a "dramatic shift" over the past six months due to Pearce's often extremist leadership in state senate.
"We had people pouring into the office," Parraz said, citing the role of Republicans, Democrats and Independents in the door-to-door canvassing initiative, "and they told us: Russe
ll Pearce is too extreme for our district and state."Beyond his self-proclaimed key role in the state's notorious SB 1070 law, Pearce oversaw a near circus-level of extremist and reckless legislation in the Arizona senate this past spring, including draconian cuts in education and health care. Mired in various scandals, Pearce infamously accused President Obama of "waging jihad" on America. And last month Fox News Phoenix explored his widely denounced connections to neo-Nazi hate groups. In a recent interview with FOX News, Pearce dismissed the recall effort as the work of "far left anarchists."
In truth, the Secretary of State's office confirmed that an additional one third of the necessary signatures had been properly collected and verified. Within 15 days, Gov. Brewer must set the date for the recall election, which presumably will take place in November. And while no single candidate has emerged to claim the frontrunner's position, one thing is clear: The Citizens for a Better Arizona has galvanized a new era in Arizona politics.

TX House Passes "Operation Wetback" Racial Profiling Bill HB 12. State Republicans say the Bill is Meant to Keep Hispanics from TAKING OVER!!!
Last week, the Texas State House passed HB12. This bill is as bad (some say worse) than Arizona's sb1070 - racial profiling bill. The next step is for this heinous bill to go before the State Senate. The bill was proposed by state Rep. Burt Solomons, R-Carrollton. Proponents (politicians and their media supporters) of the bill say it is an anti "sanctuary cities" bill. They say it merely stops funding of any city/location that supports "sanctuary city policies."The reality is this bill promotes racial profiling. In a nutshell, the bill says:
1. ANYONE (police officer, school detention officer, employee, etc.)
2. ANYWHERE ("entity" = city, state, campus, etc)
3. May Inquire into the Immigration status of a person "lawfully detained" or arrested.
4. And NO ONE can prohibit ANYONE Employed by the Authority from doing this.
5. And if ANY ENTITY does attempt to prohibit these actions, then any state funding going to that entity will be DENIED for One Year.
6. CITIZEN's ARREST: Authorizes ANYONE to REPORT to the State Attorney General ANY ENTITY they "suspect" as not adhering to this Racial Profiling bill.
Perhaps the worst thing about the bill is its racial profiling aspects, EVEN IN School! This is how it will work:
1. A School Detention Officer leading a detention class, will be required to ask "Every Student They Suspect as being an Illeegal" for their Immigration status. If the students don't have their "papers" they may be sent to a Detention Center until their Citizenship status is identified.
2. A policeman pulls a car over for speeding. They spot a brown person in the backseat they suspect is "illeegal." If that brown person does NOT have their passport or birth certificate with them, they may be sent to a Dentention Center until their Citizenship status is identified.
3. You go pay a parking ticket at a local Munical Court and your invalid mother goes with you. As you are going through the metal detector entrance, the security guard asks your mother for her birth certificate or passport. If she doesn't have this identification with her, she may be sent to a Dentention Center until her Citizenship status is identified.
If the School, or local police department or municipality attempts to Prohibit their employees from doing these checks, IF THEY DO NOT DO THIS RACIAL PROFILING, then the Funding for that entity may be CUT for One Year!
This is a HEINOUS bill (HB12)! It did NOT pass easily. In the Texas State House, there were HOURS of contentious and emotional debate. Most of the State Reps that opposed HB12 were quick to announce that this heinous bill will lead to racial profiling and harassment of legal residents and citizens. State Rep Ana Hernandez Luna said, "I know this bill will push immigrants into the shadows and others will be afraid to go to the grocery store and buy groceries for their families."
El Paso County Sheriff Richard Wiles and other Texas law enforcement leaders have said the bill amounts to an unfinanced mandate that would leave counties saddled with the costs of housing undocumented immigrants in jails, providing officer training and fighting lawsuits that may arise. These officials said Texas Taxpayers are going to have to "foot the bill" for this unneccessary profiling. Wiles also said the bill also will tear down the trust that law enforcement currently has with communities and make people less willing to report crimes and lead to slower response times by law officers.
State Rep Joe Pickett(El Paso) summed up the Republican perspective when he said the bill is more than just combating illegal immigration. He said some lawmakers in the Texas Capitol (who he wouldn't name) have confided in him on the assumption that BECAUSE HE IS WHITE, he shares their views. Rep. Pickett said, "I've heard people talk about legislation like this, who look like me, who have last names that don't sound Hispanic. They believe that things like this are meant to keep Hispanics from taking over."
Gov. Rick Perry (the secessionist) said, however, that the passage of this racial profiling bill was an "emergency" item. The REALITY is, HB12 is just sb1070 (a pig) with make-up! It is time for All American Latinos to take a stand and say "We've Had Enough! NO MORE RACIAL PROFILING Bills!"

AZ Gov Brewer Destroying Arizona Allowing Private Prisons to Run Wild & Gangs to Run Amok As She Racially Profiles Latinos!
News reports indicate Gov. Jan Brewer is destroying Arizona by being in collusion with her cronies that ineptly run their privately owned prisons. Additionally she is allowing white nationalist motorcycle gangs (Vagos and Hell's Angels) to run amok! She is destroying Arizona while she puts all of her energy on her election campaign which focuses on the ANTI-Latino, racially profiling, failed immigration bill sb1070.azfamily.com reports:
Brewer stands by private prisons despite lapses
Gov. Jan Brewer is standing by Arizona's use of private prisons despite a Corrections Department report saying the escape of three inmates followed numerous security lapses at the privately operated facility.

First Day of sb1070 hearing Disastrous for Brewer (La Bruja) and Cohorts
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV - One day after the first SB1070 court hearing there are new questions about how police will actually enforce the law. Nine On Your Side's Steve Nunez poured over his notes from the hearing and found testimony from the governor's own attorney that could deal a blow to the law's future. Judge Susan Bolton admitted the provision to "stop, detain, and arrest" is the most contentious part of Arizona's immigration law.At issue: how long can an officer detain a person before determining immigration status?
Governor Brewer's Attorney John Bouma could not give an answer. He did say SB1070 still gives officers the option to call ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) when reasonable.
Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada says if that's the case he can then continue to do what he's been doing for years: turn illegal's over to Border Patrol. Nunez asked Estrada: "What's the difference between stopping someone for a civil violation, writing a ticket and letting them go and stopping someone for a civil violation, writing a ticket but then questioning them for immigration status?"
Estrada answered, "With a civil violation you can't hold anybody and they can refuse to sign, for example, a traffic ticket. On a criminal violation they don't have an option if they don't sign it they get arrested."
Under SB1070, that means a person, including a legal resident alien or U.S. Citizen who fails to provide immigration papers or a valid driver's license, could be indefinitely detained until they can prove their legal status. Judge Bolton also raised the question: would undetermined detention time violate constitutional laws that restrict unreasonable detentions?
Immigration Attorney John Messing said the fact Governor Brewer's legal team could not answer this question blows a big hole in their defense case. "Because the constitution says you can't hold people without making an initial appearance within 24 hours that's the way Arizona structured its criminal code. If Governor Brewer's attorney's lose this initial salvo I think certain momentum will be built into the case that at the district court level could be disastrous for their side," said Messing. Messing now believes SB1070 will be challenged all the way to the Supreme Court.

The Border Patrol Labor Union says to Jan "La Bruja" Brewer: YOU LIE!
The Border Patrol Labor Union says to Jan "La Bruja" Brewer: YOU LIE!CNN Reports: A labor union representing nearly 20,000 border patrol agents and staff Friday disputed comments made by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer that most illegal immigrants coming across the southern border are smuggling drugs. Brewer initially made the comments earlier this month during a debate of Republican gubernatorial candidates. She repeated them Friday when asked by a reporter for the basis of the claim. "Well, we all know that the majority of the people that are coming to Arizona and trespassing are now becoming drug mules," Brewer said. "They're coming across our borders in huge numbers. The drug cartels have taken control of the immigration. "So they are criminals. They're breaking the law when they are trespassing and they're criminals when they pack the marijuana and the drugs on their backs."
When pressed, Brewer explained that many are simply coming to the United States to look for work but "are accosted, and they become subjects of the drug cartels."
T.J. Bonner of the National Border Patrol Council told CNN that Brewer's claims were "clearly not the case." Bonner said Brewer's comments, don't "comport with reality -- that's the nicest way to put it." Brewer's statement is the center of a controversy over a recently passed law that requires law enforcement officials to ascertain the citizenship of the subject of any investigation if they have reason to believe their suspect is in this country illegally. The U.S. Department of Justice is considering whether to file suit against the law.

NeoNazi Friends of sb1070's Russell Pearce are Planning Violent Border Ops this weekend and No One is Stopping Them!
These racist, white nationalist zealots are following the request of CCIR's Barbara Coe at the Phoenix Rising Rally in support of sb1070 when Coe shouted to the crowd to "Lock & Load!"
Now, Ready is conductin
g a Border Ops this Saturday, June 9, 2010. He is asking for volunteers to "come on down" and prepare to shoot. His webpage announces the Border Ops to be conducted in Vekol County AZ.
"Camouflage or earth tone clothing preferred. Plenty of water and water containers. MRE's or field prepared meals are a plus. Valid I.D. on person and emergency contact information required. Military related gear a plus. Helmets, body armor, or related gear welcome but not required. Bring plenty of firearms and ammo. Bandanas, balaclavas, or other identity concealing items are permissible and encouraged."
Sheriff "Hollywood" Babeu is not planning on stopping them from these violent and outrageous activities. My question to the FBI/DOJ is, why aren't you stopping them? Why aren't you investigating their role in the shooting of innocent Latino's last week in Rio Rico? Just check their cell phone records to see if they were there, that will be a start. FBI/DOJ, please step in and stop the violence!
Ready’s statement promises that, "This is the Minuteman Project on steroids! THE INVASION STOPS HERE!“

Arizona sb1070: National Mayors Group Condemns New Policy, Urges Federal Immigration Overhaul
HP reports: OKLAHOMA CITY — The U.S. Conference of Mayors has approved resolutions condemning Arizona's new immigration law and asking Congress for an overhaul of federal immigration policies. Conference spokeswoman Elena Temple-Webb says both resolutions were approved on a voice vote, with some opposition.Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon sponsored the first resolution opposing the Arizona law that makes crossing the border illegally a state crime and requires police to verify people's immigration status. The law goes into effect July 29. A second resolution by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa calls for the repeal of the Arizona law and for Congress to pass comprehensive changes to immigration law. An estimated 200 mayors attended the conference Monday in Oklahoma City.
Stop Exploiting the Death of Humanitarian Rancher Robert Krentz! Instead, Stop Drugs and Border Violence!
The murder of rancher Robert Krentz remains unsolved although numerous politicians in Arizona continue to exploit the murder for their own personal gains. On the top of the list of political exploiters and groups are supporters of sb1070, including: Senate Seat: John McCain, his opponent JD Hayworth; Governor up for 1st election: Jan Brewer (la bruja); State Senator: Russell Pearce; Sheriff Arpaio. John Tanton's groups FAIR and NumbersUSA. John Tanton's groups FAIR and NumbersUSA also aggressively pushed HR5016 just 14 days after the death of Robert Krentz. This is extremely odd because Robert Krentz was an environmentalist and HR5016 eases restrictions on Federal Land. HR5016 reads: "Neither the Secretary of Interior nor the Secretary of Agriculture shall impede, prohibit, or restrict activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security on public lands to achieve operational control (as defined in section 2(b) of the Secure Fence Act of 2006 over the international land and maritime borders of the United States." This bill allows vehicles and people into protected lands and animal sanctuaries.
I've been reading a few articles about Rancher Kre
ntz. Rob and Sue Krentz were married in 1977. Their families were long time ranchers in Southeastern Arizona. Rob was a high school football star and graduated from the University of AZ in 1973. Rob and Sue met in 1976. It was love at first sight. They married the next year. Their honeymoon was short and they quickly returned to the difficult ranching life. They raised three beautiful children. They were good Catholics and went to church every Sunday. Being so close to the Mexican border, the Krentzes had frequent, friendly, contact with Mexicans (their daughter married a Mexican American). Rob Krentz was a friend, neighbor, active in the community and also an environmentalist. He was a member of the local school board since 1979, member of the Whitewater Draw NRCD board and became a leader in a group called "the Malpai Borderlands Project."The Malpai Borderlands Project (MBP) is a community-based ecosystem management effort under the leadership of a number of landowners within the planning region which extends along the Mexican Border from near Douglas, Arizona to Antelope Wells, New Mexico and North to New Mexico Highway 9. The patchwork of ownership includes 53%private and 47% made up of state trust land in New Mexico and Arizona and public land managed by the U.S. Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
The MBP Group's goal: "To preserve and maintain the natural processes that create and protect a healthy, unfragmented landscape to support a diverse, flourishing community of human, plant, and animal life in the borderlands region." Malpai ranchers pioneered "grassbanking," moving cattle from ranches stressed by drought to graze temporarily on others less affected by the lack of rain. The practice has saved some ranchers from having to sell their spreads.
The Krentz's were good neighbors and had many rancher friends who were also members of the MBP. This was a tremendous ecological partnership between private ranchers and the government. "We are trying to preserve this landscape as an area devoted to wildlife." MBP's mission is to stop the use and abuse of these lands from environmental damage created by humans including vacationers, off-roaders, land developers and any landcrossers. To combat some of the environmental damage created by perpetrators, the ranchers recently received a grant from the Bureau of Land Management to help pay for the huge daily trash pickups.
Like many of their rancher neighbors, the Krentz's n
oticed many trespassers including border crossers travelling across their land. The Krentz's often provided them water and occassionally called the Border Patrol if they needed help. In the late 1990s, the Krentz's noticed a difference in some of those crossing the border. Some of the crossers were now carrying large bales of marijuana. These crossers were different than those coming to the U.S. to work. They were not friendly. They also noticed Minutemen trespassing on their land. They often reported these intruders to the local border patrol, police and ICE offices. Nothing was ever done. Over the years, they just put up with the changes knowing their complaints fell on deaf ears. Gradually they became angry at the Federal Government for not finding out why the border had changed and for not passing Immigration Reform and securing the border. On the morning of March 27, 2010, Rob and his brother were tending his ranch. They had set off on their separate tasks. At 10:30, Rob called Phil on his hand held radio and said he had just seen an "undocumented alien" near a water well on the property who appeared to be "in need of help." Rob asked his brother to contact Border Patrol to help him. Phil said there wasn't any urgency in Rob's voice and that type of thing happens all the time so he wasn't worried. They were supposed to meet at noon but Rob didn't show. Phil called family and friends to look for Rob but they couldn't find him. They called Sheriff Dever at 6:15 pm. The sheriff sent out a search and rescue team. They sent out six police cars and two ATVs to the Krentz ranch. The Border Patrol and other agencies also responded. However it was now dark. They searched for five hours and finally found him about 11:30pm. He was dead, shot on his left side. Rob's rifle and pistol were still holstered. His dog Blue was also shot, later euthanised. The police followed the tire tracks and found Rob was shot about 300 yards away. At the shooting location they found three 9MM bullet shells. Trackers were brought in and found one set of footprints which came from the north and were headed south and tracked toward the Mexico line, where the trail ended. The Sheriff said he has no suspects. Local ranchers say they do not believe it was migrants since they never travel alone. They do suspect it may be a drug dealer, travelling from north to south, but to date, there are no suspects.
Mrs. Krentz is in mourning. She lost the love of her life. "All we wanted was to be able to live in safety on our own land. We don't want anyone on our property who isn't invited — drug smugglers, Minutemen, anyone. I guess that was too much to ask."
----------------------
I hope whoever committed this heinous murder is identified and prosecuted. Robert Krentz should not have been murdered. Additionally, his death should not be exploited as numerous politicians and groups are now doing. He also would not have wanted the HR5016 bill to pass. He was an environmentalist. I doubt he would have been in support of sb1070. What he and his wife wanted was secure borders. sb1070 has nothing to do with secure borders.
They wanted the government to find out WHY so many people are coming here and why there has been such a drug trafficking increase into our country over the last 10 years. The Krentz's said the primary drug being brought across their land were bales of marijuana.
If we truly want to do something about the border problems and associated drug violence, I agree, we need to get to the root cause of why there has been such an increase in drug trafficking into our country and stop it.
1. Stop the flow of marijuana into our country.
2. Target the drug cartels and drug users.

The USA is Quickly Moving to a Thriving Multi Cultural Society and No Hate Bill is Going to Stop It!
The pro-bloggers closest to me know that I have been down lately. I'm saddened by all of the atrocities in the border states. The murder of 14 year old Sergio was a blow. He was such a young boy, close to the same age as my oldest grandson. For a young boy to be shot in the head by a BP was both shocking and sad. Then, the death of a young man in California by the BP with a taser was another sad event. To top it off, the ANTI crowd grouping in AZ at the Phoenix Rising rally where Barbara Coe hollered at the top of her lungs to "Lock and Load" and the next day, two innocent Latinos were brutally murdered in the desert; meanwhile Sheriff Babeu refuses to provide the public the 911 tape. The ANTI crowd is rearing its ugly head with rhetoric blaming all of the "illeegals" for the murder of Robert Krentz when the police say they have no suspect; and also blaming all "illeegals" for the (fake) shooting of deputy louie puroll, all with no suspects and no evidence. Meanwhile sb1070 appears ready for enactment and the state legislatures are complaining about not having enough private prisons to hold all of the Latinos that will be imprisoned with sb1070 so they are planning on setting up tent city prisons (in 120 degree summer heat) ala Arpaio's tent cities. On top of all of this depressing news, it has become clear that CIR will not be passed this year. President Obama and the Democratic Congress does not have the support nor the (ok I'm going to say it) the cajones to pass the bill this year. Instead, they are caving in to all to the racist group FAIR's white nationalist rhetoric and are taking up the restrictionist stance of more ICE raids and detention centers.
All so depressing.
As usual, when I get in these type of moods, my husband and I talked. With no solution in sight, we decided to go out to dinner in a new place in the Latino section of town; some people would call it the "illegal" section of town. The place was crowded; full of brown people. The juke box was blaring with Mexican music. The crowd was very young. Most people were in their 20's. They had a bar on the far side of the restaurant. The young people were moving rhythmically to the beat, beat, beat of the music. Everyone was having fun. This is the first time we went to this restaurant. It was a Mexican Seafood place. My husband studied the menu and decided what he wanted for dinner. I did too. There was one other "white guy" in the restaurant. He was eating dinner too. It was obvious he was enjoying himself and listening to the music. We later found out he was the beer delivery guy who stayed for dinner.
Everyone spoke English and Spanish but their English was heavily accented.
My husband and I both enjoyed our dinner. The food was delicious and fresh. The hot sauce was extra spicy.
As we were leaving, I realized I wasn't depressed about the future anymore. I realized at dinner, these wonderful, hard working people were not paying attention to the media or the very nasty negative commenters on the internet. They weren't worried about sb1070. They weren't worried about Russell Pearce, Sheriff Arpaio or FAIR's Kris Kobach. They were young, hard working and making America a better place. I knew most of them were legal citizens, probably many the ANTIs term "anchor babies." I also knew some of them were "illeeegals." It was clear they all had just gotten off from work and were having fun at the bar/restaurant and enjoying the music. I realized, this was tomorrow, not yesterday. Despite all the rhetoric, nativism, restrictionism and white nationalism, these hard working people weren't going anywhere. This was their country, my country, our country. There isn't going to be a Mass Deportation. The census bureau is right. We are a thriving, growing, multi cultural America and we will continue to be so. Regardless of all the hateful talk and plans being made by the white supremists who support sb1070 and other similar restrictionist laws and their wish for Mass Deportation; Regardless of all the angst the PRO CIR advocates suffer if CIR isn't passed this year; it makes no difference. Being in that restaurant this afternoon helped me realize. Our country's move to a thriving multi cultural society is like a freight train. It is inevitable and our own young people are going to make sure it happens. No Hate Bill is going to stop it!

Pathetic Phoenix Rising Rally in support of sb1070 is a DUD!!! Racist Barbara Coe Advocates Violence!
As alipac's Willie Gheen predicted, yesterday's Phoenix Rising rally in support of sb1070 was a DUD! Attendance was much smaller than predicted. Only 700 were in attendance. Dan Smeriglio, head of the group Voice of the People, organized the event. According to William Gheen, Smeriglio is linked to White Nationalists & Neo-Nazis. Barbara Coe,
leader of the Hate Group California Coalition for Immigration Reform was also in attendance. Coe spoke to the crowd threatening: “It is now our responsibility to stand up and be counted,’’ she said to cheers. “This is our turning point. The traitors have underestimated the power of Americans. No mas. … God forbid it should come to this but if it should come to this, lock and load.” Joe Arpaio was a key note speaker as well as Tom Tancredo. When asked about the small number in attendance Arpaio told the reporter, "it don't matter."
As usual at all rallies in support of sb1070, nary a minority was present except for a paid (?) speaker or two. There were also a number of Obama haters carrying signs plus a few gun toting yahoos and a skinhead or two. Pretty pathetic!

Stats, Lies and Video Tapes: Why is Sheriff Babeu (McCain's Co-Star) LYING about Crime Stats in Pinal County?
You've probably seen him by now, in one of numerous TV interviews or walking with Sen. John McCain along the U.S.-Mexico border fence in the senator's latest television ad. He is Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu, a 41-year-old who arrived in Arizona from Massachusetts in 2002 and who has become the new face of Arizona border sheriffs in the last two months, although his county is about 90 miles from Mexico. He's the blue-eyed, shaved-headed man in a crisp sheriff's uniform who makes the following claims:
1. Violence is "off-the-charts" in Arizona,
2. He is defending the state's new immigration-enforcement law
3. He is lamenting the federal government's inability to secure the border.
Babeu, especially with his nouveau staunch stance against "illegal immigration," has a penchant for self-promotion. Some label him a less abrasive version of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. But Arpaio was a law enforcement officer who turned politician, while Babeu is a politician turned sheriff looking for hollywood lights, fame and future political office.
While in Massachusetts, he was on the city council. Shortly after losing his election try for Mayor, he moved to Arizona looking to restart his political career. He started as a police officer, then he was elected sheriff of pinal county in 2008. Babeu did not make the border a key campaign issue until one of his deputies, Louie Puroll, was allegedly shot by who he claimed were smugglers. Babeu has his own facebook page and posts his own videos and his latest TV appearances to promote his future career.
On April 30, in a televised interview with CBS reporter Bill Whitaker, Babeu said, "Assaults against police officers, officer-involved shootings, home invasions, carjackings, violent crimes are off the charts. And you ask why is that? We can clearly point to the flow of illegal immigrants." Babeu has made "many claims" regarding what he says is an increase in border violence. He said he convinced Sen. McCain and Kyl to take a harder law enforcement stance on their 10 step border security plan because of the crime increase. He also has appeared in ads with McCain repeating his claims.
But to some, including longtime Arizona law enforcement officials, Babeu is a pretender. Many officers question how 3 1/2 years spent patrolling Chandler's streets, plus a border deployment, qualify him as a national expert on border security, said Bill Richardson, a retired Mesa police officer who also worked for 10 years on a Drug Enforcement Administration task force in Pima, Pinal and other counties. "It would be like a college freshman pre-med student who's had one anatomy class telling a veteran pathologist how to do an autopsy," said Richardson, who has followed Babeu closely since 2008.
Smuggling has long occurred in western Pinal County, but Babeu's claims of soaring violence have more to do with his own political aspirations than reality, Richardson said."What he's very skillfully doing, much like (Joe) Arpaio and (State Sen. Russell) Pearce, is he's creating fear or fanning the flames of fear, that the undocumented are the root cause of crime in Arizona," Richardson said. "In fact, they are not." Figures from the Pinal County Sheriff's Office show major crimes in the county have either decreased or remained steady over the past three years. However, Babeu and Lt. Tamatha Villar said the information for this year is preliminary and does not provide a complete picture of crimes - such as bodies found in suspicious circumstances - likely linked to the border. "I'm not making these things up," Babeu said. "There is more than enough stuff that's going on here, and the threat is real."
The AZNet reporter studied the stats and asked: "I asked Babeu about what he’s referring to when he says violence is "off the charts" and has reached "epidemic" proportions. I told him that we had received crime statistics from his department showing that all major crime stats have dipped or stayed the same in the past three years. He said, “not for us.” When we showed him the statistics for homicides, rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, burglaries, thefts, vehicle thefts and arsons from his own department (see below), he and spokeswoman Tamatha Villar said these numbers were not being run off of “UCR” codes, which refer to “Uniform Crime Reports” kept by the FBI. Babeu said, for instance, that in 2010, there had been 26 homicides. Villar said, “I have to confirm that” but agreed there have been more than the 1 listed in the chart. The reporter asked for Babeu to send him the corrected statistics but he never received them.

Border BoletÃn: What's behind Babeu's border claims
To AZ Governor Jan Brewer: "YOU LIED!!!" Now You may Never Be Elected!!
Trueslant.com reports:AZ Governor Jan Brewer tells conflicting stories about father’s death
I don’t understand why politicians think they can get away with these kinds of lies. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer recently told the Arizona Republic that she was disgusted with Nazi comparisons to the new Arizona immigration law SB 1070 because her father died fighting the Nazi regime. “Knowing that my father died fighting the Nazi regime in Germany, that I lost him when I was 11 because of that…and then to have them call me Hitler’s daughter. It hurts. It’s ugliness beyond anything I’ve ever experienced” Brewer said.
It turns out Brewer LIED. Her father died ten years after the end of World War II in California from lung disease. Even during the war her father, Wilford Drinkwine, only served as a civilian supervisor for naval munitions in Nevada. If memory serves, the Nazi regime did not make it all the way to Nevada, and certainly not in 1955.
This could spell the end of whatever prospects Brewer may have enjoyed for reelection. Signing controversial immigration laws is one thing – lying about military service is quite another.
Guest Voz: Ruben Navarrette: Rename sb1070 "The Mexican Removal Act" or "Operation Wetback 2010"
Guest Voz: Ruben Navarrette:A reader demands that the media stop pussyfooting around and call the new Arizona immigration law what it is: "The Mexican Removal Act." (Or Operation Wetback 2010) Too harsh? Not if you saw a recent story by a Phoenix television station that examined hundreds of e-mails exchanged between supporters of the legislation and its sponsor, state Sen. Russell Pearce. Here is how one constituent described the bill's purpose: "I think it is about time we take our state and country back from the Mexicans." Many others offered similar comments. The truth can be ugly. But we shouldn't turn a blind eye to it. And here is the reality: There is a segment of the U.S. population that would like to turn back the demographic clock to a Beaver Cleaver era when a headline declaring "Whites to be U.S. minority by 2050" was inconceivable. Yet according to Census Bureau estimates, the U.S. Latino population is expected to triple in the next 40 years.
Not if Arizona has anything to say about it. No sir. Why? Because "it is about time what we take our state and country back from the Mexicans." This isn't to say that the new law is inherently racist , or that everyone who supports it is racist. But one would have to be naive to run off in the opposite direction and label the measure, or the passions fueling it, race-neutral - as if intimidating, offending, inconveniencing and scaring off as many Latinos as possible was an unintended consequence instead of the prime objective.
There is no shortage of naivete. Faced with a law that turns local and state police into makeshift immigration agents - without the additional training that real federal immigration agents must complete - many Americans have decided that racial profiling is harmless as long as some other group is profiled. What is in short supply is empathy. Some identify with those who feel that their state is being invaded, its services abused and resources depleted. Others align themselves with those who worry about being treated as second-class citizens because of ethnicity, skin color, accent or another characteristic that makes them appear "foreign" in their own country. Neither camp seems interested in the other's point of view.
I'm getting an earful from both sides. In the last few weeks, I've received dozens of e-mails from people who assure me that Latinos who are U.S. citizens or have a legal right to be in the United States have no reason to be offended by the new law and nothing to worry about. And I've received dozens of e-mails from Latinos who fall into those categories and who tell me they're offended and worried. Some of them either live in Arizona or travel there often and are concerned about being accosted by police relying on a flimsy excuse. This simply would never happen, the first group assures me with the absolute confidence of those who have nothing to lose if their assumptions are wrong. Besides pining away for Beaver Cleaver, their image of police is stuck on squeaky clean Joe Friday. "Just the facts, ma'am."
Here are the facts: (1) Arizona lawmakers have boxed police officers in with a law that requires them - under threat of litigation - to check the citizenship of anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally once they make contact due to an alleged infraction; (2) the list of "infractions" is broad enough to include everything from trespassing to vagrancy to soliciting work to attending a party where the music is too loud; and (3) police officers are going to do everything they can to fulfill their obligations under the law.
And, as human beings, those officers will find it difficult not to give in to their prejudices. Take it from the experts. Among the critics of the Arizona law I heard from is a Latino police sergeant in a major U.S. city who, after more than 25 years on the job, knows how this game is going to play out. "You're right," he wrote, "in the real world of policing as a peace officer on the street, any tool will be used to gain an advantage during any contact. It's our nature to be proactive." Which is why the rest of us have to be just as proactive in pointing out what an indefensible law this is - especially to those who are determined to defend it.
