La Bruja Jan Brewer's Mysterious Trip Destination REVEALED! She was in Afghanistan!

The mystery of Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's (R) whereabouts got one step closer to being solved. Bloomberg reports Brewer was in Afghanistan. The deranged Brewer had reportedly left Arizona for an undisclosed location over the weekend, leaving her deputy, Secretary of State Ken Bennett in charge.

"La Bruja" Jan Brewer SUED for Denying LEGAL DREAMERS Drivers' LIcenses!

The Guardian reports: Alejandra Lopez, 19, is one of thousands of young Hispanic "Dreamers" who grew up in the US and have been authorised to live and work here under Barack Obama's deportation reprieve.
But Lopez, the main carer for three US citizens – her child and two younger brothers – has been forced to turn down job interviews because she has been denied a driving licence by her home state of Arizona.

She is one of five young undocumented immigrants from the state who filed a class action lawsuit on Wednesday challenging what they say is its unconstitutional and discriminatory policy of depriving them of a driving licence or other state identification.
Jan Brewer, the governor of Arizona, issued an order in August this year to deny recipients of Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program any state identification of any kind, including licences. The DACA order, which was announced in June this year, allows undocumented young immigrants who came to the US as children to live and work here for a renewable period of two years.
The lawsuit was filed in the US district court for the state of Arizona on behalf of the Arizona Dream Act Coalition, an immigrant youth-led organization, Lopez and four other individuals. (The Dream Act is the name given to legislation, delayed in Congress for years, that would grant citizenship to certain undocumented migrants. Aspirant migrants living in the US are known as Dreamers.)
Jennifer Chang Newell, staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union's immigrants' rights project, said: "Jan Brewer is thumbing her nose at the federal government. Federal immigration authorities have lifted the shadow of deportation from these bright and hardworking Dreamers, but Arizona insists on pursuing its own immigration policy aimed at keeping them in the dark."
She said that 87% of workers in Arizona, a state which has a poor public transportation network, drive to work.
"Rather than deny these young people the ability to drive – an everyday necessity for most people – our leaders should come together to enact long-term solutions that would allow our talented immigrant youth to achieve the American dream."
Brewer issued her order on 15 August, the day that the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) began accepting DACA applications. Brewer instructed agencies to "prevent DACA recipients from obtaining eligibility" for any "state identification including a driver's license" the lawsuit says. Arizona's motor vehicle division implemented Brewer's order on September 18.
Previous to the order, according to the lawsuit, DACA recipients would have been able to meet the requirements for a driving licence by submitting their employment authorisation documents. The legal challenge names Brewer as well as officials in the state's department for transportation.
Lopez, who has lived in the United States since she was four and is married to a US citizen, said: "It's hard to take my child to the doctor or help my two little brothers get to school and after school activities without being able to drive."
The high school graduate, who was granted federally deferred action status, including a work permit, in October, said: "Somebody offered me a job interview in Tempe (Arizona), which is about 25 miles away from where I live, but I had to turn it down because I'm not allowed to drive a car."
The lawsuit claims that Arizona's policy violates the supremacy clause of the US constitution by interfering with federal immigration law, and that it also violates the 14th amendment's equal protection clause by discriminating against certain non-citizens.
Linton Joaquin, general counsel of the National Immigration Law Center, said: "Young people like Alejandra have so much to contribute to Arizona. Unfortunately, her effort to fully participate in his community is stymied by governor Brewer's unlawful and wrong-headed executive order, which specifically targets immigrant youth who often know no other home."
An estimated 1.76 million young people in the United States are eligible for the DACA programme, including 80,000 in Arizona, according to the Migration Policy Institute, an independent, non-profit think tank in Washington DC. The USCS has deferred action to at least 53,275 individuals nationwide under the DACA programme, the lawsuit says.
Alessandra Soler, executive director of the ACLU of Arizona, said: "This is a shameless attack on our youth. When our youngest and brightest residents are prevented from getting licenses, going to school or work and pursuing their dreams, entire communities suffer."
The ACLU also said it is continuing to challenge Arizona's notorious SB 1070 immigration law. The US supreme court struck down many of the provisions of the state's SB 1070 law in June this year, but the most controversial part of the law – the clause known as the "show me your papers" provision – that instructs police to investigate the immigration status of those they suspect of being undocumented who they come across in the course of other policing matters – was upheld.

Republican Supreme Court may uphold sb1070! IF THEY DO, Romney will NEVER get the support of 80% of Latino Voters!

The heavily Republican Supreme Court is deciding whether to support the Evil Racial Profiling bill sb1070 which was written by Kris K-K-Kobach and pushed by the impeached State Senator Russell Pearce. La Bruja Jan Brewer came out of today's Supreme Court hearing saying the Republican Justices were in her Racial Profiling favor. So did K-K-Kris Kobach.
This is not good news for all of my fellow American Latinos. If the Republican Supreme Court upholds this racial profiling bill, then all of the 50M American Citizen Latinos are in high jeopardy. We will be just like the victims of Sheriff Arpaio and his masked volunteer goon squad in Maricopa County.
This is very sad news.
However, it is good news in One Respect. The evil Romney and Rubio are clearly supporting this evil racial profiling bill and the Republican Supreme Court.
Let's get this straight, here and now. I promise you this:
IF the Supreme Court supports the racial profiling sb1070, we American Latinos will BLAME ALL Republicans and NONE of us will Vote for Romney! That includes whether he selects HINO Marco Rubio as his VP or not!

Latinos living in Border Towns in Arizona BEWARE! Brewer is passing a bill to fund an Armed Volunteer Army of Masked Goons!

Latinos living in Border Towns in Arizona BEWARE! The Republican-led Arizona Legislature is considering a bill to fund an ARMED, VOLUNTEER (so similar to Arpaio's Volunteer Masked Goon Squad recruited from the White Nationalists) State Militia to respond to emergencies and patrol the U.S.-Mexico border.
La Bruja, Jan Brewer could deploy the volunteer goons using $1.9 million included in the bill making its way through the state Senate. The militia itself was created by a law signed by Brewer last year.
The Arizona Republic reports the bill has a hearing on Tuesday before the state Senate Appropriations Committee. Senate Bill 1083 has already passed one committee primarily on Republican votes. It would provide $500,000 in one-time funding and $1.4 million a year from a gang task force fund.

La Bruja - AZ gov. Jan Brewer attacks again! This time, La Bruja terroristically attacks our President! La Bruja, with absolutely no respect for our President, attacked our President and wagged her evil finger at him. Later, the evil, vicious witch, said she was "afraid" of the scary Black Guy. Oh my! TeaParty Republican Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (La Bruja) Vows to CUT Medicaid for the Neediest of the Poor while Extending Tax Cuts for the Rich!

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer proposed dropping Medicaid coverage for 250,000 people, although she has extended Tax Cuts to Rich Big Business. She "says" her proposal is to help balance the state budget. Brewer discussed Medicaid issues with federal Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in Washington on Monday. Brewer originally proposed dropping coverage for 280,000 people.

It is clear that Brewer is heartless!
Her proposed CUTS will cut 1/5 of the Medicaid budget, cutting off aid to the poorest and neediest recipients, especially those in need of transplants. Without their required surgeries, they will DIE!

Brewer is following, dot to dot, the Republican Agenda.
. Cut Medicaid
. Demolish the Unions
. Cut Aid to the Poor and Middle Class
. Cut Jobs
. Do everything possible to undercut the President so he loses re-election
. YET: Reduce Taxes for the Rich -- Extend Tax Cuts

Additionally, Brewer (La Bruja) continues with her promise to Racially Profile all Latinos by putting in place Racial Profiling laws to stop education and terrorize Latino Neighborhoods.

Brewer LIED About Beheadings in AZ, now she Claims she Mis-spoke. YOU Be the Judge!

Gov. Jan Brewer, who gained National attention defending the state's tough new immigration law and warning of increasing border bloodshed, has spent the time since last week's gubernatorial candidates' debate trying to repair the damage done from her cringe-worthy contest against underdog challenger Terry Goddard.

"That was an Error, IF I said that," the Republican told The Associated Press on Friday. "I MISSPOKE (if I said Beheadings were in Arizona), but you know, let me be clear, I am concerned about the border region (even though violent crime is at a 10 year low in Arizona) because it continues to be reported in Mexico that there's a lot of violence going on and we don't want that going into Arizona."

Jan "La Bruja" Brewer's Puppet Masters: Private Prison Lobbyists from CCA

As I've always blogged, you have to FOLLOW THE MONEY in order to find the root cause for the actions of corrupt politicians.
This CBS5 Investigative report details how Private Prison Lobbyists are filling the pockets of political candidates --specifically of Jan "La Bruja" Brewer. This reports also sheds light on the sb1070 - Correction Facilities of America (CCA) Private Prisons connection:
. 23,000 Immigrants turned over to ICE, numerous detained at CCA facilities.
After this CBS5 investigative report, CCA cancelled all of the Governor's campaign advertising on CBS5-Phoenix.

CBS5-Phoenix reports:
Brewer Linked To Private Prisons Housing Illegal Immigrants
New Questions Raised About Lobbyist Advice
-Morgan Loew, CBS 5 Investigative Reporter
-- Gov. Jan Brewer’s campaign chairman and policy adviser is also a lobbyist for the largest private prison company in the country. Chuck Coughlin is one of two people in the Brewer administration with ties to Corrections Corporation of America (CCA). The other administration member is communications director Paul Senseman, a former CCA lobbyist. His wife still lobbies for the company. According to campaign finance records, CCA executives and employees contributed more than $1,000 to the governor’s re-election campaign. The company’s political action committee and its lobbyists contributed another $60,000 to Brewer’s top legislative priority, Proposition 100, a sales tax to help avoid budget cuts to education.

Caroline Isaacs from the American Friends Service Committee, which advocates for social justice issues, said the money is evidence of influence the company has on the governor. Isaacs said private prison companies have been buying influence in Arizona politics for years. The number of private prisons and jails operating across the state shows the result of that influence, he said. Currently, there are at least 12 for-profit prison, jail and detention facilities in Arizona. Isaacs said the state has something else that attracts these companies. “The other Holy Grail, if you will, of private prison construction is immigrant detention,” Isaac said.

Corrections Corporation of America holds the contract with Immigration and Customs Enforcement to lock up illegal immigrants picked up in Arizona. Tough immigration laws like Arizona's SB 1070 could send thousands of new bodies its way, and millions of dollars. But CCA’s lobbyist and Brewer’s adviser, Chuck Coughlin, told CBS 5 News and other media outlets that there is no connection between his client and illegal immigrants arrested by local law enforcement. Coughlin appeared on KAET TV’s “Horizon” two weeks ago. “When somebody gets arrested, they go to jail. There are no private jails. Those are public jails. ICE has said they are not taking prisoners arrested under that, so there would be no transport into the state prison system when this happens,” he told the host of “Horizon.”

But ICE’s spokesman in Phoenix told CBS 5 News the agency gets most of its detainees from local law enforcement. Records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act Request show Arizona agencies turned over 23,000 illegal immigrants to ICE over the past three years. Hundreds of them ended in up CCA facilities.
Anyone who is a serious criminal or is a flight risk is more than likely going to end up in detention here in Arizona,” said Vinnie Picard from ICE.

CBS 5 News invited Coughlin to explain what he told the governor about the effects of SB 1070 on CCA, but after weeks of negotiating through e-mail, Coughlin backed out of an on-camera interview. He sent CBS 5 News e-mail from CCA, which stated: “CCA has neither directly, nor indirectly attempted to influence immigration policy, including SB 1070, and absolutely did not engage anyone in the Governor’s Office on signature of that bill.”

People like Carline Isaacs, who study the private prison industry, said they don’t buy it. “My reaction to that statement is then why did they give them all that money?” she said. Chuck Coughlin’s company canceled all of the governor’s campaign advertising on CBS 5 News.

Jan "La Bruja" Brewer Melts Down During Debate Last Night! (Looks like the Poor Dear Has Alzheimers! -- Sad!)

During last night's AZ Gubernatorial debate, La Bruja had a melt down. It is very clear (or at least this is what it appears) she is in the early stages of Alzheimers. Very Sad! Her sb1070 supporting, hate mongering puppet masters are jangling her strings. It's too bad they can't do it on Live TV.

Gov Jan "La Bruja" Brewer Cries Crocodile Tears Because her Racial Profiling Bill is on International Report

HP Reports:
Gov. Jan "La Bruja" Brewer stomped her foot Friday saying a reference to the state's controversial racial profiling sb10708 law be removed from a State Department report to the United Nations' human rights commissioner. The U.S. included its legal challenge to the law on a list of ways the federal government is protecting human rights.

In a cry-baby letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brewer wailed it is "downright offensive" that her (and Arpaio's) rampant racial profiling law would be included in the report, which was drafted as part of a UN review of human rights in all member nations every four years. "The idea that our own AZ Racial Profiling law being submitted to 'review' by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional," Brewer wrote.

Arizona's law generally requires police, like arpaio and his masked goons, go to latino neighborhoods to supposedly enforce other laws during their suppression sweeps of latino neighborhoods to investigate the immigration status of people they suspect are illegal immigrants.

Arpaio routinely targets Latino neighborhoods during his suppression sweeps of Latino neighborhoods. Raicst and extremist supporters of sb1070, including Brewer, say the law prohibits racial profiling and other human rights abuses.

The U.S. Justice Department sued to block the measure, arguing federal law trumps the state's authority to enforce immigration laws. A federal judge in July sided with the Justice Department and blocked enforcement of the law's most controversial provisions a day before it was scheduled to take effect.

Update: Turns out La Bruja's foot stomping was just a media stunt. Here is the statement she was supposedly so upset about: "A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined." Looks like La Bruja was just trying to get attention and sympathy for her cause.. over nothing!

sb1070's Jan "La Bruja" Brewer Irrational Claims Refuted by McCain, BPs and Medical Examiners

sb1070's Jan "La Bruja" Brewer has made these ludicrous claims which have been refuted by John McCain, the Border Patrol and six County Medical Examiners:
1st Brewer claim:
. Most undocumented immigrants are coming here and they're bringing drugs
John McCain, TJ Bonner of the National Border Patrol Council and Arizona's sheriff's refuted her ludicrous claims. T.J. Bonner of the National Border Patrol Council told CNN that Brewer’s claims were “clearly not the case. Brewer’s comments, Bonner said, don’t “comport with reality — that’s the nicest way to put it.”
2nd Brewer claim:
. "Our law enforcement agencies have found bodies in the desert either buried or just lying out there that have been beheaded."
However, officials with six county medical examiners offices in the state, including four from counties that border Mexico, say they have never heard of such attacks.
The Arizona Guardian contacted the coroners' offices in Yuma, Pima, Pinal, Maricopa, Santa Cruz and Cochise counties. All of them said they'd never investigated an immigration-related crime in which someone's head had been cut off.
Brewer and sb1070 supporters believe the old political adage: "If you tell a lie often enough it becomes the truth."

If "Official English" ever Passes, Jan "La Bruja" Brewer is in Trouble! She FLUNKED ENGLISH!

Jan (La Bruja) Brewer is NOT an articulate speaker. If an Official English bill ever passes, she will be in serious trouble!

La Bruja
isn't going to win any awards for particularly polished speech. She's stumbled on multisyllabic words such as "exponentially" and "pernicious" in the past, and some verbal tics were again on display at the recent Clean Elections debate for the GOP primary. "I must say that we have did a lot, fighting back with the federal government," she said at one point, joining two verbs that really shouldn't sit adjacent to each other.

And about 38 minutes in, responding to an expressed concern that some undocumented immigrants are leaving the state, Brewer noted, "Maybe some people are leaving, but we don't know if they're legal or unlegal."

The Border Patrol Labor Union says to Jan "La Bruja" Brewer: YOU LIE!

The Border Patrol Labor Union says to Jan "La Bruja" Brewer: YOU LIE!
CNN Reports: A labor union representing nearly 20,000 border patrol agents and staff Friday disputed comments made by Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer that most illegal immigrants coming across the southern border are smuggling drugs. Brewer initially made the comments earlier this month during a debate of Republican gubernatorial candidates. She repeated them Friday when asked by a reporter for the basis of the claim. "Well, we all know that the majority of the people that are coming to Arizona and trespassing are now becoming drug mules," Brewer said. "They're coming across our borders in huge numbers. The drug cartels have taken control of the immigration. "So they are criminals. They're breaking the law when they are trespassing and they're criminals when they pack the marijuana and the drugs on their backs."
When pressed, Brewer explained that many are simply coming to the United States to look for work but "are accosted, and they become subjects of the drug cartels."

T.J. Bonner of the National Border Patrol Council told CNN that Brewer's claims were "clearly not the case." Bonner said Brewer's comments, don't "comport with reality -- that's the nicest way to put it." Brewer's statement is the center of a controversy over a recently passed law that requires law enforcement officials to ascertain the citizenship of the subject of any investigation if they have reason to believe their suspect is in this country illegally. The U.S. Department of Justice is considering whether to file suit against the law.
