Europe is watching the US Tactics Towards Immigrants

I heard a quote attributed to Nietzsche recently that reminded me of the Immigration debate. The quote: "The Poor were made so the Rich could could feel better about themselves." I've been reading about the Immigration issues in Europe. In Europe, France in particular, they are targetting the Roma people. The Roma's immigrated to Europe in the 11th century. A few decades ago, many people referred to the Romas as "gypsies." They are more of an ethnicity vs a race. They are caucasians, generally brown-skinned but many are light skinned. Most references say that more and more Roma people are not self-identifying themselves as Roma for fear of racial profiling/retribution. Andrea Nill from the Wonk Room wrote the following article detailing the issues now being faced by the Romas. What is happening to the Romas is very similar to what is happening to Latinos in America. As Andrea says below, the world is watching what we do here in hopes of mirroring the same policies in their own countries towards their own target groups.

This summer, while the immigration debate broiled in the U.S., the government of France launched a countrywide crackdown on the Roma, an ethnic group with origins in South Asia or Eastern Europe, that drew criticism from both the United Nations and the Roman Catholic Church. And, in a “rare” move, the European Parliament called on France this week to suspend its expulsion of the Roma, accusing French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s government of “targeting Roma as a group” and “ignoring essential European human rights guarantees.”

The total number of Romanian and Bulgarian Roma deported from France so far this year has reached 8,313. The French government has defended its actions by pointing out that the deportations are necessary to combat crime and that they have paid about €300 per expulsion.

However, courts in Lille have stated that many Roma deportation cases “did not meet the legal standard of a real and immediate threat.” A court in Nantes ordered the state to pay damages to the 29 Roma concerned. Critics have described the ramped up expulsions “as part of a drive by Sarkozy to revive his popularity before 2012 elections and divert attention from painful pension reforms and spending cuts.”

The Roma represent the largest ethnic minority group in the European Union and, throughout history, they have been the target of persecution. The immigration debate in Europe is by no means limited to neither the Roma nor to France. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has praised France’s expulsion of Roma as a model to follow and accused the left of wanting an “invasion of foreigners.” Muslim, African, and Latin American immigrants have also been common targets of European xenophobia.

All of this is despite the fact that the European continent’s population is aging so fast that it desperately “needs young newcomers to fill the gaps.” Nonetheless, a survey released this week by the Financial Times found that many Europeans have a negative view of immigration.

Ultimately, during this modern era of globalization, almost every nation — including the U.S. — is grappling with the immigration issue in one way or another. But Europe’s harsh response to the influx of newcomers doesn’t diminish what is happening in Arizona, nor does it make it okay. If anything, immigrant-receiving nations throughout the world are keeping a careful eye on the U.S. to see how the longtime “nation of immigrants” deals with the issue. And rather than adopting the marginalizing policies that have aggravated Europe’s immigration woes, the U.S. would be better off leading the way in building a humane immigration system that’s in tune with today’s modern global economy.

ANTI's True Agenda: Latino Ethnic Cleansing; Message to our President

The extreme right is getting anxious to stir up the mainstream and independents. They want mainstream America to support their agenda. They want mainstream America to support sb107o. They want mainstream America to support bills like sb1070 in every state across America. They want mainstream America to support Mass Deportation of the 12M here. Of course they've only allowed mainstream America to take a tiny peak at their agenda. They've white-washed their agenda by pretending this is about the "rule of law."

Over the last few months, they have hyped up a few incidents to draw attention to their agenda. We have seen this with the Robert Krentz murder, though no perpetrator has ever been identified. We have seen this with the hyped up shooting of deputy puroll, though no perpetrators have ever been identified and many in law enforcement doubt his story. We are seeing this with the reportedly fake Zeta Cartel story pushed by Jeff Schwilk and his minions. These extremists paint the picture of an all-out war on the border, weapons blazing, ethno-centric latinos foaming with rage and frenzy demanding open borders. They pretend crime is up on the border when it is down. Sheriffs on the border tell us it is peaceful and quiet on the border, as it has been for decades.

They LIE to push their agenda.

Obviously they see their little ploys are not working. Their LIES are now being exposed by their own bloggers. I imagine they must be getting frustrated. Local Sheriffs are telling the truth about Peace on the border. Many news sources are reporting these same facts. Their own bloggers are exposing their lies. In-fighting is growing amongst them (eg: Gheen vs Digger). Their racial profiling bill sb1070 is stalled in the courts. You would think they would back off and assess their situation.

But no. Instead, they have upped their ante by exposing more of their ANTI-Latino agenda:
. Changing the 14th amendment (birthright citizenship)
. Official English (no more Spanish in govt or voting documents)
. Reduce Immigration quotas from non-white countries
. Mass Deportation of the 12M here plus their children

Their hope, by prematurely exposing their plans, is to gain more supporters for their true agenda -- the Ethnic Cleansing of America. They want to STOP the census bureau's prediction of a majority minority in the USA by 2040.

My advice to the President and to Janet Napolitano: You've kept your Secure Borders promise. No one can argue with that. As far as ICE deportations, please ensure they are only felonious criminals being "swept up." We all support that process. In November, after the election, move forward quickly to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform - especially including the Dream Act. Do this by 1st Quarter 2011. You cannot wait any longer. At that point, Republicans who are still in office will have come back to their senses and will then support CIR. Pass it and end this fight. The far right extremists are beyond help and beyond sanity. Who knows what they are capable of doing. Just end this fight and do what is best for America once and for all. Pass CIR.

AZ Gov Brewer Ousts AG Terry Goddard Replacing him with Racist FAIR's Attorneys to support ethnic cleansing sb1070!

AZ Governor Brewer is at it again. She is so desperate to be elected Governor for the 1st time that she is ousting AZ Attorney General Terry Goddard and said she will rely on her own legal team to defend sb1070 in court. However, she can't do it. As AG Goddard says, Brewer can't kick him off the case because she CAN'T invoke the provision because it HASN'T TAKEN EFFECT YET and there are constitutional questions.

Now let's think about this a second.
1. Who wrote the bill? Kris Kobach, a constitutional lawyer.
2. What group does he belong to? White Nationalist John Tanton's group F.A.I.R. The ADL says FAIR is a Racist HATE Group.
3. Who is on Brewer's legal team? Kris Kobach and members from FAIR.
4. Why would FAIR's Kobach put verbiage in the bill that allows the governor to invoke a provision in the bill to remove the AG and put in her own team, which includes Koback and FAIR members? Because FAIR wants this bill to stand so they can implement this same racial profiling bill in states across the country so they can continue their "Attrition through Enforcement" Mass Deportation policy. That's Mass Deportation of 12M people over the next 4 - 5 years.
Also remember: This bill criminalizes friends and neighbors of the 12M. That means many Latino citizens will have their cars seized, $1,000 fines, class 3 misdemeanors.
5. What is next in FAIRs planning? Once this bill is passed in all states in the Union, then they will include additional bills (as they are doing in AZ) to:
a. ban undocumented children from schools
b. change the 14th ammendment to end Birthright citizenship
c. citizen children deported along with their parents (per Duncan Hunter Jr)
d. Mandatory English Only; stopping the printing of all government documents in any other language except English, especially voting forms; no interpreters allowed.
e. Reducing the rate of new (legal) Immigrants from Latin Countries.

These are all part of white nationalist John Tanton's "ethnic cleansing" plans for America. His protege, Roy Beck from Tanton's other group Numbers USA talks about the need of reducing Latinos in our country in his Immigration Gumballs video. The above "Ethnic Cleansing" video was created in 2002 by a white nationalist group. That is John Tanton's ultimate aim.
