Liberals and Minorities MUST Learn the Scott Brown Lesson: WIN Through Reconciliation!

Liberals and Minorities MUST Learn the Scott Brown Lesson. Only winning counts.

Liberals and Minorities do not vote en masse during non-presidential elections. We stay home. And, our side loses. Republicans and Teabaggers generally go to the polls during ALL election times. History has proven they generally win the non-presidential elections. We only have ourselves to blame. We don't show up.

We Liberals and Minorities must also learn: Bi-partisanship DOES NOT WORK!!!

We should never compromise our principles. We need to stand firm, as the Republicans always do, to our causes.

We allowed the Healthcare Bill to be watered down for the sake of bi-partisanship.

We cannot allow the same for Comprehensive Immigration Reform.

There is only one thing that will work: Reconciliation!

We must Remember this throughout 2010!!!

Racist Glenn Beck Incites his 912 Teabaggers to Demonize the President, No Minorities Allowed and he Doesn't Even Show Up in Washington!

The Glenn Beck brain-washed, good ole boy throngs of angry Tea-Baggers numbering +40K filled the streets of Washington DC yesterday. They were bought and paid for by FreedomWorks, the Healthcare-Providers' lobby. Nary a minority was present, except for a few reporters and one ole boy who brought his brain-washed mail-order African bride. The vast majority of the signs the angry mobs carried lashed out against President Obama, calling him a Socialist, Nazi, Hitler, Joker.

In the background, a country band sang, "Speak English Only." Other songs depicted so-called patriotic words, sang with anger and unpatriotic HATE against our President, Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank. All signs were exactly as their Jim Crow leader, Glenn Beck, asked them to create. These throngs sang Beck's and Fox News' praises for their treasonous promotions of attacks against our President.

Though the brainwashed teabaggers were numerous, one person was famously absent. Who? Glenn Beck. Lord and Master, King of the 912 teabaggers, did not show up for his own event. Why should he? He and Fox have already received their 30 pieces of silver from the Healthcare Provider lobby. Beck is not one of the "little people." He just forms the crowds and fuels them with the 3 L's: Lies, Lies and more Lies! The blind following teabaggers believe him. See this video. They do not even know Beck's preachings. All they know is:
Beck and Fox News Good! Black Obama bad---zzztttringpop...
Beck and Fox News Good! Black Obama bad---zzztttringpop...
Beck and Fox News Good! Black Obama bad---zzztttringpop...
Beck and Fox News Good! Black Obama bad---zzztttringpop...
(in their blind hypnotic trance -- see this video for proof! Notice how this person channels Beck when she mimicks his words like "Hitleresque")

Shameful Republicans: Rep Jenkins LAUGHS and Ridicules Young Mom Asking about the Public Option!

Topeka’s U.S. Rep. Lynn Jenkins (R-KS) apparently has no empathy for someone without health insurance, even when they are standing before her in a public forum. Young mom Elizabeth Smith is a 27-year-old Ottawa, KS waitress who has a 2 1/2-year-old son and cannot afford health insurance. She has not been able to see a doctor in nearly 2 years. The only access has been through the ER, which as we know, is the most expensive way to deliver care. She went to a Town Hall Meeting to ask Rep. Jenkins for help in supporting the public option so that she and other young, poor American Mom's like her can have affordable health insurance.
Here is the discussion:

Elizabeth Smith: I’m a 27 year-old single mother. I work full-time. I do not have health insurance. My employer does not provide health insurance to me and I cannot afford it privately. Why shouldn’t my government guarantee all of its citizens health care?

Jenkins: Thank you. I’m sorry, maybe you missed my opening remarks, but absolutely. That’s why we have Medicaid in the current system and that’s why under the alternative proposal we have an option for low-to-modest-income people to be able to afford health care and then we’ve got the SCHIP program for children. I think we’ve got all of the bases covered.

Audience member: She’s not covered under SCHIP!

Jenkins: OK, if you’re not then you’re the perfect example for why we need reform and why we
need it now but we have to do it right and if we can do an alternative proposal, as I’m suggesting, give you the money to go buy it in a reformed marketpace where it is affordable, that’s my preference rather than to saddle the nation with yet another government program when they can’t afford the government run programs we have.

Elizabeth Smith: I want an option that I can pay for. I work. I pay my bills. I’m not a burden on the state. I pay my taxes. So why can’t I get an affordable option. Why are you against that?

Jenkins: A government run program (laugh) is going to subsidize not only yours (laugh) but everybody in this room. So I’m not sure what we’re talking about here.

Jenkins: I think it comes down to the whole discussion of…

(The crowd erupts. Some say "What's wrong with that!" At this point, it’s safe to say even they aren’t buying Jenkins position…)

Lynn: OK folks. Let’s be respectful. UH-OH (talking over crowd). We’re gonna make time for everybody. We’re gonna all listen to each other respectfully, even if we disagree. I think
we can agree we need reforms, again it’s just how we gonna do it. I believe people should be given the opportunity to take care of themselves with an advancebale tax credit to go be a grown-up and go buy the insurance.

One Brave Soul Moves Forward: 1st "Gang of 6" member backs Reconciliation for Healthcare

A Brave Democratic Senator, Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico, a member of the "Gang of Six" Senate Finance Committee charged with finding a solution to healthcare reform, has announce he is willing to support using the budget reconciliation process to push a bill through the Senate if necessary.

Reconciliation is a parliamentary procedure that would allow Democrats to pass health care reform with 51 votes, meaning the party could do it without any Republican support. His willingness to consider reconciliation is another sign that Republicans are unwilling to seriously participate in bipartisan healthcare reform discussions and a bipartisan bill is impossible. Bingaman, recognizing the need for Healthcare Reform has signalled the Democrats can and will go it alone if necessary.

"We made a provision in the budget resolution that Reconciliation could be used to try to enact health care provisions related to health care reform," Bingaman said. "There are restrictions to what you can include in that...but I would support it if that's the only way."

Non-budget-related items typically can't be passed using reconciliation, but Democrats are eying ways that would allow them to include those provisions, as well. Reconciliation would be a difficult legislative path to walk, but it raises pressure on Republicans who are considering supporting the Democratic effort. If Democrats go it alone, those Republicans, such as Maine's Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins, would be left out of the process.
