While Romney attempts to Distance himself from Extremists, Russell Pearce Tells Congress Romney Told Him sb1070 was a Role Model!

WASHINGTON -- Expelled/Recalled former Arizona State Sen. Russell Pearce, a Republican behind the state's contested immigration law, SB 1070, said on Tuesday he "absolutely" believed Mitt Romney had endorsed the law as a model for the country. "The folks that he's said [are] his advisers on this, I have worked with for years and have great confidence and trust in them," Pearce told reporters after a Senate subcommittee hearing on the immigration law." The Romney campaign made a concerted effort last week to point out that the candidate has called another immigration law "a model" for the nation. That law would require employers to verify the immigration status of potential hires using a federal government program called E-Verify. SB1070 -- the bill introduced by Pearce in 2010 and signed into law by Gov. Jan Brewer (R), though portions of the legislation have since been blocked -- similarly allows police to inquire about immigration status in some situations, among other enforcement provisions.--THIS EVEN THOUGH ROMNEY IS TRYING TO LIE ABOUT HIS PAST AND KISS UP TO LATINOS FOR THEIR VOTES!! 

Romney is attempting to backpaddle away from his comments at an Arizona debate in February, though widely read as an endorsement of SB 1070, refer specifically to the separate E-Verify law. "I think you see a model here in Arizona," Romney said at the time. "They passed a law here that says that people who come here and try to find work, that the employer is required to look them up on E-Verify. This E-Verify system allows employers in Arizona to know who's here legally and who's not here legally. And as a result of E-Verify being put in place, the number of people in Arizona that are here illegally has dropped by some 14 percent."

Pearce said Tuesday that he hadn't heard anything to indicate Romney did not believe SB 1070 should be a model. Romney has said repeatedly that he supports the Arizona's right to pass such a law and would drop a federal lawsuit against it were he elected -- perhaps not an explicit endorsement, but one that implies he supports the law, at least for Arizona. Romney also has advocated for what he called "self-deportation," or making things difficult for undocumented immigrants until they decide to leave, one of the central tenets of the Arizona law. One of his informal advisers on immigration, SB 1070 architect and Kansas secretary of state Kris Kobach, supports the law as a model for nationwide enforcement.
"[Self-deportation] is in SB 1070," Pearce said.

Utah Extremists Upset Over Prayer in Spanish! (1st the Illegal List! Now Upset over Prayers!)

KSL.com reports: HYRUM, Utah (AP) -- The Hyrum City Council is being criticized for allowing the closing prayer at the city's Fourth of July program to be given in Spanish. Councilwoman Stephanie Miller was in charge of coordinating the city's Independence Day celebration. Miller said she didn't intend to offend anyone, but wanted to accommodate the nervous Spanish-speaking pastor asked to deliver the prayer. Maria Montalvo, of Hyrum's Church of God Ebenezer, asked if the prayer could be offered in Spanish and translated into English. "She does speak some English, but she was uncomfortable with standing in front of everyone and speaking English," Miller said. "She asked if we would mind if she did it in Spanish, and we didn't see that there was a problem with that as long as it was translated."

The decision has been criticized as unpatriotic and wrong in a flurry of recent letters to the Logan Herald Journal. One letter, from LaVon G. Hanson, a World War II veteran from Logan, called for the city council to be "impeached and sent to Mexico."

Councilman Paul James said he was surprised to hear the Spanish prayer but didn't think it was inappropriate, "because listening to the prayer, it was very patriotic." Miller said she has apologized to some critics, but does not regret the decision. Still, she said she won't have the prayer offered in Spanish next year.

And while some have suggested that the city bar prayers of any kind at the patriotic program, Miller said that won't happen. "We are Americans (and have) freedom of religion," she said. "We're not forcing anybody to participate that doesn't want to."

I think it is extremely important to understand the content of sb1070. After all, FAIR's Kris Kobach wrote the bill and his intent is Attrition through Enforcement = Mass Deportation. Kobach delights in the fact that he is "going to make their lives a living hell" with this bill.

Read the section of the bill below. When this bill is enacted, it will force every person giving anyone a ride in their car to ask every Brown person for their passport. Why? If you are stopped and a person in your car has lapsed papers and you kind of know their papers are lapsed, the police are going to arrest you, take your car and fine you. This is like being arrested because someone in your car doesn't have Car Insurance.
Remember, 40% of the 12M are Visa Overstays. Most of the 12M have been here 5 - 20 years. They may be trying to correct their status. Or maybe it's your brother-in-law. You can never give him a ride again. You can never invite him into your home. Or maybe it's your neighbors children. You can't carpool. Or maybe they belong to your church. The church can be found guilty. You are a legal citizen and you may know a few people at your Thanksgiving family dinner. Now they can arrest ALL of you. No wonder Arpaio is salivating at the thought of the next suppression sweeps in Latino towns once this bill is enacted. He will take all of their cars, charge them with a class 1 misdemeanor and force them to pay $1,000 fine for EACH person there. Imagine the carnage!
