The wife of fiercely pro-life presidential hopeful Rick Santorum had a six-year love affair with an abortion doctor, 40 years her senior - who, incredibly, delivered her as a baby - it has emerged.
Karen Santorum, 51, who, like her husband, opposes abortion even in cases of rape and doesn't believe in using birth control, lived with Pittsburgh abortion pioneer Dr Thomas E. Allen for most of her 20s in the 1980s.
When she met Dr Allen, Mrs Santorum, who then went by the name Karen Garver, was a 22-year-old nursing student who shared his liberal views on abortion and enjoyed life as the younger lover of the 63-year-old divorcee and man-about-town, according to friends.
The image of Mrs Santorum living with her progressive playboy boyfriend stands in sharp contrast to the matronly devout Catholic mother of seven that she plays on the campaign trail.

Rep. Giffords was also on Sarah Palin's "target list."

As noted earlier, a gun was dropped at a Giffords event in 2009, and her office was vandalized in March.

Traitorous Tea Party Marchers Turn Violent and Racist Shouting Ni**er and Fa**ot and Assault Congressmen

Preceding the president's speech to a gathering of House Democrats, thousands of protesters descended around the Capitol to protest the passage of health care reform. The gathering quickly turned into abusive heckling, as members of Congress passing through Longworth House office building were subjected to epithets and even mild physical abuse. A staffer for Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) told reporters that Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) had been spat on (ASSAULT) by a protestor. Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), a hero of the civil rights movement, was called a 'ni--er.' And Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) was called a "faggot," as protestors shouted at him with deliberately lisp-y screams. Frank, approached in the halls after the president's speech, shrugged off the incident. But Clyburn was downright incredulous, saying he had not witnessed such treatment since he was leading civil rights protests in South Carolina in the 1960s.

"It was absolutely shocking to me," Clyburn said, in response to a question from the Huffington Post. "Last Monday, this past Monday, I stayed home to meet on the campus of Claflin University where fifty years ago as of last Monday... I led the first demonstrations in South Carolina, the sit ins... And quite frankly I heard some things today I have not heard since that day. I heard people saying things that I have not heard since March 15, 1960 when I was marching to try and get off the back of the bus." "It doesn't make me nervous as all," the congressman said, when asked how the mob-like atmosphere made him feel. "In fact, as I said to one heckler, I am the hardest person in the world to intimidate, so they better go somewhere else."

Asked if he wanted an apology from the group of Republican lawmakers who had addressed the crowd and, in many ways, played on their worst fears of health care legislation, the Democratic Party, and the president, Clyburn replied: "A lot of us have been saying for a long time that much of this, much of this is not about health care at all. And I think a lot of those people today demonstrated that this is not about health care... it is about trying to extend a basic fundamental right to people who are less powerful."

This afternoon, the Congressman was walking into the Capitol to vote, when one protester spat on him. The Congressman would like to thank the US Capitol Police officer who quickly escorted the others Members and him into the Capitol, and defused the tense situation with professionalism and care. After all the Members were safe, a full report was taken and the matter was handled by the US Capitol Police. The man who spat on the Congressman was arrested, but the Congressman has chosen not to press charges. He has left the matter with the Capitol Police.

Sometime early this morning, someone threw a brick through the front window of her Pine Avenue office.
The damage was discovered about 12:30 a.m., city police said.

Teabaggers say this is Really Not Racism: "Mexicans Are Filthy Stinking Animals"

Mainstream media has time and again given the Tea Party and teabaggers a free pass and the benefit of the doubt when it comes to their use of racism to recruit and engage followers.
If they use bigoted, discriminatory language, it's really purely as a matter of argument. If they spew spiteful rhetoric at their rallies, it's really only one portion of the group - not everyone. If Tom Tancredo advocates for a literacy test to be eligible to vote, it's really just a way of saying that we must all come together under one nation. If they call us - Mexicans - filthy stinking animals, well they were only referring to the illegal ones anyhow.

Enough. Racism is racism, there is no excuse for it and has no place in America's public discourse. Their attempt to use racism as a legitimate tool to further a political, economic and anti-immigration agenda is tantamount to the propagandizing of fear as a tool to incite to action. It is using violent words for violent action. Tea Party members argue that to brand the use of racism in Tea Baggers' rhetoric is to miss the point of their overall argument. Going to the extent of pushing to the frontlines minority members who allegedly admit that as minorities they were part of a "cradle-to-grave government dependency." In the meantime in the backlines they push to isolate minorities as the cause for all the national ills.

What is becoming quite evident is that Tea Party/Tea Baggers are not even aware of their harmful rhetoric. They seemingly cannot disassociate the economic argument from a racial perspective. There is a link, they argue - and that link is valid to present. Their reluctance to admit that this is the essence of their argument is a sign that they are oblivious to the harm their words are having on communities, like the Latino community, as a whole.One explanation could be in how the Tea Party came to be. In their quest to grow what they call a "movement", to recruit followers and to stay relevant they have to resort to incendiary language because that represents their expanded base and their growth. This is how protests get their hundreds of followers and how their rallies become animated. Without it, there is no spectacle, no media attention: (see video)

Yet, when it comes to putting a national, political face and when it comes to their relationship with the GOP they move quickly to "disassociate" themselves from that "small fraction" of the group; in an attempt to encourage politicians to take on their mantra.
Again, enough is enough. In the process the community that has gotten hurt the most has been the Latino community and it is time we stood up to the attacks.
If Teabaggers use racism as a recruiting tool, Latinos must expose this racism.
If they want to link our race to an economic argument, Latinos must show how our culture and contribution has actually been a key factor to halt the downward economic spiral.
If they want to recruit politicians to use us as guinea pigs for their political experiment, we must warn our representatives of the consequences of their actions.
Finally if Teabaggers use Latinos to scare folks into recruitment - then Latinos:
It is time to show what a real political movement is. Let's strengthen our movement today.

Tea Party Leader Mark Williams Makes Fool of Himself on CNN

Teabagger Leader Mark Williams was on "Anderson Cooper 360" yesterday and showed the world why they shouldn't take the Teabaggers seriously. Williams denounced his teabaggers who carried ANTI Obama signs saying they were "no more part of the mainstream of America than the hippies who wear nipple clips and feather boas in San Francisco streets during so-called peace demonstrations." Message to Teabaggers: Make sure you wear your Boas and Nipple Clips when you carry your hate-filled Obama signs.

Now to Williams' Hypocrisy: Anderson Cooper then said: "What you're saying makes sense to me here when I'm hearing what you say but then I read on your blog, you say, you call the President an Indonesian Muslim turned welfare thug and a racist in chief."

Remember, Williams chastised the Obama sign carriers. Yet, when Cooper asks Williams about his own demonization of the President, Williams actually NODDED and responded, "Yeah, that's the way he's behaving."

An obviously shocked Anderson Cooper then asked Williams if he really believed Obama is an Indonesian Muslim and a welfare thug. This IDIOT dug the hole even deeper: "He's certainly acting like it. Until he embraces the whole country what else can I conclude." (Williams left fellow guests Carville and Gergen in shocked disbelief that Williams would actually admit to these idiotic, racist claims on National television!)

Teabagger Leader Williams certainly makes it CLEAR!
