Rand Paul Doesn't Understand Bankruptcy and says Obama Will Bail Out Detroit ‘Over My Dead Body’

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) DOES NOT Understand the Impacts of Bankruptcy and said he will use every resource he has at his disposal to stop President Barack Obama from bailing out newly-bankrupt Detroit because he believes the city can and must save itself and learn from its fiscal mistakes.
“I basically say he [Obama] is bailing them out over my dead body because we don’t have any money in Washington.”

Rand Paul's Silly Filibuster was a Cloaked Attack Against Our President

This past week, we witnessed Rand Paul's 13 Hour Filibuster. It was actually a cloaked attack against our President and Paul's announcement that he is running for President in 2016.
His entire argument was Silly! Ridiculous! Confusing! However it did accomplish one thing. It caused the media to pay attention to him since it confused both Progressives and his Tea Party base.

There are two issues:
1. Should we use Drones domestically?
2. Should we torture/kill Americans we suspect of terrorism with no due process?

These are two separate and distinct questions. His silly argument answered neither of them. Instead he confused both Progressives and his Tea Party base by mish-mashing both issues together non-sensically, asking "Will Drones be used domestically to kill American Citizens." He further skewed any possible logic by offering weird examples, including: would this authority have enabled us to kill Jane Fonda during her protests of the Vietnam War.

Rand Paul is so conniving. He was purposely confusing.

Here's how Rand Paul confused his Tea-Party base: Rand Paul utilized significant innuendo to portray our President as Hitler and purposely suggested our President would use Drones to kill innocent Americans domestically. If you don't think so, then you should have heard the Bill Bennett "Morning in America" show on Friday (March 8). I listen to right wing Talk Radio in the  mornings just so I can hear their perspective. The Guest Host, Mark Davis said, "It's not that we don't want our Presidents to have Executive Authority. It's that we don't want THIS President to have this kind of Executive Authority." Then, he proceeded with the typical right wing rant of, "They're after your guns. They're after your freedoms." On and on he went, with the right wing's typical scare tactics, referencing our President as a "King" "His Highness" threatening to come down hard on militia types. Rand Paul and right wing republicans utilize these types of scare tactics to keep their base happy, threatened and in their corner.

Here's how Rand Paul confused Progressives:
1. Should we use Drones domestically?
He knew any discussion against Drones would be welcomed by certain Progressives because they've been against Drones since inception. Paul wasn't saying he was against Drones. However, his argument was so broad, he misled the Progressives.
Republicans have been FOR DRONES for years. Currently, they are used in city after city, by law enforcement, local businesses and city officials. Here are two recent articles;
a. CityCouncil unanimously approves drone aircraft (Monroe, NC)
b. Arlington to Launch Unmanned Aircraft (Arlington, TX)
They are also used by Border Patrol to monitor the Border.

For question 2: Should we torture/kill Americans we suspect of terrorism with no due process?
Again, Rand Paul Bloviated for 13 hours using silly, silly examples. Jane Fonda protesting the Vietnam War? (Oh Brother!) Again, he received applause from Progressives who are against any type of torture. But Rand Paul was just pandering for attention.
Most Republicans are for Torture. They praise Water-Boarding. They praise Gitmo.
Most don't oppose not using due process for Americans participating in terrorist acts. One example is Adam Pearlman (aka: Adam Yahiye Gadahn). He is a Senior Operative in al Qaeda AND he is an American. He was a Senior Adviser to Bin Laden and praised the 9/11 attacks.
If Rand Paul was serious about his filibuster topic, he would have used Gadahn as an example. This example was what the Policy was proposing -- on foreign soil, not domestic. But Rand Paul never mentioned him. Instead he strayed off topic, on and on for 13 hours. All, just to gain attention. Ultimately, he made a fool of himself, outed his intention to run for President in 2016, and earned the wrath and ridicule of his own party.

TeaParty Tea'd Off That Goverment Didn't Shut Down!

Tea Party members Michele Bachmann, Rand Paul blast budget deal and John Boehner The Tea Party is steamed over DC's budget deal. While President Obama, Senate majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) hailed Friday night's eleventh hour accord to avoid a government shutdown as "historic," several Tea Party members did not feel the same way. Tea Party queen Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) whined the $39-billion slashing deal a "disappointment." "Millions of Americans expected $100 billion in cuts and "wanted to make sure their tax dollars stopped flowing to the nation's largest abortion provider, and who wanted us to defund ObamaCare," Bachmann cried in a statement. "Instead, we've been asked to settle for $39 billion in cuts, even as we continue to fund Planned Parenthood and the implementation of ObamaCare." Bachmann, who is considering running for President in 2012, voted against a temporary bill to keep the government running while the deal moves through Congress. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) echoed Bachmann's diatribe. He said he feels the aversion of the government shutdown does "not set us on a path to fixing the spending and debt problems our country is facing. (I believe) There is not much of a difference between a $1.5 trillion deficit and a $1.6 trillion deficit-both will lead us to a debt crisis that we may not recover from." Both Paul and Bachmann were clear in their remarks. Anything other than a COMPLETE Government Shutdown is a Republican/Tea Party Failure.

Rand Paul in the Pocket of Big Business -- Says we ALL work for Rich People and We Better Not Tax Them!

TeaParty favorite, newly elected Senator Rand Paul was asked why the tax cuts should be extended to the highest 2% of the rich when the tax cuts were supposed to be temporary. Paul, staring very naively into the camera said: "There are no rich, there are no middle class, there are no poor...We all either work for rich people or we sell stuff to rich people so just punishing rich people is as bad for the economy is as bad as punishing anyone."

Hmmm. Let's see. The last time I heard a statement this naive was from Queen Marie Antoinette. Back in the 1700s, when asked what to do about the starving peasants in the midst of a national famine in her country who could not afford bread, she said: "No Bread? Then let them eat cake!" (As she stared naively into the interviewers presence)

Oh I know the Teaparty Rand Paul supporters will defend him and say we do all work for the Rich and it makes sense for them to continue to pay little to no taxes. Taxing them less means they will hire more people. La la la. What a fairy tale. All this means is they get bigger bonuses and the opportunity to ship more jobs overseas. It's like saying none of us should pay taxes. Let's stop all city, state and federal services. Think of the jobs this will create. The street lights will stop working. More accidents. More need for doctors and nurses and pharmaceuticals and morticians. Think of all the jobs. And, we will ALL EAT CAKE!

"You have to look at entitlements," he said.

TeaPartier Rand Paul Says: Suck It Up, Unemployed – Get a Job Already

First he stated he wanted to end the Civil Rights Act and allow discrimination against minorities in restaurants and businesses. Next he said he wanted to rescind the Disabilities Act saying those with disabilities should just stick to the first floor and deal with steps. Now, he is saying to the unemployed: Suck it Up! Go get a job! -- Rand Paul -- I say you are you are completely out of touch!
Blue Wave News reports:
Rand Paul, an eye surgeon and the Tea Party-backed Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Kentucky, believes that the long-term unemployed of America just have their expectations set too darned high. According to Paul, the tens of thousands of Americans who have nearly exhausted their unemployment benefits and who will soon be in dire straits because the Senate failed to pass an emergency extension this month, could have had jobs a long time ago if they were just willing to settle for ones that paid less than the ones they lost. Paul, who apparently has never had the bad luck to experience long-term unemployment – the kind where jobs are already scarce, half your job market is looking for work, and there’s serious competition even for low-paying jobs you can’t get hired for anyway because your work experience screams “over-qualified” – got on the air Friday with Lexington radio host Sue Wylie and had the nerve to tell people who are desperate, demoralized and worried about destitution that their carefree lives of leisure need to come to an end. He called it “tough love.”

“As bad as it sounds, ultimately we do have to sometimes accept a wage that’s less than we had at our previous job in order to get back to work and allow the economy to get started again,” Paul said. “Nobody likes that, but it may be one of the tough love things that has to happen.” Possibly because his understanding of the plight of the jobless is so stunningly superficial and academic, Paul fully endorsed the Republican filibuster that successfully blocked passage of the $120 million bill that would have extended benefits for the unemployed.

Paul said he supports the filibuster. If the Senate thinks the bill is necessary, it needs to find the money to pay for it elsewhere in the federal budget rather than add to the $13 trillion national debt, he said. “It’s all a matter of making priorities,” Paul said. “Some tough decisions will have to be made.” Rand, have you ever had to decide which utility bill gets ignored this month because there simply isn’t enough money to pay all of them? Have you ever tried to find an outfit for a job interview by poking through the racks of worn, stained clothing at the Goodwill store? Have you ever spent time agonizing over whether your child’s cough was severe enough that it warranted a trip to the doctor, because if you spent money on an office call, you would be short on cash for food for the rest of the week?

Those are “tough decisions,” Doctor Paul. Those are cases of people “making priorities.” Families whose providers have been jobless for months or a year or even more are not living it up, sir. They are scraping to get by. If there are folks on unemployment who aren’t taking jobs because they pay less than their unemployment benefits, it’s not because they refuse to work for less than they made at their old jobs – it’s because they are barely making it as it is and can’t afford to take a penny less! If a family is struggling to make ends meet with unemployment benefits, how dare a man with a medical practice and family connections in politics lecture them about “accepting a lower-paying job” and act like cutting off the only money keeping them off the street is some sort of character-building exercise?

The long-term unemployed are not a bunch of lazy rabble who think they’ve found the perfect gravy train. You may think that once their benefits end, they will race right out and “find” jobs because they’ve just been kicking back collecting those checks every week. What about the people who wind up losing their homes, who end up in homeless shelters or on the streets? What excuse will your libertarian imagination dream up to blame those people for their plight? You want tough love, Doctor Paul, diligent healer of human vision? Ditch the rug. Nobody with working eyes believes that’s your real hair.

Rand Paul's Racist Comments Prompt Kentucky to Adopt Non-Racist Resolutions!

(AP) Reports- The Kentucky Senate, reacting to a divisive comment (to rescind Civil Rights laws) by Republican Rand Paul, has adopted a resolution declaring any form of discrimination to be inconsistent with American values. Louisville Democratic Sen. Gerald Neal introduced the resolution Friday during a special session on the state budget. It was adopted without objection in the predominantly Republican chamber.

Neal, Kentucky's only black state senator, said he took personal offense at the comment made last week by Paul, a U.S. Senate candidate, who was criticizing the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Paul said in an MSNBC interview that the federal government shouldn't have the power to force restaurants to serve minorities if business owners don't want to.

Neal said Paul's "extreme belief" has made Kentucky "a laughingstock."

Maniac Rand Paul Against Civil Rights, Americans with Disabilities and Now Wants to Outlaw Citizens!

Rand Paul is a MANIAC! First, he said he wants to rescind the Civil Rights Act by allowing segregation again. Next he said he wants to rescind the Americans with Disabilities Act by allowing businesses to NOT PROVIDE ACCESS to Americans with Disabilities. He suggested people in wheelchairs be given work spaces in the Lobby (what a loon). He suggested rescinding ALL Healthcare including Medicare. Now he said he wants to rescind the Constitution's Birthright Citizenship Laws. Like the White Supremists, he is advocating rescinding the citizenship of those born in the USA to workers whose papers may have lapsed. He also is NOT in favor of Mass Deportation. He wants them to work and the fruits of their labor, but he doesn't ever want them to become legal (slave labor). He also advocates an underground electrical fence on the Mexican border.

Jus Soli - Birthright Citizenship, is the law of the land in many countries (though Paul pretended not to know this). Countries with Jus Soli include: France, Canada, Brazil and in many countries in Europe and across the Americas. It was the law of the land in Germany too, until Hitler came to power in Nazi Germany (and we know how that ended). Modification of jus soli has been criticized as contributing to economic inequality, the perpetuation of unfree labour from a helot underclass, and statelessness.

Chris Rock is Right: Tea Party Activists Support Rand Paul's Segregationist Views

Chris Rock was right when he said, "They've been asking me to join them in their fight against the Mexicans but I ain't gonna do it because I know when they kick out all the Mexicans, we're Next!"

Rock is absolutely right and this is proven in the statements of Tea Party Champion Rand Paul. Now Tea Party activists are saying they agree with Paul! Paul was criticized Wednesday for saying in a series of interviews that he would have opposed forcing private businesses to integrate under the landmark 1964 law that banned racial discrimination. Paul clarified his remarks Thursday, saying he agrees with the goals of the law but questions the federal government imposing its will on businesses – a view consistent with his long-held libertarian beliefs but leaving him open to criticisms that he would allow racial discrimination.

And as Paul tried to explain his take on the civil rights law Friday, he has added fuel to the fire with criticism of President Obama for being too tough on oil company BP PLC in his handling of the spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tea Party Champion Rand Paul supports Jim Crow Law "No Minorities Allowed" and also supports Gulf Oil Spiller BP

Washingtonpost reports: Rand Paul, teaparty champion, opposes the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The issue was front and center because Paul had earlier told the Louisville Courier-Journal that "I don't like the idea of telling private business owners" what to do. He said he is not in favor of discrimination. He would have marched with Martin Luther King Jr. However, he supports the (Jim Crow) law's ban on bias in public institutions. "Am I a bad person? Do I believe in awful things? No," Paul said. But he would not, despite repeated prodding, say the government should legally bar private institutions from discrimination.
Washingtonpost reports: Rand Paul (Rep Sen candidate) supports BP (Gulf Oil Spiller) and said President Obama's handling of the Gulf oil spill is "putting his boot heel on the throat of BP and that is really un-American."
