Rick Perry's BIG OOPS throughout the Ebola Crisis in Texas

Texas Governor Rick Perry had the chance to be a Hero. He was not. Like most Republicans, he preaches about State's Rights. Perry bloviates about Big Government staying OUT OF TEXAS. He had the chance to prove himself right with his actions during the Ebola Crisis here in Texas. He FAILED.

On Sept. 28th, when Thomas Eric Duncan was admitted as America's 1st patient to be diagnosed with Ebola, Perry had the chance to work with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. In fact, on Oct. 1,  he held a news conference, assuring the public that “there are few places in the world better equipped to meet the challenges posed by this case.” When more people were quarantined, he launched a task force and told Texans to “rest assured OUR SYSTEM is working as it should.”

Instead of following through on his promise, Rick Perry flew to Europe on October 12 on a political trip to advance his chances on becoming a political candidate. We Texans KNOW Perry's -- OUR SYSTEM did NOT WORK! The Hospital was not equipped nor trained to do the job!! Additionally, Rick Perry has NEVER supported Healthcare (Obamacare) nor has he supported Medicaid for our sick.

Perry's own experts have proved Perry Lied! Dr. Dan Varga, the chief clinical officer of Texas Health Resources, which owns the Dallas hospital has testified before Congress that the hospital's staff was NEVER FULLY TRAINED. They just received "guidelines" in July but NEVER received any face to face training.

Two nurses have been diagnosed with Ebola. Texas Hospitals weres not equipped to care for them. They were flown out of state. Today, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is a Ghost Town. The quarantined staff is staying away. Sick people refuse to go there.

Additionally, quarantined personnel have not been following the Self Quarantine process. They are travelling, going on cruises, going to hair and manicure salons and potentially infecting other people.

On October 1, 2014, Rick Perry held a news conference. He launched a task force and told Texans to “rest assured OUR SYSTEM is working as it should.”

The next reporter that asks him about his "Ebola Taskforce," I know what Rick Perry's answer will be. "Ooops!"

BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN 2: Extremist Paul Ryan Agrees with Rick Perry about Social Security being a Ponzi Scheme! Should we be Surprised?

WASHINGTON -- Speaking on (extreme right wing) conservative radio on Tuesday, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) agreed with Texas Gov. Rick Perry's (R) claim that Social Security is a "Ponzi scheme." When asked by host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday whether the country's social insurance program is a Ponzi scheme, Ryan replied, "That is how those schemes work." "So if you take a look at the technicality of Ponzi -- I would -- it's not a criminal enterprise," he said, according to a transcript. "But it is a pay-as-you-go system where ... earlier investors or, say, taxpayers, get a positive rate of return and the most recent investors -- or taxpayers -- get a negative rate of return."

Democrats immediately criticized Ryan's comments.

"Republican Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan's belief that Social Security works like a Ponzi scheme proves -- once and for all -- that House Republicans have really declared war on seniors," said Jesse Ferguson, a spokesman for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, in a press release. "A Ponzi scheme is Bernie Madoff ripping off Americans -- not Social Security benefits that seniors earned and depend on during retirement."

Ponzi schemes, made famous in 1920 by Charles Ponzi, are predicated on delivering large returns to investors with money received from new investors. The Securities and Exchange Commission definition of a Ponzi scheme is, "an investment fraud that involves the payment of purported returns to existing investors from funds contributed by new investors."

Perry called Social Security a Ponzi scheme in his 2010 book Fed Up!, and he defended the characterization in a Sept. 7 GOP presidential debate. Since then, some Republicans have come out in support of the governor, including Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels (R) who said, "As far as it [Social Security] goes, absolutely it is a Ponzi scheme."

Additionally, this past June, Reps. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) and Jeb Hensarling (R-Texas) introduced legislation that would allow workers to partially opt out of Social Security immediately and fully opt out after 15 years.

We have wild fires raging in Texas, but Republican Governor Rick Perry has cut funding for Texas Firefighters. In many locations, they are forced to buy their own hoses and gas for their vehicles to get to the fires. Perry has not only cut jobs and funding for Firefighters, he has cut jobs and funding for local Police and Teachers. Be very afraid, America, if you elect him President! He plans on cutting your Social Security and Medicare. He also plans on staying very close to his Rich Political Contributers. WASHINGTON -- In Texas, firefighters aren't just battling the wild fires raging around Austin and Houston. The state's first responders have also had to deal with budget cuts affecting everything from fuel purchases to hoses and oxygen tanks. In some cases, fire officials say, firefighters have had to pay out of pocket for basic necessities like proper protective gear and fuel to get them to the scene. One fire department that battled the blazes in Bastrop County had to pay for a hose, recalled Bastrop City Fire Chief Henry Perry, speaking to The Huffington Post during a break from working the wild fires.
"That fire department has been on this fire every day," he said. "Before this fire, they were having to buy stuff out of their own pocket." Perry said he knows of at least one other department whose firemen had to pay for equipment maintenance and engine fuel.
Earlier this week, HuffPost reported that Gov. Rick Perry, the GOP front-runner for president, had signed off on millions in firefighting cuts as part of the state's most recent budget legislation. The Texas Forest Service's funding has gone from $117.7 million in the 2010-2011 budget years to $83 million in the 2012-2013 budget years.
Severe cuts have also hit assistance grants to volunteer fire departments throughout Texas. The grants decreased from $30 million per year in 2010 and 2011 to $13.5 million per year in 2012 and 2013. These are cuts that firemen are now dealing with.
"I don't agree with it. I understand what Governor Perry did," said Henry Perry (no relation). "Do I like it? No. I don't like it at all."
The cuts come at a time when Texas fire departments have already been slowing purchases of new fire trucks and other critical equipment as a way to save money, said Guy Turner, president of the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters.

Rick Perry Bloats Job Numbers by Hiring "Undocumented Workers" Hired by Contractors! Plans on Announcing Running for President!

According to rumors, Repub TX Governor Rick Perry is going to announce this week that he is running for President in 2012. He has the support and backing of several Tea Party groups and a number of high profile Republicans, including Rudy Guliani. Even his wife Anita has said she wants him to run.

Perry is very well known for his political pandering and being in bed with Big Business. He takes credit for playing a role in half of U.S. job growth in the past decade. What he won't tell you is most of the jobs he takes credit for creating are staffed by CONTRACTORS who hire "Undocumented Workers." There are hundreds of thousands of these jobs listed as "Contractors" on the Jobs Reports (Bureau of Labor Statistics.) While it is true Texas jobs are booming, particularly in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, most of these jobs are being performed by crews of Latinos hired by State Hired Contractors. As proof, I invite ANY REPORTER to drive through the Dallas/Fort Worth area and bring your cameras.

Actually, these workers are GOOD for the Texas Economy and I think America can learn from this. Jobs create Jobs. Business is Booming. The workers need supervisors and architects and clerical reports, and on and on... Creating More Jobs! However, the problem is, Perry and his cohorts HIDE the fact that this is happening. They continue to exploit these workers and hide the fact that they exist! Instead, Perry panders to the Tea Parties, putting "fake" sb1070 bills forward (eg: sb9) with NO Intent of ever passing them. This type of political pandering is very DANGEROUS for ALL Latinos! Perry nurtures and stirs up Tea Party HATE implying he agrees with the Tea Party agenda of Walls, Sanctuary Cities and Mass Deportation, when in REALITY he has No Intention at all of ever changing his love for the exploitation of workers and for all who cater to his goal of becoming President some day.

Perry is so duplicitous he once implied he agreed with calls for Texas to secede from the Union! This was nothing but MORE PANDERING TO THE TEA PARTIES. He has also proclaimed August 6 as a day of prayer and fasting for the nation to seek God's guidance and wisdom. Meanwhile, he boasted that he cut tens of thousands of Teachers' Jobs and editted Texas Schoolbooks to eliminate ANY contributions by minorities, including Cesar Chavez.

Perry can also be a sweet talker! Even critics describe him as a charmer and tireless campaigner who has repeatedly toppled heavyweight political adversaries. "I think he will push Sarah Palin and (Michele) Bachmann down the stairs so hard and so fast that he will emerge in the next three to four months as the darling of the fundamentalist religious right," said state Rep. Lon Burnam, a Democrat and Perry critic.

America, we all must be aware of this man. Call him George W number 2. Call him Mata Hari. Call him ANYTHING but don't ever call him Mr. President!

This week, during the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (in Austin), Racist Idiot Texas Governor Rick (Evil Racist) Perry said it was perfect to appoint Jose Cuevas to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission because his name is similar to the tequila brand Jose Cuervo (as a poorly veiled smack at ALL Latinos being Alcoholics). Perry, this IDIOT RACIST, who supports the very racist ANTI Latino HATE Bills, was PANDERING to the Latino Vote at the conference. (Question: How STUPID does the racist, idiot, pos Rick Perry think Latinos are?)

If I were there, I would have KICKED THE POS in the GROIN and asked him, "How can an Idiotic Racist POS like you, with such limited knowledge of the current political situation, who panders to the EVIL, Racist, Neo-Nazi, White Nationalist Restrictionists, how do you have the BALLS to come to our Meeting?
