CIA Chief David Petraeus Betrays Wife and Quits His Job

CIA chief David Petraeus resigned this week. This famous, former general was caught in the oldest game in the book. He had a sleazy affair with a journalist and co-author of his biography, Paula Broadwell.

What does this say about a man's ego. This reminds me of John Edwards. Both men had so much power with so much potential for more. Yet, they fell into the dastardly pit. They succumbed to a temptress' siren's call.

How could they do it?
How could they betray their wives who were their childhood sweethearts? How could they betray their families? How could they betray their country?

Petraeus' extramarital affair with the coauthor of his biography, Ms. Broadwell, came to light in a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) query into a completely unrelated compromise of a government computer system. Although no criminal charges are pending for Petraeus or Broadwell, it has been reported that Paula Broadwell has been under investigation by the FBI for suspicion of having access to Petraeus' email.

John Edwards and Other Sexually Corrupt Men in Politics!

After I wrote about Republican Senator Scott Brown and his Playgirl Centerfold past, one of my long time commenters, Ultima, who happens to be an ANTI (although very civil and knowledgeable), asked me to write my thoughts about John Edwards (past Democratic Presidential Candidate), just so I am fair and balanced.

John Edwards (shudder). The more I hear about John Edwards' antics, the more angry I become. Hearing about his antics makes me curious about politicians in general. Is it Washington that corrupts the politician or is it the politician that corrupts Washington?

When I think about politicians with sex scandals in politics, I think of :
Democrats: Edwards (affair), Clinton (affair-cigar-dress), the Kennedys (affairs); Gov. Spitzer (prostitutes);
Republicans: Mark Foley (16 yr old male pages); Ted Haggard, Evangelical advisor to Bush (male prostitutes); Sen. Larry Craig (males in bathrooms stalls); Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas (pubic hair on coke-sexual harrassment); Senator David Vitter (DC Madam; prostitutes). And let's not forget SC Gov. Mark Sanford and his Argentinian girlfriend.

All despicable!

Regarding Edwards, what I find worst is that he committed his indiscretions while at the same time playing up his wife's cancer all for the sake of the possibility of winning the Presidential election. If we believe the reports that have come out to date: Edwards began his affair with someone he met in a bar; hired her as his videographer; continued the affair while lying to his wife, his staff and his supporters throughout his campaign for President; impregnated her; told his mistress he would marry her after his cancer ridden wife died; then lied to his wife when she found out; continued his affair; then, when he was outed by the Enquirer, again LIED to the American Public. I have no forgiveness for the other woman. She knew he was married when she began the affair; when she became pregnant. I think she purposely became pregnant. She was not a naive child. She was a knowledgeable woman of the world in her forties. She did it knowing his wife had cancer and that he was running for president. She cared nothing for his wife or for America.

Ultima, all I can say about Edwards is, I am very happy he was not elected for President and he is out of politics. I wash my hands of him. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife and their children.

Regarding the other political ne'er-do-wells that are still in politics, I can only hope they are true to their words and their past is behind them...but I don't hold much hope this is true.

National Enquirer Conducting the Palin Vetting Process McCain Failed to Complete!

The National Enquirer is conducting the Palin vetting process that McCain and his staff failed to complete. McCain´s staff has admitted Palin underwent only a brief, partial vetting just days before her selection for the next highest job in the country. McCain met with Palin just briefly twice before her selection. Many MSM outlets say this is due to McCain wanting to select Joe Lieberman as his VP candidate of choice. It was only at the last minute McCain´s campaign staff convinced him to bypass Joe for Palin.
In their latest edition, the National Enquirer has voiced their mission to complete the vetting job McCain failed to do. They have numerous "feet on the street" in Palin´s home town to get to the truth behind the gossip spread across the internet. The three top stories they are following include:
1. Palin´s Affair with her husband´s business partner.
2. Palin´s attempted cover-up of her daughter Bristol´s pregnancy and Bristol´s refusal to go along with her mother´s plan for a quickie marriage with her boyfriend.
3. Palin´s abuse of power in firing her ex brother in law´s supervisor for failing to fire her brother in law.

The AP Reports the response to the National Enquirer´s articles from the McCain campaign are as follows:
"The McCain campaign has vigorously denied a report in the National Enquirer magazine that the Republican's vice-presidential pick, Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin has had an extramarital affair with her husband's business partner. The story, which appeared just hours before Governor Palin was due to address the Republican convention, was branded " scurrilous" by the chief strategist, Steve Schmidt. He said it was totally untrue."The smearing of the Palin family must end. The allegations contained on the cover of the National Enquirer insinuating that Gov. Palin had an extramarital affair are categorically false. It is a vicious lie," said Mr Schmidt." The efforts of the media and tabloids to destroy this fine and accomplished public servant are a disgrace. The American people will reject it."
McCain and his staff probably will not get far in their attempts to try and squelch and demonize these vetting investigations. The National Enquirer is well known for their pursuit of anyone and everyone who has gained national attention. This includes many in the DNC including: John Edwards, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. (Many of these stories, in fact, have been political fodder for Fox News, McCain and the RNC´s favorite network!) Over the last few months, the National Enquirer has gained significant notoriety and a significant increase in sales in their diligent pursuit of the John Edwards affair. They are also proud of their performance in being the first to out other politicians, hollywood and media stars.
As of today, Palin refuses to talk to any media anytime anywhere.
I wonder how long she thinks she can hold out.

Edwards and Hunter, McCain and Blondes - Why Do So Many Powerful Men Have Extra-Marital Affairs In Office?

The blogosphere is reporting that the National Enquirer has a timeline planned to rollout "Breaking News" articles on the John Edwards-Reille Hunter affair from now until the election. This week´s Enquirer "Breaking News" details the Baby Pictures, Edwards friends´ funding Hunter´s escape to the Virgin Islands and their extreme stretch in trying to drag Obama into this story because the house in the Virgin Islands belongs to someone who donated to both campaigns. They and Rush Limbaugh are still attempting to blame Mrs. Edwards either for not being sexually active enough or for knowing and not outing her husband previously. Either of these directions are so far fetched it makes both Limbaugh and the Enquirer´s right wing agenda laughable, ridiculous and unscrupulous.

While Edwards himself admitted the affair and left himself open for all of these public attacks, at least he is no longer in the political arena. My suggestion to him is to either cut all ties to Ms. Hunter or confess all because the Enquirer is not going to let up on him or his family until the election. He may as well get it all overwith. I cannot speak for Mrs. Edwards. My heart goes out to her in these very troubled times. She and her children are just left to cope with this mess until it is all over.

John McCain:

Last weekend, John McCain admitted the lowest moment in his life. He said he is most ashamed of his extra marital affair with his current wife, then Cindy Lou Hensley, and the end of his first marriage. As if an Edward´s affair deja vu moment, John McCain confessed that in April, 1979 he met Ms. Cindy and had an affair from his ill wife. The first Mrs. McCain had suffered illness due to a devastating car accident she had in 1969. In Feb., 1980, he married the blonde, Ms. Cindy, and, unbelievably, Gary Hart (another politician philanderer), was McCain´s groomsman. McCain did not mention, however, as reported by the NY Times, that Top Aids were convinced he was having an affair with a Cindy look-a-like lobbyist named Vicki Iseman.

I wonder why it is that Powerful Men cheat, particularly those in the Political Arena. We see so many headlines about their indiscretions. This behavior is so blatant, it makes me wonder.

Is it the headline if they cheat?

Is it the headline if they DO NOT cheat, like Obama?

Is Rush Limbaugh Reille Hunter´s Sugar Daddy?

Rush Limbaugh and Reille Hunter have so much in common. They both are former coke heads, prescription drug abusers and party animals. Both are alleged sex addicts. They both are obsessed by John Edwards. Is Limbaugh Hunter´s Sugar Daddy? He does smoke Big Cigars! Lets explore the possibilities!
Since the news of the the Edwards-Hunter affair broke, there is one question that has been haunting me, yet no one is asking. How did a forty four year old woman who has successfully avoided pregnancy for forty four years “accidently” get pregnant, especially four months after the break up?
Ask any woman or gynecologist in America. The odds of a first time pregnancy after 40 are astronomical. For all you novices, a woman starts going through the change in her forties. We are talking about FIRST TIME pregnancy, NOT the pregnancy of a woman who has had several children in her younger years becoming pregnant in her forties. First time pregnancies in your thirties are often difficult and require some type of fertilization method. So how on earth did Hunter get pregnant after a quickie? Lets study the history of events.
Feb 2006: Hunter, Edwards meet in a NY Bar.
July 2006: Hunter begins working for Edwards campaign. (4 webisodes)
Dec 28, 2006: Edwards announces he will run for President.
Dec 30, 2006: Mrs Edwards learns of affair and confronts her husband.
Dec 31, 2006: Hunters last day on payroll.
Early 2007: Webisodes removed from Edwards website.
April, 2007: The 14K Final Payoff to Hunter.
May 23, 2007 Hunter is impregnated (40 week gestation period)
Oct. 10, 2007 The National Enquirer reports about the Edwards affair.
Oct 11, 2007 Edwards first denial
Oct – Dec 2007: Limbaugh is first to rant about Edwards affair.
Dec 19, 2007: The National Enquirer publishes photos of pregnant Hunter.
Feb 27, 2008: Baby Hunter is born in Santa Barbara, CA. No Baby Daddy listed on birth certificate.
July 21, 2008: The National Enquirer reports Edwards visits Hunter at Hotel.
Aug 8, 2008: Edwards admits to Affair.

The record shows Hunter was off payroll 1-1-07. She was off payroll, broiling with anger for four months. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned! She believes she lost him back to his wife. What if she decided to contact her old bar room buddy Limbaugh? Together they cook up a scheme. They both know her story has no legs unless a baby is born. Having a baby will increase the timeline and bring them much closer to the 2008 election, serve as an “October Surprise” and would make good press! But she is 43 years old. They can´t take any chances. She has to obtain his sperm to ensure a pregnancy through In Vitro Fertilization.
Records from Edward´s One America PAC show the $14K payoff in April, 2007. Can you imagine? Hunter calling Edwards. I need $14K. The tabloids are hounding me about the affair. She convinces him to come to her hotel alone. Bring the $14K. He goes. She convinces him to have a quickie. He leaves his condom behind. She places it in a freezer in the room. The doctor friend of Limbaugh´s conducts the procedures in private. No records.
Think of Edwards story. The timeline! He is convinced it is NOT his baby because his last quickie with her was in April. She is not impregnated until late May. His ego does not allow him to consider IVF.
The story fits! One thing is clear. Her pregnancy was NO ACCIDENT!
There may be another reason Hunter does not want to do have the baby´s DNA checked out. She is over 40. What if they attempted using her eggs and they could not be fertilized? What if they used someone younger´s eggs for the fertilization? What if SHE is NOT the Mother?
Investigative reports should study the timeline and the May impregnation. If a doctor was involved for the In Vitro, then it should not be too difficult to locate him. (or her)
One more word about Limbaugh. Limbaugh and the National Enquirer are both based in Florida. From 2003 – 2006 the National Enquirer reported extensively about his drug abuse. Since the end of 2006, there has been no negative reporting of Limbaugh in that tabloid.
