Arpaio Admits his Tent City is a "Concentration Camp!"
From PNT.com:
You never know when Sheriff Joe is going to blurt out a bit of the truth. Case in point: This video from the crew at 90daystoPhoenix.com, part of a documentary about Arizona currently in post-production. Crusading independent journalist Valeria Fernandez (who's done work for CNN en Espanol and New Times, among many others) and cameraman A.J. Alexander captured our geezer lawman (arpaio) during an appearance in 2008 at the Arizona American Italian Club in Phoenix, where he calls Tent City a "concentration camp." You know, like the ones the Germans (Nazis) used back in the 1930s and '40s.
Responding to some crackpot from the audience who wonders when Joe'll start using concentration camps, Arpaio gives the following response. "I already have a concentration camp," he snarks around 2:52 in, with nativist GOP politicians Don Goldwater and then Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas chortling along. "Andy, you gonna cover me on this, too? It's called Tent City."
Skip to 2009, during the forced, public march of undocumented inmates to a segregated part of Tent City. There, Fernandez confronts Arpaio on his previous statement. Arpaio denies he said any such thing. "I never called it a concentration [camp]," he states, though the video obviously shows otherwise.
Our septuagenarian sheriff apparently doesn't regard his facilities as humane in any way. Otherwise, why would he make an analogy to the extermination of the Jews? One other interesting comment from Joe comes as he's being done-up with mascara and powder prior to a CNN appearance. "I look like I'm dead, with all this makeup," he says, looking into a mirror. Dead? Only spiritually, Joe. Only spiritually.

Blackwater Commandos Sneak in Plans to Patrol our Borders!
As I reported here and here, last year, Blackwater International bought a defunct chicken ranch in the mountains about 40 miles east of San Diego with plans for converting it into a training camp for local and federal (military) law enforcement, including Border Patrol. Local advocates protested Blackwaters´presence. The company dropped those plans this March. signon SanDiego reports: The same month, Blackwater, sneakingly using the name "Raven Development Co", applied and city inspectors approved permit applications for a 61,000 square-foot indoor facility in Otay Mesa, an industrial warehouse park along the U.S.-Mexico border, just several miles away. They applied for routine inspection permits under the name Raven Development Group, a name its lawyers said the company had used for other projects, and never explicitly sought permission to convert a warehouse into a school in part because the area is already zoned for vocational facilities.
Opponents against Blackwater say, “This whole process flunks the smell test. They don't ever give us the whole picture of what they're here for. Blackwater can't start using its new facility in the industrial Otay Mesa area until the project is approved by the city planning commission."
Blackwater lawyers told Huff they had been honest in their dealings with city inspection agencies. They argued it was too late for the city to demand they go to the planning commission because inspectors had already approved the required permits.
Attorney Michael Neil said the company risked losing part of a $400 million Navy contract if it could not begin training sailors in counterterrorist defense tactics by next week. The program is part of a firearms training initiative launched after the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole in a Yemeni port by terrorists in a small boat.
“Blackwater will suffer, the Department of the Navy will suffer and to some extent the security of our country will suffer if sailors aren't fully trained,” Neil said. Blackwater has argued in court filings that elected officials moved to block the project for political reasons ahead of next week's primary election.

About Blackwater Worldwide: founded in 1997 by Erik Prince and Al Clark, is a private military company and one of the GOP´s largest PAC Contributors. The company recieves multi millions in government contracts. It has been referred to as a security contractor or a mercenary organization by numerous reports in the international media. The company trains more than 40,000 people a year, from U.S. or foreign military and police services, as well as other U.S. government agencies. The training consists of military offensive and defensive operations, as well as smaller scale personnel security. Technologies used and techniques trained are not limited by U.S. domestic law, although it is unclear what legal status Blackwater operates under in the U.S. and other countries, or what protection the U.S. extends to Blackwater operations globally.
Blackwater, the largest private security firm in Iraq, has been under scrutiny as a federal grand jury in Washington investigates the company's involvement in the shooting deaths of 17 Iraqi civilians. The firm is also under investigation for possible weapons smuggling allegations – violations the firm strongly denies.

What is the Real ID Act? And why are so many Freedom Loving Americans opposing it? (including more and more ANTI sites)
More and more ANTI sites are opposing the SAVE ACT due to its e-Verify-RealID provisions. The latest site defines the details of the RealID Act. Click here and then on "What Is ´Real ID´for the details.Let us sum up the provisions of the Real ID Act:
1. All state-issued driver's licenses and non-driver ID shall include a "biometric parameter," commonly understood to mean fingerprints, from at least two of the identified person's fingers. This will result in a dramatic increase in the number of people fingerprinted and in the size of computerized fingerprint databases. Currently, fingerprinting is common in conjunction with arrests, as well as for certain forms of employment, but is not usually required for a driver's license.
2. All of the above-mentioned documents are to include a "common machine-readable technology," understood to mean that the cards will be swipe-able like a credit card, and that all of the information encoded on the card would be available to the owner of the card-reading machine. The legislation itself does not specify whether only government agencies or private persons such as bar owners checking the age of patrons would have access to the encoded data, but "common" does imply that the authorities in California would be able to read licenses from New York, so the card-reading machines would have to be pretty generic. The Department of Homeland Security is pushing for the introduction of RFID chips, also known as "proximity chips," into licenses and ID cards, which enable anyone with the right instrument to read the card while it is still in its owner's pocket. The Digimarc Corporation has already sold systems for "contactless" smart card driver's licenses to North Carolina and other states. Digimarc touts the smart card licenses for their ability to be scanned by border authorities on the Mexican and Canadian side, more or less the way tolls are paid via Easy Pass at bridges and tunnels, at quite a distance.

3. In order to obtain a driver's license, a real geographical address will have to be provided, not a post office box. This will essentially bar homeless people (or people whose home is their car) from obtaining licenses.
4. The Real ID Act requires states to link the databases of information on their issued IDs into a national database and to share this data with Federal law enforcement officials, as well as those from other states, and from Canada and Mexico.
5. Real ID includes several provisions that do not pertain to identification at all, but to immigration policy. One of these deprives state and local authorities of the right to use their own zoning or eminent domain provisions to interfere with the building of the border fence that is intended to hinder illegal immigration. Another allows the Department of Homeland Security to arbitrarily define the meaning of the word "terrorist" when deciding who shall and shall not be allowed to enter the country. This provision will probably be used to restrict the ability of non-citizens opposed to U.S. policies on a whole range of issues to travel in and out of the country, effectively cutting off the free exchange of information on those issues.

USID LEGEND: 1. USID number = SS #; 2. Optical Memory Strip (like small CD) for digitized fingerprints and personal information; 3. Photograph; 4. Smart Card Technology (the card can perform data manipulation and run cryptographic algorithms, include medical history but could include travel history, education, work histories, other histories); 5. Internal Memory Strip (A high-capacity device could store rich biometric data such as several fingerprints, iris scans, face scans, heartbeat characteristics, or DNA sequences); 6. 2-D Bar Code: This low-tech info coding could be used by officials who don't have more sophisticated optical reading devices.

Gestapo Arpaio Resurrects Operation Wetback Part 2
AZ Maricopa County´s Heinous trigger happy Gestapo Sheriff Arpaio has resurrected Operation Wetback again as he Racial Profiles innocent Latino neighborhoods and towns in his area. Under the pretext of "Crime Suppression Sweeps" Sheriff Arpaio and his band of overzealous cops strip away the Civil Liberties of anyone Brown. All people of color are stopped and harrassed. A reported example: A Yaqui Indian woman (the town is half Yaqui, half Mexican) was stopped as she was walking to the protest and asked for her I.D. She has lived in Guadalupe all her life. WWB, "Walking While Brown", is considered probable cause by the Gestapo Sheriff. These deplorable sweeps are happening as we speak. Last night and today, the city of Guadalupe, AZ Mayor Rebecca Jimenez is bravely standing up to Herr Arpaio. Let´s pray for her safety throughout the face off this weekend! The New Phoenix Times Reports:Open Rebellion: Guadalupe Mayor Rebecca Jimenez demands Sheriff Joe Arpaio cease anti-immigrant sweep.
Fri Apr 04, 2008 at 08:09:47 AM
Fri Apr 04, 2008 at 08:09:47 AM
Last night was a night of high drama as Sheriff Joe brought his illegal immigrant dragnet to the small town of Guadalupe, and the citizens and the mayor of that city demanded Joe leave. Last night around 10:30, Guadalupe Mayor Rebecca Jimenez personally presented Joe a statement to this effect in the parking lot of the Family Dollar where the MCSO was stationed. According to Jimenez, Joe accused her of inciting a riot and informed her she had 90 days to cancel Guadalupe's contract with the MCSO to provide law enforcement to the town. Jimenez and other town council members present said they would be reviewing the MCSO's contract. Jimenez's release states in part: "Sheriff Arpaio's attempt to push his own political agenda, from the State's largest municipality to the state's smallest municipality, shows that he disregards his statutory obligations to provide unbiased law enforcement to the residents of this county and should not be based on legal status. We are asking the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office to cease their operation immediately."
Jimenez told me that the MCSO had informed the city that it would be doing an anti-graffiti operation and that she was promised that it would not be one of Joe's anti-illegal sweeps. If that's the case, I'd say she was a little gullible on that front considering Joe's recent activities. However, she bravely made up for this with her defiant press release and by insisting to Joe in person that he leave. This capped off an evening of spirited protest by about 200 or so demonstrators, and many drivers-by who honked their horns in agreement. While I was there, Rusty Childress' United for a Sovereign America was nowhere to be seen. People were angered by the MCSO's harassment of their fellow citizens, and many of those present had walked from their homes to be there. I think the demonstrations will be even larger today, as city leaders had initially asked residents to attend prayer vigils being held in different churches rather than protest the Sheriff on site. But obviously, all bets are off now.
The MCSO's stops were petty and pathetic. I rode along with one loosely organized group that monitors the MCSO and videotapes the traffic stops they're making. One lady was stopped and cited for "improper use of horn" (a favorite citation of the evening) because she had honked her horn in solidarity with the demonstrators. Another guy was stopped and cited for a cracked tail light right in front of his house. Still another fella was pulled over because the little light over his license plate was out. Back at the Family Dollar on Calle Guadalupe, another lady, a full-blooded Yaqui Indian (the town is half Yaqui, half Mexican) told me she was stopped as she was walking to the protest and asked for her I.D. She has lived in Guadalupe all her life. I guess WWB, Walking While Brown, is considered probable cause by the MCSO. For the Guadalupe operation alone, Sheriff Joe should have his 287g agreement with ICE jerked. That's the agreement that allows specially-trained MCSO to enforce immigration law under limited circumstances. How much more obvious can it be that Arpaio is abusing this authority and terrorizing Valley communities with these bogus and illegal anti-immigrant dragnets? When will the Feds wake up and halt Joe's reign of terror and error?

Official Language: Penalty - Learn English or GO TO JAIL! (Includes Legal Citizens!)
For all of you who promote "Official English" and who said this would never happen, here it is. A Judge has ruled "Learn English or Go To Jail!" The judge imposed this sentence on those here legally. As we move closer to a "Gestapo State," even with no standards set, the judge says, “There’s no way young kids can be hurt by knowing how to read and write the English language.” From TimesLeader.com
Learn English or Go to Jail!
By David Weiss dweiss@timesleader.com Court Reporter, WILKES-BARRE – March 27, 2008
That’s the succinct directive Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. made as part of his sentence to four criminals on Tuesday. The defendants – Luis Reyes, Ricardo Dominguez, Kelvin Reyes-Rosario and Rafael Guzman-Mateo – all needed translators when they appeared in court to plead guilty to criminal conspiracy to commit robbery. It led to Olszewski leveling the unusual condition. He sentenced them each to four to 24 months in the county prison, but paroled three of them because they have already served at least four months. But in order for them to avoid the 24 months in prison, Olszewski ordered the men to learn to read and write the English language, earn their GED, and, within 30 days of release, get a full-time job while on parole. The defendants, who range in age from 17 to 22, are to return to court in one year with their parole officers to take an English test, according to Olszewski’s order. “If they don’t pass (the test), they’re going in for the 24 (months),” Olszewski said.

The ruling, the judge said, is supposed to help, not punish. “There’s no way young kids can be hurt by knowing how to read and write the English language,” he said. “It’s a means to helping them get a better education, getting a better job. Period.” Whether the legality of the ruling will be challenged has yet to be determined.
Attorneys Joseph Yeager and Ferris Webby, who represent the suspects, are looking at the ruling and laws before deciding whether to appeal. Neither has seen such an order in any past cases, they said. “First of all, let’s say it’s unusual,” Webby said. Webby said his role as an attorney requires him to look at the legality of the ruling, but, as a person, he knows Olszewski’s choice is good for his client, Guzman-Mateo. Guzman-Mateo realizes it, too.
“My client is happy,” Webby said. “I think it’s going to help him. It’s going to help him succeed.”
But that doesn’t make it right, said Agapito Lopez, a Latino community leader from Hazleton. He said he believes the ruling is a violation of the suspects’ rights. “I think that it’s contrary to the Constitution,” said Lopez, who stressed he is not an attorney and is speaking from a lay person’s perspective. “I don’t think that is due process. … I think this can be challenged in court.” Lopez said he will speak with attorneys from the American Civil Liberties Union to see if the decision should be challenged.
Police said the four were part of a group of people that approached two men, Reese Tankalavage and Cletus Mumie, on May 29 on Locust Street and asked them if they had any marijuana. When Tankalavage and Mumie said no, the four suspects told them to empty their pockets. That’s when one of the people in the group struck Mumie in the head with a rawhide bone. Another man pulled out a gun. The group then searched the duo’s pockets before telling them it was “their block and they better not see them around there anymore,” police said.
In sentencing the four defendants on Tuesday, Olszewski gave Reyes, Dominguez and Guzman-Mateo immediate parole. Reyes-Rosario is doing jail time on an unrelated drug charge. His sentence in the robbery case will begin after he completes the drug sentence. Olszewski said the language condition he imposed on the defendants, who are resident aliens, was not something he had planned. Once he saw all the translators in court for one case, the idea dawned on him.
The decision, he said, could help cut down on extreme costs associated with the paying for translators for each court appearance. Plus, he said, one of the defendants only went to third grade; the others didn’t finish high school. Learning English will help them get their GED first, and then a job, he said. “Do you think we are going to supply you with a translator all of your life?” he asked them.
Olszewski is ready to face any flak from the ruling. “I’d like anyone to tell me that learning the English language is not a good thing,” he said. “I’d love to hear from them.” Learning the language could help the suspects, Lopez said. But it would not assure them of getting a job – that theory is merely mythical, he said.
“This is a country in which English is not the official language,” he said. “We cannot force people to learn the language.” Olszewski said the parties can ask him to reconsider the ruling within 10 days. No one, he said, objected to the ruling in court Tuesday. Olszewski is unaware of whether this condition had been previously imposed. It’s not the first creative sentence Olszewski has imposed. He regularly orders defendants to get and maintain a full-time job, but also helps them find work. He has his tipstaff, Ron Zukosky, coordinate with an employment agency to find the defendants work. The judge also has ordered young defendants who dropped out of school to return and finish school. “There’s no way young kids can be hurt by knowing how to read and write the English language.” Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr.

ANTIs In Congress To FORCE Introduction of SAVE ACT (GESTAPO Bill)
As I predicted the ANTIs in Congress are getting ready to push the heinous and misnamed SAVE (GESTAPO) Act. (read about the Gestapo Bill-Save Act here).John Tanton´s ANTI Group Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) has published this report indicating they will attempt subversive measures in order to FORCE the heinous SAVE Act to be introduced before Congress:
Congress May Debate SAVE Act Legislation Soon
Tuesday, supporters of the SAVE Act (H.R.4088) filed a discharge petition in the House of Representatives in an attempt to force a vote on the House floor. The SAVE Act, introduced by Congressman Heath Shuler (D-NC) is an enforcement-only immigration reform bill that, among other things, mandates that employers verify the work eligibility of new hires by using the E-verify system. As introduced, the SAVE Act has 141 cosponsors, 93 Republicans and 48 Democrats. If at least 218 Representatives sign on to the discharge petition,it will be enough to force the SAVE Act directly to the House floor for a vote. By Tuesday evening, Representative Thelma Drake (R-VA) who introduced the petition, had collected 135 signatures: 128 from Republicans, and seven from Democrats. (CQ Today, March 11, 2008) As of Wednesday afternoon, House staff has informed FAIR that the discharge petition has received 150 signatures. According to CQ Today, party leaders disagree as to whether the discharge petition will be successful. "I think some of those Democrats will sign. But there was a lot of pressure on Democrats not to sign," said House Minority Whip Roy Blunt (R-MO). He added that "the next few weeks, when members will be home for spring recess, will be crucial." But Democratic leaders seemed skeptical, saying they doubted Republicans would be able to get all 198 Republicans to sign on. Without unity with in the Republican party, they argued, the question of Democratic signatures would be moot. (CQ Today, March 11, 2008)

Update: email from Roy Beck to followers:
DEAR FRIENDS, Our allies in Congress are asking you to make phone calls before 7 p.m. EDT this afternoon to keep open an incredible window of opportunity in the fight against illegal immigration. Members of the House go home this evening. We need as many as possible to sign the Discharge Petition to create the right kind of momentum during the upcoming two-week recess. Read below about the phone calls most needed this afternoon. Can you believe it? Since Tuesday, 168 Members of the U.S. House have signed the Discharge Petition to go around House leadership and force a vote on H.R. 4088, the SAVE Act by Rep. Shuler (D-N.C.). That leaves us only 50 to go! The SAVE Act would, within 4 years, remove nearly all illegal aliens from legitimate U.S. jobs! Nothing is more important in the fight against illegal immigration. Although Discharge Petitions rarely succeed, and although the DC media are writing that we will fail, we know from past experience that we have the ability to create so much constituency pressure that political miracles often occur. Your phone calls and faxes already this week are the chief reason for getting to 168. But these last 50 are going to be much harder to get. PLEASE GO TO YOUR NumbersUSA Action Buffet at www.NumbersUSA.com/actionbuffet right now and use the phone and fax notes to add fuel to the fire on the Hill before the Members of the House go home.

Gestapo State: HR 4088 - SAVE ACT - What it Really Means!
I ask all viewers to study HR 4088, the so-called SAVE ACT. If this link doesn´t work, go directly to the Thomas website and enter this bill number in the Search section. The site was acting a little weird. At first, it didn´t come up. Then I searched again an hour later, and it was there. At first the section links worked, then they didn´t. Finally, when it did let me in, I decided to just copy and paste the entire bill into a Word Document, but it only displayed through Section 204. I was not able to display through section 307. This is the new Immigration Bill introduced by Congressman Heath Shuler, NC. This Congressman was just elected in 2006 and ran on the ANTI Comprehensive Immigration Reform ticket (otherwise known as "I hate illeeeeegals!") Rep Heath´s resume includes a stint as a Real Estate Broker and Football player.
Many ANTI sites support this ACT, obviously sight unseen since it is so hard to find on Thomas. (Its there, then it is not). This bill is also strongly supported by Tom (Johnny One Note) Tancredo. This is enough to make a PRO shiver in her boots before beginning the Read.
This Bill is the ANTIs "Dream Come True." It calls for:
1. Mass Deportation of the 12M via increased Enforcement
a. Sweeps and other Methods
b. Mandatory Employer Verification, Secure ID Programs
2. Increased Border Security through:
a. increased Border Patrols
b. increased fencing and technology including a Tunnel Task Force
New Stuff:
. Contractors providing both Technological and Border Security. If someone else reads this differently, please let me know!
Section 104, (3): EVALUATION OF CONTRACTORS- (A) REQUIREMENT FOR STANDARDS- The Secretary shall develop appropriate standards to evaluate the performance of any CONTRACTOR providing goods or services to carry out the Integrated and Automated Surveillance Program.
. MORE DETENTION CENTERS (they will need them if they are planning on detaining 12M people) -- All RNC Crony Owned Private Prisons!!Sec 111, (9) An assessment of additional detention facilities and beds that are needed to detain unlawful aliens apprehended at United States ports of entry or along the international land borders of the United States.
. OPERATION Wetback All Over Again!! (Which State will NOT declare an Emergency??)
SEC. 121. DEPLOYMENT OF BORDER PATROL AGENTS.
(a) Emergency Deployment of Border Patrol Agents-
(1) IN GENERAL- If the Governor of a State on an international border of the United States declares an international border security emergency and requests additional agents of the Border Patrol (referred to in this subtitle as `agents') from the Secretary, the Secretary, subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), may provide the State with not more than 1,000 additional agents for the purpose of patrolling and defending the international border, in order to prevent individuals from crossing the international border into the United States at any location other than an authorized port of entry.

This Bill calls for immediate implementation of these "enforcements" with Reports back to Congress. This Bill includes language for significantly Ramping up the number of Border Patrol agents by recruiting former Military and Contractors! (Shades of Blackwater!!) Is this a way for them to recruit Minutemen as Border Patrol Agents?
I am continuing to study this Bill! I encourage EVERYONE to do the same!
The ANTI sites and Tancredo are screaming for passage of this Bill!!
Help Save AMERICA from the SAVE ACT - HR 4088!!
READ THE BILL AND EDUCATE YOURSELVES!!
