More Racist Republicans: GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Talks of "Hunting" Obama!

What is WRONG with all of these RACIST Republicans and their UNPATRIOTIC HATE for our President and America?!?
sfgate.com reports:
America elected an African-American president and an Idaho Republican gubernatorial candidate "joked" about issuing $11.50 tags to hunt down the president. GOP gubernatorial candidate Rex Rammell's repeated "jokes" about hunting President Barack Obama has received national play in the mainstream media and on the Web that included praises in right wing and racist blogs.

Rammell a Rexburg, Idaho resident, made the sick comment Tuesday at a Republican barbecue in Twin Falls during talk about Idaho selling its first $11.50 hunting tags for wolves this fall. Someone shouted "Obama tags," and Rammell said, "The Obama tags? We'd buy some of those." Not content with one sick jab at the president, Rammell repeated yesterday in a news release and on Twitter: "Anyone who understands the law, knows I was just joking, because Idaho has no jurisdiction to issue hunting tags in Washington, D.C." He has refused to apologize but said he doesn't advocate assassinating Obama.

Rammell isn't the first Rexburg resident who has made an anti-Obama comment. Last November, second-grade and third-grade students on a school bus there chanted "Assassinate Obama" after his election. The mayor of Rexburg, Idaho publicly apologized for the incident.

In the 1980's, the white supremacist Aryan Nations was headquartered in North Idaho. Since then, most Idaho political leaders have been trying to distance themselves from the racist reputation brought to Idaho by the Aryan Nations. Idaho gubernatorial candidate Rex Rammell isn't helping. He does have his supporters - 5.4 percent of the Idaho electorate voted for him in an unsuccessful 2008 U.S. Senate run.

Note to racists: It is a federal felony crime to even speak about assassinating the President of the United States.

AP reports today (1 hour ago):

Idaho Republican Rex Rammell said Tuesday the hoopla over his remarks about hunting President Barack Obama has been a BOON to his campaign, and he again refused to apologize for what he called a joke.

"This country needs to lighten up," the GOP gubernatorial candidate said during a press conference in a Boise park Tuesday.

==========
I guess he doesn't realize its a federal felony crime to even speak about assassinating the President of the United States.
Doesn't he believe in RULE OF LAW? If so, he should turn himself in!!

More:

A defiant Rex Rammell refused to apologize today for his remarks about buying hunting tags to shoot President Obama, and instead accused top Idaho Republican leaders of conspiring to sabotage his run for governor by strongly condemning his remarks. “They’re trying to ruin my run to be the governor,” Rammell declared at a press conference across from the state Capitol.

If it is a felony to even speak "jokingly" about asassinating the president then why hasn't he been arrested by the FBI? I won't hold my breath for an answer.

He SHOULD be arrested by the FBI. Threatening to assassinate the President of the United States is NO JOKING MATTER! He SHOULD BE ARRESTED!!

Then why wasn't he arrested if even joking about asassinating a president is a felony? Could it be because it really was a JOKE even though a lame one? Apparently the feds knew it was a joke although a lame one. The feds are smart enough to know the difference apparently but some don't and just want blood and will make a big deal out of it because it was the president that they voted for? I heard many a Democrat make similar remarks about Bush "jokingly" in the past. No feds, no arrests. Take a hint!

He should be arrested. Think of the people in the audience he influenced. People in power have a higher level of accountability.

The man is a bigot and disgrace to the great state of Idaho. I don't claim the man! Here is what he says about immigration: (taken from his Skinny Moose website http://www.skinnymoose.com/data/Rex_Rammell#Immigration)

"There are between 12 and 20 million illegal immigrants in the United States today. Why should we expect them to keep our laws when their first act was to break them? First, we need to secure our border with Mexico. I support the building of the border fence and an increase in the border patrol.

I support a program wherein foreign workers...would be required to have a BIO Card to track his or her ID and whereabouts. For those who would like to use our health system, they can get insurance or pay out of their pockets like everyone else. Workers would be invited on a temporary basis only and with the exclusion of their families."

What is worse is this Euro-centrist quote that absolutely places him on par with the KKK:
"The Immigration and Nationality Services Act of 1965 removed the national origin quotas on immigration that had stood since 1921, opening the door for a greatly expanded multicultural America and creating many of the budget problems for social
welfare we face today."

This is one Frankenstein ready to let loose.
