New Blog Template and Added Favorite Blogs List!

As you may have noticed, I´ve reformatted my Blogsite. Not only do I have a newly designed template, but in addition to my previous sections, I´ve added a list of my Favorite Blogs.
You will notice quite a variety of blogs although most discuss Immigration. As I have mentioned, I frequently complete blog searches to find the most interesting blogs. I like to find Blogs that are civil, funny, interesting and provide viewers an opportunity to openly comment, even if they disagree with the owner´s perspective. In other words, they are open and secure enough to allow everyone to comment. (Like I do)
My two favorite economists, George Borjas and Robert Reich, both brilliant, have very friendly blogs and they frequently respond to their commenters. Borjas tends to be more on the ANTI side but I still like his style and intelligence very much.
I do have a couple of Hispanic comedic sites here. ("Ask a Mexican" and "Tony´s Kansas City") Both owners are funny, honest and discuss Immigration issues.
My Immigration sympatico blogs include: Blue Latinos, Citizen Orange, Ghostly Speech, HB Forums, KC Blue Blog, La Politica, Latina Lista, Rubens, and South Texas Chisme. Black Commentator frequently has Immigration topics and tends to sway Pro.
The only outright ANTI blog I have listed is Ultimas. I show his because he is so smart, civil, funny and I like him, even though we frequently totally disagree on the Immigration issues. Liquid, if you ever create a blog, I will be happy to link to it. You know I love to argue with you.
I visit most of these blogs at least every other day, just to see what they are posting. I complete Blog Searches on weekends. If I find other interesting Blogs, I will add them to this list. Please visit them and see what you think. Maybe you will like them too!

Some of those groups are full of reconquistas. I know I have visited them and they openly admit it. Of course dee denies the existance of any reconquistas in this country. Can't deny what is written plainly for all to see though, can we? I wonder why they would be listed as her favorites?

Dee said...

Do you know what a Reconquista is? It is someone who wants to reclaim the USA to become part of Mexico territory. I know of no group that says that. None.

Everyone I have contact with loves our USA and want it to stay USA!!

Pat, I think you may be brainwashed by the ANTI websites!

Dee said...

Why don´t you create a blog. I will be happy to link to it from here. I will be happy to post on your blog. I know you will allow all to post, non editted, as I do.

Liquidmicro said...

C'mon Dee, Ultima and I have shown you before: , Armando Navarro, , Chicano Forums.

These are but a few. There are many more. How can you deny this on your side, yet proclaim it on our side?

patriot said...

I also have given dee much proof of reconquista being alive and well in the U.S. by comments made by activist Hispanics.

What many of these reconquistas are hoping to do is create a new country called Atzlan out of the southwest, not giving it to Mexico nor calling it Mexico. Do your research dee or forever look like a fool in denial.

Dee said...

Liquid and Pat,
Where on my blog list is a Reconquista? That is what Pat was claiming.

Dee said...

Liquid, Regarding your one link. I will check it out.
If it is anything like "we hate" it belongs to the ANTI side.

I will see.

patriot said...

There are reconquista members in at least a couple of the forums/blogs you list. You know who they are, dee.

Dee said...

Sorry. You are wrong.
You will have to say who and what proof you have they are.

I don´t believe it.

patriot said...

How can I be wrong? The proof is in reading what some of their members have to say. Can't deny what is written, now can we? Of course you are denial about anything that sheds a bad light on "la raza".

Dee said...

Sorry Pat.
I have seen no claim by anyone on any blog I listed that says they want they want to reclaim the US and make it Mexico territory. Not one.

Be happy Pat. Start your blog. Put down what you believe. It is interesting.

patriot said...

Can't you read, dee? I already explained to you what the reconquista movement is. It isn't about re-claiming the U.S. and making it Mexican territory. Is is about re-claiming parts of the southwest and make a whole new country out of it. It is called Aztlan. These southwesern states the reconquistas say were taken from them and they were once called a mythical land of Aztlan according to them.

Dee said...

Now that theory is totally wacko and no one, no one I have heard of, has ever, ever said that. The only person who may have mentioned it is Michelle Malkin but she is a huge nut case so I always disregard what she says. Yikes!!

BTW, you still have not responded. Are you going to start a blog? If so, I will link to it if you want.

patriot said...

Here you go, dee. I will be waiting for your denials and your claims of bad sources so typicial of you.

I already told you I don't want to start my own blog. I don't have the time to keep it up. · Cached page

Pat, Pat, Pat,
1st, I do not link to these sites.

2nd: in checking out the url you provided, the site said the following when I looked at its mission is Assimilation NOT reclaiming the US to a newly formed continent:

The quest for Aztlán might thus be redefined as an inquiry into a kind of culture, once found among many indigenous societies in that region of mountains, basins, and ranges stretching between the southwestern deserts of the United States and the central highland of Mexico, and asking how the contributions of such peoples helped to shape ancient-and modern-Mexican history. The analogy of Aztlán now also reaches far northward, as a concept embracing a range of values brought by modern immigrants engaging in the vital new process of assimilation, cultural reformulation and renewal among the many communities of peoples in the United States.

Then you provided a link from Walter Moore for Mayor with false info on Mecha? No. Not good.

Here is what wikipedia says about these groups:
Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (M.E.Ch.A.) is a student organization that promotes higher education, cultura [culture], and historia [history]. M.E.Ch.A. was founded on the principles of self-determination for the liberation of our people. We believe that political involvement and education is the avenue for change in our society.

Dee said...

Now, let´s see what the larger groups like KKK, NSM or Aryan Nation says:

KKK: Ku Klux Klan (KKK) (pronounced "koo klux klann" or "kyoo klux klann") is the name of organizations in the United States that have advocated white supremacy, racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Catholicism, homophobia, anti-Communism and nativism. These organizations have used terrorism, violence, and acts of intimidation, such as cross burning and lynching, to oppress African Americans and other social or ethnic groups.

NSM: The National Socialist Movement (also called NSM or NSM88) is a neo-Nazi Party operating in the United States. In the United States, neo-Nazi groups are a sub-type of a wider array of anti-Semitic and white supremacist groups.

Aryan Nation: Aryan Nations (AN) is an international white supremacist, Neo-Nazi organization that is affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan. It was founded in the 1970s by Richard Girnt Butler as an arm of the Christian Identity group Church of Jesus Christ-Christian.

Dee said...

So you see Pat, even those groups I DO NOT link to do NOT advocate revolution or claiming the US to Mexico or a new country. Instead, they are about Education, History, Empowerment and Assimilation.

Meanwhile you have true hate groups like KKK, NSM and Aryan Nation who invoke Violence, Anger and even Murder not only against minorities, but against our government as well.

patriot said...

Just as I figured you would do, dee. You took things out of context that you liked and ignored the reclaiming of land part that the reconquistas call "Atzlan". Ok, I can play this game to. I will quote you the parts that you didn't like. What about the video, dee? You didn't say anything about that.

Here is some more for you from ADL.

"The Nation of Aztlan (NOA), first organized in the early 1990s, is a California-based Hispanic nationalist organization that claims to represent the desires and aspirations of the Hispanic community. The organization calls for the United States to return "Aztlan" territory - Aztlan being the mythic homeland of the Mexican people, or Aztecs, which according to legend is found in the American Southwest or Northern Mexico. The group's nationalist message is blurred by frequent appeals anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism, homophobia and other expressions of hatred."

patriot said...

dee, here are excerpts from one of the websites of which you chose to ignore these parts.

"MEChA is an Hispanic separatist organization that encourages anti-American activities and civil disobedience. The radical members of MEChA who refer to themselves as "Mechistas," romanticize Mexican claims to the "lost Territories" of the Southwestern United States -- a Chicano country called Aztlan. In its national constitution, MEChA calls for self-determination by its members to liberate Aztlan. MEChA's national constitution starts out: "Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlán must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community, politicizing our Raza with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán."

"In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny."

We are free and sovereign to determine those tasks which are justly called for by our house, our land, the sweat of our brows, and by our hearts. Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.

Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come and who struggles against the foreigner "gabacho" who exploits our riches and destroys our culture. With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan.

El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan sets the theme that the Chicanos (La Raza de Bronze) must use their nationalism as the key or common denominator for mass mobilization and organization. Once we are committed to the idea and philosophy of El Plan de Aztlan, we can only conclude that social, economic, cultural, and political independence is the only road to total liberation from oppression, exploitation, and racism. Our struggle then must be for the control of our barrios, campos, pueblos, lands, our economy, our culture, and our political life. El Plan commits all levels of Chicano society--the barrio, the campo, the ranchero, the writer, the teacher, the worker, the professional--to La Causa.

Nationalism as the key to organization transcends all religious, political, class, and economic factions or boundaries. Nationalism is the common denominator that all members of La Raza can agree upon.

Organizational Goals

1. UNITY in the thinking of our people concerning the barrios, the pueblo, the campo, the land, the poor, the middle class, the professional--all committed to the liberation of La Raza.

2. ECONOMY: economic control of our lives and our communities can only come about by driving the exploiter out of our communities, our pueblos, and our lands and by controlling and developing our own talents, sweat, and resources. Cultural background and values which ignore materialism and embrace humanism will contribute to the act of cooperative buying and the distribution of resources and production to sustain an economic base for healthy growth and development Lands rightfully ours will be fought for and defended. Land and realty ownership will be acquired by the community for the people's welfare. Economic ties of responsibility must be secured by nationalism and the Chicano defense units.

3. EDUCATION must be relative to our people, i.e., history, culture, bilingual education, contributions, etc. Community control of our schools, our teachers, our administrators, our counselors, and our programs.

4. INSTITUTIONS shall serve our people by providing the service necessary for a full life and their welfare on the basis of restitution, not handouts or beggar's crumbs. Restitution for past economic slavery, political exploitation, ethnic and cultural psychological destruction and denial of civil and human rights. Institutions in our community which do not serve the people have no place in the community. The institutions belong to the people.

5. SELF-DEFENSE of the community must rely on the combined strength of the people. The front line defense will come from the barrios, the campos, the pueblos, and the ranchitos. Their involvement as protectors of their people will be given respect and dignity. They in turn offer their responsibility and their lives for their people. Those who place themselves in the front ranks for their people do so out of love and carnalismo. Those institutions which are fattened by our brothers to provide employment and political pork barrels for the gringo will do so only as acts of liberation and for La Causa. For the very young there will no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.

6. CULTURAL values of our people strengthen our identity and the moral backbone of the movement. Our culture unites and educates the family of La Raza towards liberation with one heart and one mind. We must insure that our writers, poets, musicians, and artists produce literature and art that is appealing to our people and relates to our revolutionary culture. Our cultural values of life, family, and home will serve as a powerful weapon to defeat the gringo dollar value system and encourage the process of love and brotherhood.

7. POLITICAL LIBERATION can only come through independent action on our part, since the two-party system is the same animal with two heads that feed from the same trough. Where we are a majority, we will control; where we are a minority, we will represent a pressure group; nationally, we will represent one party: La Familia de La Raza!

1. Awareness and distribution of El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan. Presented at every meeting, demonstration, confrontation, courthouse, institution, administration, church, school, tree, building, car, and every place of human existence.

2. September 16, on the birth date of Mexican Independence, a national walk-out by all Chicanos of all colleges and schools to be sustained until the complete revision of the educational system: its policy makers, administration, its curriculum, and its personnel to meet the needs of our community.

3. Self-Defense against the occupying forces of the oppressors at every school, every available man, woman, and child.

4. Community nationalization and organization of all Chicanos: El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan.

5. Economic program to drive the exploiter out of our community and a welding together of our people's combined resources to control their own production through cooperative effort.

6. Creation of an independent local, regional, and national political party. A nation autonomous and free--culturally, socially, economically, and politically--will make its own decisions on the usage of our lands, the taxation of our goods, the utilization of our bodies for war, the determination of justice (reward and punishment), and the profit of our sweat.

By the way, I am well aware that the KKK and "some" other groups are racist groups. At least I admit it, I don't deny their existance and I am against them. Unlike you who are denying the existance and the racism of the reconquista Atzltanistas.

Your 1st quote is from a Blog.

Your 2nd is from a .edu archive.

Dee said...

Pat, Pat, Pat,
As I said, everyone on my blog list loves the USA and wants it to stay the USA. Period.
You will have to say who and what proof you have they are otherwise.
I don´t know of any!

Regarding so called Reconquistas, IF there are any, as the ADL site says, there may be 10. Hardly a group or a contingent. No one I know.

Hardly qualifies for comparison with the KKK, Aryan Nation, Minutemen, NSM, or other hate groups which total in the hundreds of thousands, perhaps more.

patriot said...

I quoted you Mecha's agenda as stated by their own organization. And what about the video, dee? It isn't made up. Those are the reconquista's words that came right out of their mouths.

I am not making any comparisons as to how many numbers of KKK'ers vs the reconquista organizations there are. Why are you? What does it prove? Nothing! They are all racists! Mecha has chapters in every college across our nation if you want to make nunmbers comparisons. It doesn't matter anyway, we as American citizens should admit all of their existances and denounce all of them. You only want to acknowledge and denounce any that show White racism but you deny any that show Latino racism. You are a hypocrite, dee! You are truly disgusting and two-faced!

Dee said...

Your name calling always amazes me. You pretend to be Christian, yet you are judgemental and a name caller. Shame on you.

Now go back to what I said. I said all on my bloglists are NOT RQs. Then I said if there are RQs, there are very few (I think your ADL link said 10) and the KKK, Aryans, Nazis, whose numbers are in the hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions, are the larger problem in regards to racism in this country.

While it is true I believe ALL racism is wrong, I was absolutely correct in what I said.

patriot said...

I hardly ever name call dee but when you attack me first or when you show what a hypocrite you are, I just can't help myself. You have a way of testing people's patience.

I don't like racists but I will take them any day over a group trying to set up a seperate country within the U.S. That is treason! That is against the laws of our country. Racism isn't against the law even though it's not right.

Instead of you acting like an adult and admitting that the reconquistas do exist in this country, you play number's games instead.

What about that video, dee? Your kind of quiet on that one, aren't you?

Dee said...

Pat Dear,
I stand by my responses. You can read them over if you like.

Also, I think you might find it fun to start a blog. If you do, I will link to it if you want.

patriot said...

What about that video, dee?

patriot said...

Here is just one example of the reconquista racism in the Hispanic Business Forum, dee. Of which is one of your "favorites". You want more examples from that forum, I have plenty of them. But you know you have read them yourself, right dee? But you will never admit to reconquista and racism by your raza, right dee?

This from a member by the name of Chuey.
